Venus is awesome!

I like Venus because the sizing of their clothing is realistic. They also have a large selection of sizes, expanding into plus sizes. The designs are contemporary and fashionable! They don't just focus on one type either. They can fill your whole closet needs!

Cheaply made

I've been a longtime customer, and I used to love their clothes. Most of my clothing had come from Venus, but lately, the quality of clothing has changed. I purchased a pair of white pants, and the material was thin that after one wash, the pants seemed to be coming apart and was getting those little balls of cloth that were rolling up on the legs. I also purchased a necklace. It was gold with a leopard print pendant. It fell apart on the day it arrived—-ON THE DAY IT ARRIVED.

I had to makeshift fix it.

Their clothes are so cheap now, it's not even worth the prices. DO NOT BUY! You may as well purchase clothes from those shady ad sites that pop up on Facebook that you know come directly from some random site in China. At least then it would be cheap and you get what you pay for. At Venus, you pay more for the exact same quality.

I ordered this in black on 09/13/13 and received it 10/09/13. I opened the package with excitement to only get a huge let down. The fabric is Halloween costume material at best. China made and extremely poor quality. Not what they have in picture! I can see through it. I followed the size chart and it is way too small. I can't even get it on. It should be big on me. I will never waste money ordering from Dressvenus again. This will go in the costume box for my daughter to wear since it may fit her next Halloween

Cheap cheap cheap quality... that is all. For $44+shipping i got one cheap, tight, thin, ugly sweatshirt. Of course it looks nice on 0 size model before washing the product but in real world after one initial wash it is looking 10 years old and threads hanging everywhere.

Great clothing

I would give them a 5 but tops need to be hand washed and do well if they are hand washed. Clothes fit as described. A little pricey, just wait for the sales. I would recommend Venus for great fashions.
Pictures on here are all from Venus and over a year old, still wears well.

It's a shame. I loved buying clothes from Venus. LOTS of clothes. However, as of lately, the company has gone downhill. Within 6 months, dresses that I have ordered have been discontinued before they ship to me. This is becoming a trend with this company. I called customer service to see what was going on and the rep told me that not all of the clothing items are actually available. They put clothes on the website to gauge how well the item will sell, but they don't actually have that item in stock. Therefore, you pay for it and about a week later you'll get an email stating that the item (or multiple items in my case) are discontinued. Very strange, unreliable, and annoying. Sorry Venus! You lost a customer. A good one, too.

I have been purchasing from Venus for many years. I am usually happy with their clothing, but sometimes the quality is less than desirable. My most recent experience was with a pair of jeans that were not sized correctly (2 sizes off according to most customers). I returned them because I didn't like them and was told that they were a final sale item and I would not be getting a refund OR a credit to purchase something else in the future. Seriously? I have never heard of a company doing business like this ever in my entire 63 years! I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again. My next call is to the Better Business Bureau!

FRAUDULENT RETURN POLICY
September 23, 2020

If you live outside the US, then don't even think about returning as the Free Return/$6.95 refund return won't apply to you! This is despite the invoice and associated information on the website and included in the package saying otherwise. It will cost me $80.95 to return the $78 bikini I purchased. A bikini which in real life was pretty different than the photo on the website. I will never buy from this organisation again!

Update: If you are reading this and purchased through PayPal. Lodge a dispute with them. PayPal ended refunding me after investigating the dispute based on the above experience.

Btw, I did email and use online chat with them. There was no confusion Venus. The comment below is offensive. Your customer service was neither helpful, apologetic or willing to assist.

Very good!

I love to shop on Venus.com. I'm not saying that everything is perfect but they are good. The only thing is- they are a bit expensive. They always put a return slip with the shipment, they also return the money fast, the customer service answers the phones and emails.
Next, the sizing is pretty accurate. Sometimes items run big but that happens even if you go the store it's just you can take the right size right away. I always read what's the textile of the clothes because the items really look good on the photo.
Overall, I haven't had any problems with Venus so far.

Frustrated
December 19, 2018

I have a full closet of Venus clothing. I wear a piece@ least 4 days a week. I love it! But when an item doesn't fit right & they don't have my size, I feel robbed when they charge me $6.95 to return every time! What is the advantage of a Venus credit card anyway?! I'm done. Full wardrobe & all! They are loosing one of their best customers! Sad for both parties! -Jenna Thompson

Let me start by saying that I love the clothes. The tops I have ordered have been super cute and I have been pleased with my purchases. But recently it seems that the items I select for purchase have been unavailable. A month or so ago the online catalog featured a bunch of new styles and I placed 5 tops in my shopping cart. Yet, when I went to check out, not one of them was available. The note next to each item would say something like available 10-21-15. That's a long time to wait when you order in May! Also, the next time I viewed the catalog, those items were no longer featured. I don't know what to make of it. It's frustrating.

Stealing of duties
November 6, 2019

Made a purchase of 22.00 which is far below the maximum allowed for duty free into Canada. Venus charged duties based on what? I asked for a refund they refused and stated that l should contact border services for refund. Ridiculous why would border services refund me when Venus pocketed the money. This is corrupt!

Every time I have order from Venus the clothing is very cheap made thin or the wrong size, you have to pay for the return. Also watch your Bill because the charge you and extra $2.00 dollar a month for amount on your bill, I pay the balance on the statement off didn't check my bill turn out my balance was 95 cent end up paying a late fee of $25.00 dollars, customer service was very rude, the clothing are so cheap, I want to close my account but I have to wait until they get the return. Think they clothes was made in China. So please don't shop at Venus.

This is a phenomenal company. I have always received my order within just days, and they provide free shipping on initial orders, returns and exchanges. If you want or need to return your item, no need to explain why, and the time period in which to do so is vast. When ever I've had an exchange, I've always received the new item within one-two days! Great customer service, this company cares very much about their customer relationships. They will do anything to make their patrons happy.

When I order an item from the magazine or online, the quality looks great. But when it arrives after I have ordered it, the material looks nothing like in the photos. I honestly think that they make high-quality stuff for the models to wear, and make cheaper versions to ship out. Also, the restocking fees and shipping label fees when you're doing a return ( because everything I've ordered from there has been made out of low grade material, nothing like what you see in the pictures) are outrageous, makes it to where you hardly get your money back.

I paid addition money for faster shipping... to get the shoes by New Years... well guess what? Two weeks later today they came in! Not only did they come in but when I put them on they were the cheapest product with like an inch extra in back when I am a perfect 8.5! I want to return for a refund but God only knows how long that's gonna take! Guess on offer up these junks go

They need to clearly state what their return policy is. It doesn't say anywhere that if you don't want to participate in their wallet credit you will be charged $6.95 for the label fee. So only after you make a purchase and receive your order, you see the details of what the return will cost.
The clothes are cheaply made for how much they cost. It's very thin and Walmart quality for shirts that were $40. My mistake for ordering from a company I've never heard of. Will be returning everything and will not order from them again.

All the negative reviews on here must be from people who don't know good quality. Most of my wardrobe is from here and I love everything I've bought. I've never had to return anything and buy things from this website a few times a month. Highly recommend!

A Scam

I ordered a pair of bottoms recently from the Venus website for 23.99 and upon returning them was only refined 13.95 because of return shipping costs'. Completely unacceptable and their website does not offer the opportunity to place reviews on products that I saw. Would not recommend.
