A few years ago, I ordered several tops and dresses, all in XS, from the Venus catalog and everything was much too large for me (5'5", 125 lbs). Not to mention half of the items were totally different colors than what was depicted in catalog photos! Rather than lose most of my refund to their HORRIFIC return policies (you can lose up to 65% of your refund WHILE ALSO having to pay for return shipping out of pocket), I kept everything begrudgingly. I just tried to list a Venus maxi dress on eBay and got my listing reported and taken down because I *GASP* used a photo of the dress from their online catalog. I've resold tons of brand name clothing items and products on eBay using stock photos for over 15 years and NEVER, EVER had a company have the gall to report me to eBay! I will absolutely never do business with this horrible, selfish, greedy company ever again! I love how they act like 'free shipping over $100!' is SUCH A HUGE FAVOR to the customer, when I know plenty of awesome clothing brands that offer free shipping on $25 and $50 orders! And forget ever finding coupons to use! Who do these people honestly think they are? They don't deserve your business or your money! STAY AWAY!

Was about to place my first order... after ready all the negative reviews... no thanks... i don't need all this aggravation
As a first time customer of Venus, I have read many reviews to make sure I could trust the sizing of their products. Unfortunately I received my order yesterday and sure enough, it was just a bit too small. The item is so cool that I immediately started to package it up for a size exchange. Now on left side of the Exchanges & Returns explanations it does say - "complete bottom portion of invoice (see reverse side) that was included with your package and indicate if you prefer an exchange or refund. Exchange shipping is FREE, regardless of the number of items you order."
Now, on the right side of this document, it states under Convenient Prepaid Return Label, down a piece, it says "Please note that use of the prepaid return label will result in a $6.95 deduction from you refund/exchange credit"
So just being confused with this conflicting information, I called the Customer Care area this morning and was told that - if you order the amount of items that totals the free shipping requirement ( $100.00) it would indeed be a free exchange with no exchange charge. Excuse me - but this is considered non-disclosure in the business I am in and most others. The customer care person even added fuel to my utter amazement at this answer by saying to me - "what I advise people in your situation is to go and have the package weighed and if the cost is less than $6.95, pay that amount and send your package in to be exchanged." What? I am amazed as many sellers are abandoning the charge on exchange policies but apparently Venus is above this. As a first time buyer and absolutely a last time buyer - please read these reviews. Non-disclosure is as close to false advertising as it gets. Happy shopping to those who don't care. I sure am not convinced to order items over the free delivery limit to avoid an EXCHANGE of a great item. Buyer beware.

Upon ordering several items I returned one item in which the store charge you shipping to from as well as handling fee. Sizes do not run true to size
I ordered multiple items for my wife for Christmas with 2 day shipping on December 16, I recieved a notice that It was shipped on the 18th and the another saying they would not arrive til Dec 28th. No resolution with CS they blaimed UPS. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I ordered over 5k worth of gifts that same day and recieved everyone of the except venus. $#*!

My husband and I started buying stuff from VENUS in the past year we thought that they had a great return policy as I'm a very petite person it's sometimes difficult to get stuff to fit me. Their claim is that they have perfect fit every time type of sizing. But I am constantly sending stuff back because it never fits. Whether they're getting stuff from different manufacturers or what they are doing I'm not really sure. But the sizes are not consistent. I recently placed an order where I received some Venus dollars towards a future purchase. So utilize those Venus dollars towards my next purchase I had $50 in these Venus box that they do and of course I get my next order and stuff doesn't fit. And they don't offer sizes smaller than these items so I would have to return them for something else. The girl told me that they won't honor the VENUS dollars that I had put towards that purchase towards a different purchase for new items. So basically I just lost $50 in reward dollars. I asked to speak with a manager and her manager was just so conveniently too busy to talk. So I told them I will send everything back and I won't spend any more money with them. My husband and I have probably both separately spent $1000 since Christmas time and stuff for myself. If they're going to offer these reward dollars and people need to return stuff because their items aren't fitting properly then they should honor those reward dollars towards whatever the person is switching them out for. That's just a total scam and ridiculous. I'm done buying with them I am so angry and frustrated. As a customer service representative could have cared less. She was just kind of like oh I'm sorry there's nothing we can do for you I know it stinks. That's not proper customer service that's ridiculous. Not to mention I'm finding a lot of products aren't made as nice as they look in the image as you get them and they're like a cheaper looking T-shirt almost material. And for the price it's just ridiculous.

I recently purchased several Items for my daughter. Every Item was of poor quality and could not be worn! They did not look like what was pictured!
The clothes are a bit expensive for the cheap quality you receive... I will never order from them again..

I am a size 12-14 with curves. The order above is a reorder/exchange for a square neck t-shirt that I previously ordered, according to the size chart provided by Venus, in a 1X. The 1X fit like a women's small to medium and the quality was decent enough to reorder in a larger size. I reordered in a 3X, despite wearing a Large or Extra Large normally, based upon the fit of the 1X. The 3X is HUGE! At least 4, if not 5 full sizes larger than the 2 1X's I order just weeks before.
I ordered 5 other shirts in 2X & 3X and the range of sizes I got are comparable to a women's small to a 5X. The quality is ALL OVER THE PLACE, too. Mostly bad, extremely thin and cheap material that will fade in color and pill, needing to be shaved after every wash.
15 years ago Venus had decent clothes that lasted for years. Although you always knew to size up, the product was consistently sized small across the board so ordering was easy. Not anymore. Now they are Walmart quality. Very sad.
I ordered four bikinis from Venus. Everything fit great and came in a timely matter except one of the bikini tops I needed to exchange for a different size. I placed my exchange order on April 4th with the promise it'd be in stock and shipped on April 28th. It never shipped. I went on an extended vacation (would have been nice to have my bikini for it) on May 2nd which is when I called to change my mailing address and was told it'd be shipped on May 6th. When that day came and went I called again and was told it would be shipped May 13th. When that day passed I called again and was told it'd now be June 22nd. I will NEVER order from this company again which is a shame because I really like their swimsuits. I asked if they could give me some sort of discount and the representative said no. On their website the exact bikini top is less than the price I paid so I asked to get that price and that was the least the representative could do. I am extremely disappointed as my vacation and summer will be over by the time (if and when) the bikini is shipped. With so many other retailers to buy from I will never shop with Venus again.

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
