The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I assumed that U2s concert in Santiago, Chile in October 2017 would be a sell out in minutes and not having a Chilean ID to purchase tickets online, I looked for people selling general pre-sale tickets on other sites. I found viagogo for the first time and entered the concert name and venue and that I wanted two tickets. The price of $149,000peso came up but didn't say it was for one or two tickets anywhere so I assumed it was for two. I thought that was quite fair converting to my NZ dollars so proceeded to the checkout. Right up until I hit the purchase button it said my total purchase price was $149,000peso, but as soon as I clicked purchase there were all these other extra costs. I ended up paying $1280 NZ dollars for tickets that should have cost $335.00. Please somebody take this arsehole to court. I feel totally defrauded of hundreds of dollars I never agreed to pay.
I should have known I was being ripped off when the actual seats were not displayed. The taxes were added in and the tickets are ridiculously expensive but the site is very clever and looks like you are purchasing from an official site. The tickets arrived in another person's name. I have contacted Viagogo but not really expecting customer support. Definitely do not buy from this company! You feel like an idiot!
Bought a concert ticket for son. Ended up as a dowmloadable eticket paid double for. The name on it was another person and says on ticket not for resale. So I cannot use it at venue as I have already asked and they are doing ID checks. Viagogo only suggested reselling so they get more fees again and the same ticket doing the rounds to everyone. Imagine how much they are making. They wont reind or put my name on. I have reported them to action fraud which is basically the police. Would have put no stars but cannot do it
UPDATE
Today got a telephone call from viagogo promising my money for reselling the ticket. I think is is because I reported them to action fraud and kept emailing them with what was going to happen if I did not receieve a refund or payment for a resold ticket. Keep at them then you may get a refund too Would never buy from them again. I did advise they put on the website you will be buying a ticket with someone elses name on
I can believe what I have just seen, my tickets arrived after I was lead to believe that I was buying tickets directly and sitting a lot closer to the stage! I have found to have paid £120 extra for tickets and sitting way back in the floor stalls! The tickets have also arrived in another persons name! I am so upset! Totally ruined this event for me... I actually am really upset on how a business can actually be allowed to operate and no one is able to step in to manage them!
Total price paid for two tickets for NFL game at Wembley was 4 or 5 times the face value (which was never disclosed during the purchase process of course.)
Tickets were good and arrived on time but I am so disgusted at the markup of price I can't give more than one star. Will never use Viagogo again.
Can anyone offer any help? I bought 2 tickets in June for the Foo Fighters in Virginia 14th October, to have just received an e mail from Viagogo saying tickets are no longer available from the seller! Also told "dont worry! You can choose alternatives which of course aren't available! Sent them numerous e mails asking for clarification with no response. It does offer a refund but didnt want to risk it just yet in case alternatives do become available? Wish I'd read the reviews before booking through them:-(
Misleading the public to think they are official sellers. I was overcharged £250 and no breakdown - only just realised they had scammed me and I called my bank and they are fully aware of this company. They receive complaints all the time about them so am now seeking legal advice.
Bought Elton John tickets for Mackay 5 months before concert!. Ordered "best available" seats and paid AU$250 each. At the concert found out their original price was AU$99 each! And literally in the back row. Viagogo priced them at AU$194 + booking fee $54 + handling fee $2. Trying to contact them is a joke. If not fraud then certainly extortion - STAY WELL CLEAR!
I have been mugged completely. I ticked the box that states "ALL TICKETS MUST BE SOLD TOGETHER" then i get an email saying that I've sold 2 of my tickets and i have to give them over or else i have to pay more than i would be getting from them. I am a student so i don't have a lot of money, i physically can't pay for this. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! I am going to file a claim but as i have read here a lot of people have lost money or had similar experiences. If you want to get your money back then sue them with me. I am absolutely gutted and so angry.
My experience is similar to most. My tickets (which I paid four times what I should have) were turned away at the gate. I received a letter of denial from the event. I tried mailing it to the address I was given but the letter was returned unopened. There is no way to attach it to their text box on-line and I cannot get past the automated answering machine by phone to talk to anyone. I have spent hours trying to get through to these people. My advice to anyone is to just stay away from this company.
Hi
I write this in order for other people to not to have to experience when buying form viagogo. I bought tickets approximately 25 days before the event took place through Viagogo. They just send me an email confirming the sale and said the tickets will be available for delivery 3 days at least, before the event. They never contacted me unless I reached them through their site asking for the status of my tickets. Even the day before the event took place I contacted them and they told me I was fine. 4 hours prior to the event they emailed me saying the seller was not able to deliver and that they had tried to get me similar tickets but couldn't. They will refund me the money in 10 days and that's it.
I had travelled to Vegas, paid for airline tickets, hotels, and all the regular expenses a trip has to see the fight Canelo vs golovkin and because of bad luck I chose an unprofessional reseller, Viagogo, who didn't deliver and was not even worried about it. They did refund the money like a week after the event took place but I just wanted people to know that this site is not trustworthy.
I hope this review helps.

As you can see from all over the Internet these low life scammers are disgusting and money grabbers. Lost £400 because tickets didn't come in time for performance and their response was nothing we can do not our problem. Want to sue these scumbags. Never been so disgusted in my life.
ViaGoGo is a complete rip-off and fraud. Purchased 2 x tickets to full day (1200-1800) at Oktoberfest for Sunday Sept. 17th. I received tickets less than a week before departure. I found out when arriving in Munich that the entry bracelets we received were actually only good from 1500-1800 (AFTER arriving at our tent with my wife!). ViaGogo offered apologies and refund of 100 on a 490.00 purchase and I rejected demanding a full refund or ½ at minimum.
Gets worse and more insulting though. We did get into our tent at 1500 and met 2 other Americans who has also bought on ViaGoGo. We ended up being the only four people at a table set for 10 people and the tent organizers said all dinners had been pre-made based on 10 people per table and we were asked to pay for 3 additional dinners and desserts each!
After fighting back and forth (easily a dozen email and web exchanges), ViaGoGo made final offer of 175 which I have no choice but to accept and as we were forced to pay by cash for the extra dinners they would not refund this additional money either.
Absolute BS. STAY AWAY, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM! Thieves
Showed up to the event and was told my tickets were already used. This company doesn't deserve one star. SCAM!
Has anybody every received tickets that were valid?
I rang HSBC to try to stop payment. To no avail and the phone number they put on the transaction is not recognised.
Tickets aren't even real on it. Not only are you being charged for fake tickets but they add fake fees aswell which is absolute crap. Got scanned over £800...
Absolute rip off! They added £80 of booking fees and vat AFTER I had confirmed my payment! So so angry, and their customer service is awful and have not replied to my email!
Buys out all tickets available for anything that is in demand. Continues to sell those same tickets immedietly x5 of the original price. Hearing the name of this website makes me vomit.
This is the worst site ever! We were sold cancelled tickets to Book of Mormon in Melbourne. They put "buyers" in touch with "sellers" and you will not know if your tickets are good until you get to the event. Awful experience. We were tuned away, show was sold out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
