I've had my Venus credit card for almost a year, just recently they started to charge me a late fee EVERY MONTH. I wrote and mailed my check on July 13th... due date was July 18th. That's 5 days to go from Pensacola Florida to San Antonio TX... WHEN WAS 5 DAYS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO MAIL A CHECK? I called customer service and they were unwilling to help me said I needed to change my due date time, how ridiculous is that? So I closed my account! I'm going to get in touch with the BBB and anywhere else i can get this info out
Booties I purchased were a bit too big, so I saw that a smaller size was available on the site and placed the order over the phone. I didn't want to mail in and use the exchange form because I was afraid they would sell out of my new size. After I received the email that my new order was processed, I shipped the too-big shoes back. Two days later, I noticed my smaller size order got 'cancelled' when I looked at my order history! They were out of stock, but hadn't updated their website. So it showed the smaller size was there but it really wasn't. I would have *never* mailed back the larger size had I known I would not get the smaller size. The customer service manager gave me a $10 store credit, and said he would try and intercept the return once received, and mail them back to me. ***UPDATE*** I got the bootie I wanted today! Their customer service has been spectacular. They Answer the phone promptly, are friendly, and do what they say they are going to do! Thanks to the customer service manager for making this happen. I am so happy.
I have shopped online Venus for 9-10 years my closet is 50% Venus clothing. Some clothes are good quality and some I returned are horribly cheap. I love the syles and colours. For the past year i have been trying to unfreeze my account. They froze my account after there own mistake! I had three seperate orders that never showed up and when i called them the customer service agent said she could not find the orders on her end and that she thought it was fraudulent and that i should refuse the charges for it on my credit card. So i took her advice and did just that! Then they froze my acount not letting me make orders. I talked to custer care again and she said she was emailing the finance department. This is the same response as last 3 times ive called to get this rectified. I have never recieved a call back or an apology for there mistake! In fact there representative said they have probably refused me as a client. Hu! 9-10 years of my Canadian money and expensive rate shipping down the drain as in not appreciated at all. So disapointed and pissed off. I love fashion and do love online shopping! It really is there loss! Very poor service.! Uh hu! And get this if i want to unfreeze my account Venus wants me to pay for the 3 orders that i never received and refused on my credit card by the advice of there customer representative. Go figure! Get real eh!
I have read all yoru reviews and they are terrible especially for canadians. I say you have to change some rules. I won't be your target for unhidden fees..
They get a 1 star rating on their deceitful collection of Canadian duties and taxes alone. They don't have authorization to collect those on behalf of CBSA, so I'm wondering where that money is going. They don't tell you they want you to pay that until AFTER you put the charges through and go about your merry way. Then a day later or so, you get an email insisting you pay these charges, "after which time your item will be placed in transit"
Upon calling to cancel my order (because I am not paying these fees to anyone but the CSBA through Canada Post), I was informed that my order had already been shipped out, even though their email said that wouldn't happen until I paid those charges for Canadian duty and tax to them. The customer service rep said it would just go through USPS (which is should be anyway) and that once I receive it I can just refuse it and they'll send it back to them. He could not explain to me why it had been shipped out, yet the email said it would not be until those fees were paid to them. Nor did he sound surprised at the content or sentiment of my call...
Sneaky. Really dishonest company. I will never buy from them again, based on their deceitfulness alone.
I ordered the Striped Maxi Dress #Z******* and it was exactly the way it is presented in the magazine and online! I am totally SATISFIED and Over Joyed! I will be ordering from VENUS again in the near future for sure!
We have tried multiple orders from venus and evey time, the products are of very poor quality. When we return them, it costs $7 to return, and $7 to order the poor quality products. So, it cost $14 to find out their products are JUNK. We canceled the catalog. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BUY FROM VE US.
I ordered a dress from Venus on December 13th, I paid $13.00 extra for two shipping... it said my Oder went through and I should be receiving it by December 15th. After a week past and I still didn't receive it I contacted the company who told me that my dress was on back order and said it would be shipped out on December 29th. Today I called and they said it was still on back order and would be until the week of January 13th! They also were still trying to charge me for my two day express delivery because they said after the dress was no longer on backorder I don't as going to get it within two days! It's been over a month already $#*!s! I hate this company and will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!
The problem is the warehouse, I think! I ordered a pajama set and paid for 2nd day shipping. The pajamas did not come and they blamed it on UPS - said they would refund the 13.95 shipping. My package showed up a few days later. When I opened it, there was only the TOP to the pajama set, no bottoms! It was a SET and NOT SEPARATES, meaning I paid ONE PRICE for a SET that CAME with both a top and a bottom for ONE PRICE. LOL... A SET! So I called customer service and of course, the item is no longer in stock, so can't get the bottoms that were PART OF A SET! Great customer service, refund and gift card but NEVER AGAIN!

