The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I decided to treat my son to this concert and booked through Viagogo. The attempt at booking failed to process and when I tried to book again the price had increased and for worse seats. When we eventually got the tickets the price indicated was more than double the price indicated on the ticket. The price sent on the confirmation is also in Euros which may suggest they are avoiding UK tax. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
I paid way over the odds for tickets to see Dixie Chicks at Manchester Arena from Viagogo. I needed to sell one of four tickets and listed the ticket on Viagogo. I reduced the price during the last week when there were very few tickets left for Block 115. Did not sell but at the concert someone was sitting in my unsold seat! When I contacted Viagogo the next day expecting a refund they said that they were unable to sell my ticket! I sent three e mails and got the same reply every time. I will never use this ticket site again and would advise everybody to stay clear. It's a SCAM site!
This company buy's batch tickets from external ticket brokers on their company creditcards and sale them for inflated prices, "customer support" = "copy past support"
Stay away at all cost!
Not going to lie I was a little skeptical about using this site since I had never in my life heard of them. I read a few reviews some good some bad and in the end decided to take a chance. I purchased a ticket to Coachella 3 days before the event. They were originally going to be mailed to me but they instead decided that having a pick up point for me close to the venue would be best. They kept in constant contact with me emailing me with updates. Even if I had a question the response time was excellent.
I purchased two tickets for Andre Rieu in Sydney. When I was buying these tickets the website was showing that I will receive tickets for one of sections from 31-32. I received tickets for section 53. I sent an email to the email address from the website. Person 1 replied that they see no problem with these tickets but If i disagree with it I should send another email. So I had to sent the same email to the same email address as previously. For my second email person 2 responded and asked me to prove it. I took a screenshot from their website and sent it to them. I also, sent more email requesting some answer but No response since then!
After paying a HUGE mark-up for tickets, I find out that they were obstructed view! NO WHERE in the advert for the tickets was this mentioned, nor were the seat numbers given prior to purchase. I was told what section they were in, and that was it. Once I purchased them, I looked up the seats to find here was a huge f^%&ng pole in front of them. Like I said, I paid 3x the face value, which I agreed to do for GOOD SEATS, not to stare at a pole. I have emailed and Facebooked Viagogo and have had no response. I definitely would not recommend them.
First of this website sent me knock of tickets then never responded to me when I told them that. I said they needed to refund me and they refused... next day the knock off tickets I bought for £174 when the value was about £80. Also they charged me for delivery? It was an emailed ticket! They were on my listings on the site and people bought them off me, it's been 2 weeks since the event and I still haven't gotten my money. (also £105 now so I've theoretically lost £70 to these bastards... I DIDN'T EVEN PUT UP THE LISTING! I was 100% sure that the tickets were fake... i wouldn't sell them to anyone... who would?) This website is a money grabbing leech and shouldn't even exist, don't touch it. It's worthless and rubbish and I am mad at myself for trusting it.
Not a serious company,
They will takeyour money and won't send you your tickets,
They are not responding to emails about this subject,
If they do response, they will say that they are chacking it
Or taking care of it,
In fact they do nothing, but stealing time and your moeny of course.
So buy elsewhere!
I bought there tickets 4 monthes before a concert, my order number *******,
Didnt get it of course, there was no adequate response till now,
I just understand it's a fake company.
Beware!
I purchased 2 tickets for 5SOS concert in October 2015 costing £68 each I have now received 2 tickets with a face value of £35 each viagogo have explained they act for 3rd parties whoes details cannot be released so David carpenter ( name on tickets) thank you very much for selling me 2 tickets at double their value these tickets were my daughter's main christmas present and paid for through hard honest work I have learnt my lesson! And will only ever now book direct with the venue viagogo have suggested I sell the tickets on through them so they would get even more commission I won't I don't want to disappoint my daughter and will never use this company again!
I have purchased two tickets from Viagogo for the Shawn Mendes concert in London on 6 May 2016. I paid £140 for two £22.50 face value tickets. A PDF of the tickets has been sent to me. It has another customer's name on the tickets. Concerned about this, I contacted the venue, Eventim, Apollo. They were very courteous, but explained they could not confirm whether or not these were genuine tickets nor whether duplicates of this same ticket had been sold. The very nice lady I spoke with explained that they have had problems with Viagogo and other similar websites and have a large number of people turning up at events with fraudulent or duplicate tickets. I have now looked up the person on the ticket and it turns out he is obviously a ticket tout as his company with £2m of assets is listed at the address on the ticket. Do I risk wasting more money on travel and accommodation in London for what could be duplicated tickets? Advice please!
UPDATE. The tickets were fine; we had no problems and enjoyed the concert, but enjoyment tempered by fears about not getting in leading up the the event.
Watch out viagogo is a scam, they promised to send the tickets at least 3 days prior to the event. My order id is ******* I wrote several messages with no reply and there is no contact phone number.
Follow up comment: I recieved the tickets approx 48 hours prior to the event (Singapore 7s), after I already flown to Singapore without any tickets. The tickets were also in the 5th row from the bottom in a corner of the field adjacent to the stadium sound system. We asked stadium management to move us to the unreserved area to find a better spot to watch the game and have a decent conversation (and retain our hearing). Not worth the stress to use Viagogo, the do not deliver in time and pick the wrong tickets. Customers deserved better.
