I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell).

Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?)

Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband!

However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC.

My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!)

Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

I have been using venus for years. I have gotten dresses and tops. All seems to be the same fabric and everything i have ordered fit well. I have been happy with it. Never had to return anything. Have probably, 8-10 items from them.

The cover up I ordered was of very poor quality... the sizing was even worse... this was my second attempt to purchase from them and the first purchase I regret not returning the items but I received them a few days before my trip. I would have learned my lesson sooner and never followed through with order #2. I don't want to tell you to cancel your order but there a better companies out there with much better service.

I have never ordered a bathing suit from this company. I have ordered blouses and dresses. The quality was hit and miss, but the "miss" happened only twice. Since these clothes are not made in China, the sizes run pretty accurately. I have ordered from them 4 times and overall, I have been satisfied. I hope this information was helpful:-)

Quality is very poor. I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to... Macy's or Walmart! My opinion as soon as you put it on just know you will wash it a few times and be done... However very pretty stuff bottom line you pay for what you get

I have ordered 5 large separate orders with Venus.com. Before my winter holidays.
Always great compliments, always fit, not a scam... had to return one dress, it was the wrong one... easy customer service, gave myself lots of time for delivery before my trip.
I am concerned with these recent reviews, I appreciate everyone that wrote in, since I'm Canadian and we pay much more with customs and our low dollar. Good luck! I am going to try them again and write a review on that experience.

The answer is going to depend and the person. I would say they are on par with NY&co. Or WalMart. Personally I dont find their pieces to be of good quality. They use young models and must pin and pad them like crazy to make pieces look like they fit. The sizing of the swim suits I ordered was way off and clothing seems to be mainly polyester.

Someone wrote "you can always return it later" its not that simple. Their return process is a nightmare. You use their shipping label they provide and they charge you $20 for returning the merchandise. Then Venus takes a very long time to refund your money. I returned two shirts and Venus charged me $20 for using their label and shipping charges. The quality is not all that great and they are not true to their size at all. There is a reason why they have such horrible reviews.

I LOVE their long dresses. I have one coverup, which is fine. I generally really like them- for the price, it's worth it.

I haven't bought a cover up. I did buy some dresses and jumpsuits. The dresses were not what was in the picture and the fabric on 3 were very thin see through. My return was actually easy. There was a return shipping label included in the box. I just won't buy from them because of the bait and switch of the dresses and the poor quality of the fabric. I did better shopping at Wal-Mart.

The quality is the kind that you wash once and it's a unraveled mess and they run large in size, also they charge you 16.00 to return it and that's not including the FedEx pick up charge.

I don't know how much more evidence do you need. It's clear from the reviews and the products that we have purchased that this company sells inferior products and they have a restrictive return policy.

You would be better off making your own cover up. Even if you've never made your own clothing. The clothing is terrible. The clothing is nothing like the pictures. Don't waste your time or money!

The swimsuits are nice but only if you are thin! You can buy a swimsuit cover-up just about anywhere! I would cancel...

I recently order from Venus and I really like the materials and the quality of their clothing. I love all what I send to get from them. Love their clothing. I went on vacation and wear the clothing and I got good responds for the clothing. I felt like the main attraction.

The clothes I ordered were of standard quality. I wouldn't worry about it and just return it if you're not satisfied. Be warned though, most complaints are regarding returns.

Not sure about the cover ups, but I think their swim suits are awesome! I wouldn't cancel, you can always return it later.

From my own personal experience with buying their clothing, I haven't had a bad experience yet! I love the quality of material used on all my purchases! I wish there was a section on the reviews where we could post pictures so then I could show the comparison of the pics in the brochure and of me wearing the outfits! I tell you I'm impressed! The quality for me is like if you went to Macy's and bought them in person! My own personal opinion and experience!
