Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I purchased a world cup ticket which arrived over a week after the game and even though the tracking number says it they insist it arrived in time. I lost airline tickets because without my ticket I couldn't get into Russia. I had to open a dispute with my credit card.

Just bought Bluejay tickets and didn't realize how sketchy their marketing scheme was. They had a countdown of how many tickets were left, how many people were viewing the same event to get you hyped on buying hotseats " Theses supposed "hotseats" are merely overpriced tickets that buyers wanted to resell. I bought my tickets for 40.00 and when the purchase went through, the tickets org purchase was $30.00, but the advertisement said I saved $20.00.
A bank representative told me I could call disputes the next business day. I'm waiting for the transaction to go through so I could call customer service again and then they can call their contact info and run an investigation. Only issue I have at the moment is waiting for this dispute to be resolved and I hope to do that before tickets sell out!
Red Flag:
1. Timer countdown/ high pressure sales tactic
2. Handling fee in small print at the bottom of website. NOT included in transaction before you press approve!
3. A pop up window saying $5.95 booking fee and $15.00
4. NO customer service phone number
5. Wasn't able to login with my first password.
6. Previously bought ticket downloaded with name... not sure if this is legit.

I was comparing ticket prices and selected tickets on Viagogo, entered all the information required and got to the final purchase page - which is where they tell you about the EXTRA COSTS, they are currently in violation of the ASA rules for this btw.
I went no further with the purchase and used the O2 website instead.
I have now been charged by Viagogo for the tickets, will raise a fraudulent transaction case with my Credit card company in the morning, bunch of crooks.

Never buy tickets from Viagogo! I paid almost three times as much as the ticketmaster price for a Beyonce and Jay Z concert. And I got the ticket only a week before the event.

Tickets are a gift for my daughter's 18th birthday - I'm hoping like heck that they are valid at the door! We paid more than 3 times the ticket value for %ç*" placement and absolutely no help from customer service - apparently they examined the tickets are are so happy to tell me they are what I paid for. Feeling completely ripped off!

Complete Scam
June 18, 2018

Paid £177.00 for 2 tickets to see David Byrne in Manchester. At the door our tickets were scanned and had been used before. Checked with the box office and informed that this happens all the time with Viagogo. A three hour round trip, car parking charges and no concert. Absolutely furious.

We got great seats, but didn't realize there was an additional handling charge. Oh well, great seats to the concert, despite the fact that they were in someone else's name, which was a little worrisome. Worked out okay though.

Scampers!
June 16, 2018

Viagogo sell your imaginary tickets and you will be screwed if you organise travel around it like I did for the Russia World Cup where at the very last minute of my chasing them for weeks they informed me that the tickets aren't available. They were so casual about the fact that I incurred so much coz because of their stupid guarantee that they will get the tickets to me... it is actually a scam and you buy tickets through them at your peril.

Bought 4 tickets via these cons for the All Blacks v France Rugby game in Wellington last night. Paid $120 each for them with Visa luckily so can claim against them. When they arrived they were $75 tickets and they had not paid the Rugby Union for them so we couldn't get in unless we paid another $75 each. There were several people lined up at the ticket box with the same problem. GOOGLE time to BAN viagogo from your search engine as they always come up first and shouldn't be there at all with their track record

Avoid.
June 15, 2018

Bought a last minute eticket for Download festival from Viagogo - I originally wasn't going to go due to cost but when i saw this ticket at half price of the face value i could afford that. I drove 2 hours to the festival and was refused entry as the eticket had already been used.

I rang up Viagogo customer service and they said they were unable to help me. Tickets were still on sale at the box office at face value but they refused to get me a replacement my ticket.

Download festival staff on the gate said they had already turned away lot of other people for having invalid tickets they bought from Viagogo. This is apparently was a common problem with Viagogo customers.

Viagogo's offer of a refund within a week was not much help when you are standing at the gates of a festival foced to shell out another £220 for a replacement ticket you hadn't budgeted for, which even if i eventually get the refund will be £100 more expensive I originally paid them for the ticket.

Completely inadequate customer protection and waste of time 'guarentee' - if you buy a ticket there is no way of knowing if it will be valid until you get there and if it isn't you are screwed and then have to chase Viagogo for your money back. You are relying completely on the individual seller using Viagogo being trustworthy and not selling the eticket more than once or using it themself as Viagogo has no way to stop this happening despite you paying a ridiculously high fee for them to do nothing (in this instance the Viagogo transaction fee was about £30). AVOID!

DO NOT USE
June 14, 2018

Do not ever use this site for tickets. We bought tickets thru this site for Yanni here in Tucson in good faith. The site indicated best available at that moment within my price range and they were no where near that. I asked several people about 12 rows down my issue and they told me what they paid. I also paid a $15. Fee just to get the tickets... Guaranteed this will not happen again.

This review is for sellers only (I've had no issues as a buyer but I am staying away nonetheless). They do not have a customer support system, only FAQs. The only way to contact them was by sending a direct message on twitter, and someone replied 5 days later. The tickets I sold had to be picked up at the venue and the reason I could not attend the concert was that I'm out of the city. I changed the delivery address so the tickets would be mailed directly to the buyer. I tried to confirm this was allowed, and I received no answer. I tried calling a phone number I found online (their website provides none). No answer. That was the only solution to my problem. One day before the event, after the tickets were delivered, they emailed me (they do have a an email address) to say my order would be cancelled because I did not mail the tickets myself but had them delivered directly. This is dumb because the outcome is the same (if not better). The email said I should not reply because it won't go through. I did anyways. I then got a call (they do have a phone number) and I was told me they will charge a fee for the cancellation, even though their website says the fee is to replace tickets and the tickets were delivered so why would they charge me? The person who called me was extremely rude. She also confirmed that they received an email so they lied about not getting messages. She lied and said I had been in constant communication with them (she was referring to the direct message on twitter that took 5 days to reply and the email I got the day before the event even though I had been trying to contact them for weeks now). I am still fighting with them and to receive payment for the tickets that were used and I will not pay them a cent for a replacement fee because nothing had to be replaced.

Is Viagogo one of the worst businesses in Britain?
Secondary ticketing site faces investigation after criticism of its sky-high m
This company are scammers, I bought tickets for the soccer world cup in Russia and they sent me tickets with different names.
I contacted to tell them and they did not ask me for the names of the others affected and they told me that they did not return the money.
That is, I do not receive the tickets and they do not return the money.
Please share so that people do not buy anything with them, now the fifa is demanding them to sell tickets without authorizing them the fifa.
The solution was to go directly to the fifa website and buy them, on the official site.

Rip off merchants

NEVER USE VIAGOGO they lie and pressure sell for example, 'deals going fast' and 'only X tickets left'. You will not get any deals from Viagogo... experience is when you book with Viagogo you get ripped off with massively over priced tickets and extortionate booking fees, including when face value tickets are still available.

Avoid what happened to me and many others. I bought two tickets to see the Rolling Stones in Cardiff, ticket face value £59.95. Viagogo price after adding their "fees" right at the end of the transaction in a totally underhand manner was £130. I feel such a fool, cheated, and ashamed that this can happen to anyone in this country of ours. Dreadful shameful company who bring discredit to online selling. Avoid them please.

The booking fee is hideous and last minute, they hide behind the cloak of switzerland and dont give a monkeys, you buy face value tickets of £180 and you get £45 tickets and they charge you £120 for the privilege. They wont answer the phone to you, there are no laws in switzerland hence they dont have to care, they are taking as much money out of you before they get shutdown. The FCA are already looking at imposing penalties and for now their fraud continues. Please dont be a victim, use a UK based company that abides by UK laws.