I had to pick a number for the review. I had to pick one. I would give a 0! I used to order from Venus years ago and didn't have a good experience. Now that VICTORIAS SECRET isn't selling their amazing bathing suits anymore, I figured, I would give them another try. This is over three weeks later and I still don't have my items. I ordered bathing suits for vacation that I didn't have. I received a confirmation order by email. I called about the order and the representative told me my card needed to be approved by the bank. What!?! It didn't make any sence at all. Especially since I used my credit card not bank card. I called again to see what was going on. This time they said it was declined. Impossible since my credit card was paid off. I called my credit card. They never ran the order. Today I cancelled the order. A few minutes later my credit card company's fraud department called. They tried to run the order through! They didn't care that I cancelled the order. Didn't try to rectify. I asked for the supervisor and she talked through the customer service woman. So frustrated! Terrible service! I will NEVER order from them again! They don't care about customers. And now that I read their reviews on cheap materials I'm happy i didn't receive the order! Everything happens for a reason
I received a catalog in the mail one day and my husband saw a dress he really liked for me. I'm a researcher when it comes to ordering from new sites, so I went online to look up Venus.com. I was disconcerted when I saw all of the negative reviews online--so much so I went searching for a similar dress elsewhere. I couldn't find anything, though, so, despite my hesitation, I decided to give it a try. On a Friday night, I ordered three items so I could get the free shipping. Some of the reviews suggested the sizes were off and returns were difficult, so I made sure to look at the sizing chart before selecting my sizes. I was nervous upon hitting that submit button. Within the hour I received the confirmation email that they received my order. The next day, to my utter surprise and delight, I received an email saying my order was ready to ship and would be sent out Monday. Sure enough, Monday night when I checked the tracking link, the order had been picked up by UPS Surepost with a Friday delivery eta. On Friday, I checked my mailbox and there it was. I was excited and nervous at the same time, certain something wouldn't fit right. I tried on all three items and they all fit perfectly... Just as the sizing chart said they would. I couldn't be happier with my order. I will definitely be buying from them again. I don't expect every order to be perfect, but the first one was and now Venus has a new loyal customer. My advice to any skeptics: CHECK THE SIZING CHART, that's what they are there for. Don't assume you know your size. Every company's sizing is different.
I ordered 3 dresses from Venus, and I understand that I will pay duty and taxes when ordering from the USA, but when Venus shipped me the wrong dress, I thought no problem, I'm sure the will just credit me the difference of the cheaper dress I received and I will just keep it and give it away, but no, they want me to return the dress to credit me the difference! I would cost me more to ship it back and pay taxes and duty again for the right dress! They even had the odasity to say they would not charge me for the right dress! Duh, I already paid for that dress! So, I'll just eat the cost difference and keep the dress.

I ordered the lace jumpsuit last week and received it last night. I was so excited because I've had my eye on that jumpsuit for months now. When I opened it up, I was so disappointed. The material was so thin, that there were actually strings of it unraveling at the end of the hem. When I tried to unzip the jumpsuit, it felt like I was going to rip the zipper right out of the thing! So I was very gentle, but the zipper itself felt cheap because it didn't unzip smoothly... lots of "stop/starts". I put it on and the fit was horrible. I'd expected it to be long, because the inseam measurement was in the online description, but I didn't expect the crotch to be so low. It also has these huge pockets that are NOT VISIBLE in the picture online. They stick out, throwing off the entire look. It looks like a clown suit. I'm a pretty reasonable person, and even considered just taking it to the tailor to remove the pockets and hem them up a bit. But when I spend over $50 on a jumpsuit or dress, I expect the quality to be average, not poor. I'm sending this back. I'm sure Venus has some nice items, but I'm not willing to give them another shot because their prices are not good enough for a second chance. Maybe if they took the $$ they spend on sending me a catalog every week and spent it on better material, they wouldn't have so many negative reviews.
I received my order today. Great clothes, for perfect! Buttttt... I had to pay $80 to customs for my $170 order. I would not have ordered had I known I would be dinged at customs. So sad :(
I placed two orders on Saturday at 9pm. I called to cancel one of the two orders the next morning Sunday at 9am. They say it was to late for them to cancel it.

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