I bought tickets to a PSG soccer match prior to my trip, which I unfortunately was not able to attend due to extenuating circumstances out of my control. I tried to sell my tickets a week in advance on the viagogo website and it would not work. I typed in the information at least 10 times and it was definitely accurate but it kept coming up with an error message. I contacted the help department online and received an automated message that I would hear back in 24-48 hours. 72 hours later and another attempt at contacting someone to help me and I still hadn't heard anything. Finally I received an email message which was completely automated and useless. It didn't even address the issue which I had explicitly wrote out in my email. Now that it was only 48 hours before the match, I emailed them again and heard back from a different person-- it was the same automated message! What is the point of customer service if they are not going to address a personalized problem? For those of us without phone access abroad, a helpful reply back through email should be expected, especially for such a big ticket selling business. I could have wasted another 50 bucks easily calling them on the phone for help, but I'm sure I would have gotten nowhere.
When I responded to the 2nd customer service rep and told him the issue, he responded to ask me for more information regarding my tickets. I quickly responded with that information, then never heard back. Radio silence. This caused me to lose almost 200 dollars and a whole bunch of frustration.
I attempted to sell the tickets on a competitor website, but according to PSG website, the tickets are personalized and ID needs to be shown. Therefore, viagogo is the only website you can actually sell them on. The whole thing is a complete scam and a ridiculous way to conduct customer service.
I wish to God I'd read these reviews before I paid out for tickets to a Yankees game in New York.
It bought 2 tickets for my partner as the game was on his birthday.
Repeatedly lied to and mugged off.
How and why are these scumbags getting away with still being in business?
I'm going to contact Watchdog - if they get enough complaints about the same company they will look into it.
I urge everyone NOT to buy from this company and for the rest of us to contact Watchdog.
Viagogo is a scam designed to protect the seller and collect commissions. Bought two tickets to see madrid on different occasions and both time they got me fakes with no refund.
Bought concert tickets for myself and a friend. A day before the concert we still hadn't received the tickets. Tried to contact the company multiple times but only got one automated reply via email (there is no contact phone number provided) we were messed about my both viagogo and the delivery company UPS. After being told that UPS could not deliver the tickets without some vague permission we were told at 5.20pm that UPS had lost the tickets but they could send us email tickets. The concert was at 7.00pm the same day 2hours away from us! They had had many chances to respond but communication was horrific and all together a disappointing and frustrating experience. Steer well clear.
I bought 4 tickets for Real Madrid vs Wolfsburg on 6th April 2016. I didn't received my tickets, paid 3367 euro for it. I wrote for them 5 times, they answered don't worry the tickets are all right... they wrote me today!(today is the match, I'm 1000 km far away from Wolfsburg!): Unfortunately we cant deliver your tickets, you can get them in a pick up point... We didnt go because we didnt have the tickets! I cancelled the hotel rooms (they will pay back 10%... $#*!...) DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CHEATERS!
My tickets have been shipped and appear as they have been delivered. I tracked my order and it has gone to the wrong address, very confused as I have put the right address on my booking information.
I emailed then 4 times and they won't respond! My tickets were $204 for a 5 Seconds of Summer show in september. Have a feeling viagogo aren't going to end up replying.
Be super careful on these sites as there is no way to get in contact with them other then email.
UPDATE: got in contact with viagogo and called them +61 1800 ******* (outside au) 1800 ******* (au) and they said they will resend the tickets. Hopefully they do! THESE NUMBERS WORK, I'VE TRIED MYSELF
I'll be honest and say we're a bit disappoint with the lack of customer service as we've emailed several times without any response. We have two issues that need to be resolved. Firstly, our profile setting was set to Hong Kong, before the tickets were purchased I took a photo of the screen to confirm the pricing with my partner. The screen was in HK dollars. So you can imagine our complete shock when we found that we had actually been charged in US dollars. What we thought was HK1665 ( x2 = 3680HK) was actually in US dollars. So we paid in total 3,836.83 US dollars for two tickets which is 29,785.27 HK. I'm sure you can understand the frustration. Also the tickets that were purchased are B Reserved. When you hover over the ticket that was purchased It's a floor ticket. What the actual seller gave us was Section 113, Row 15, Seat 15/16. When we asked the seller (30min before the show started) she said this was the B Reserved ticket and left the casino quickly. All messages went unanswered. This ticket and seat section were in the back of the stage... honestly the worst tickets in the house. We were going to just soak up the loss but given the fact that we were charges quadruple the price and the tickets that we received were not what we even paid for... we have an issue. We wrote to Viagogo after we noticed the huge charge and after 15 days they wrote back that they could't do anything because we didn't call right when we got the tickets. Firstly, they don't even list a customer service number on their site (sign number one!)... who were we suppose to call? But what we find really frustrating is the fact they won't stick by their 100% promise that they make you. Their seller sold bad tickets and they won't do anything about it. You've been warned! Don't buy here! Keep in mind we were also charged a $500 US dollar 'booking fee'... Insanity. Poor to zero customer service. Really awful company and I'll do everything in my power to make sure everyone knows about it until they fix the issue. DON'T BUY HERE!
I bought 2 tickets to a Warriors game. The tickets were supposed to be emailed to me by 3pm EST. It is now 6:17 EST and I still have NO tickets. The game is in 4 hours! They were so quick to respond to my emails when it came to payment information, but my emails to ask where the tickets are... NO response. Also, the order # given to me on all emails from them (and the contract) does not work when I put it in the website to do a tracking of my order. Very suspicious. I'm so bummed!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
