I found some shoes that I really needed to have. Dressvenue was the only site that had them available for immediate shipping. I did get my shoes in time which was very important.
So until now I loved Venus. Good quality clothes. I placed an order first thing in the morning.(8am) after reading that they can process same day orders if placed before 1pm on business days. So i placed my order and paid $15 extra to get the items next day on my $140 order. No big deal. I check online to see any updates hours later and nothing. I then reach out to online chat and the girl was so rude. She wouldn't answer any of my questions directly about my order so it was canceled. I called customer service to see the misunderstanding because I am aware that COVID has caused delays in many areas. When I spoke with another woman to see if she could reverse the order and have it placed but accommodate me with the extra money i paid on shipping that won't come in time. She said no. All they can do is re charge my card and hope in 5 days i get my money back from the other order. I will not order from here again. IN THE FUTURE PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR ONLINE SHOPPERS OF DELAYS
I placed an order for a Christmas present for my mom back on December 5,2016. The order wasn't backordered or anything and shipped within a day. I didn't receive my package by the expected arrival day so I called and inquired about the status. I was told they'd track my package and give me a call once they had further information and could potentially reorder the shirt I'd ordered if they couldn't find the package.
Today I followed up after not hearing back and found out my order has been cancelled and refunded a few days before Christmas because they couldn't find the package and sold out of the top since my previous call. No one called to notify me and now I'm left scrambling for a Christmas gift at the last minute, with not enough to place another online order. The malls are picked over in terms of sizing and I don't know what I'm going to do. They didn't offer any potential alternatives or solutions. I feel they should've reserved a backup when I initially called rather than selling out while they traced the shirt that I'd already paid for. I am extremely dissatisfied with Venus and would not trust them with future Christmas orders.
After a month of waiting for my order I contacted customer service. I was told 2 of my items were out of stock entirely and would I like the other item sent still or refund all the items. I of course wanted everything refunded because A. It was a month after me being charged and not receiving my items and B. You didn't have my items in stock and still charged me AND didn't even notify me of the items being out of stock. I have consistently had to contact them asking to issue my refund dating back to February 19th. I was told it was issued yet does not show in my bank account 2 weeks later. WILL NEVER PURCHASE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND
I placed an order last summer, not only did the order arrive 6 days later than promised but 3 of the items were not even close to what I ordered. I do understand that people make mistakes but "three" mistakes in one order! I called customer service and got a very rude and unprofessional representative that told me that "I" must've ordered the wrong items! And said that she'd send out the other items and I can ship the unwanted items back. The next order I received had a big yellow stain on the white shirt, very noticeable, I couldn't even believe it. It almost seemed as though they were sabotaging my orders on purpose. I then called customer service again and asked for a manager, I explained my very dissatisfied experience with the customer service as well as the wrong and stained clothes. She then sent me a $25.00 gift card for my troubles. So I figured I'd give Venus one more try and use up the credit they gave me. The ( Z*******) Chiffon dress looks nothing like the picture in the catalog and had black glitter like stuff all over the white dress. I figured it may have been from shipping, tried the dress on to see what it looks like on and there's black stuff all over like it just rained black glitter all over me, in my eyes, all over! I really don't understand how they could send something like that out. It was like a kindergarten art project. Now I have to send it back and pay $6.95 to return the garbage... Never again!
I am 5'2 and weight fluctuates from 125-135. Would a M in a fitted dress be too big or should I stay with a S? In tights, should I get an XS or just a S?
I ordered a few items from this website, I made an error in my order and didn't realize it until after I paid the duty/taxes. Contacted Venus and asked if there would be issues with an order made in mistake. I was told not a problem, any items can be returned for refund or exchange with pre-paid return label. WOW, great. So I received my items and went to return the item that I made the error with - but no return label. They do not provide return labels to Canadians. It doesn't specify that on their website. It indicates that return labels are provide. It doesn't say to US only and doesn't include Canada. It clearly states "Each order also includes an easy to use return label for your convenience. There is a charge of $6.95 for the use of this label, which will be deducted from any credit due on your return or, in the event of an exchange, we will charge your credit card $6.95 for the label. The instructions for the use of this label are found on the back of the label. You may return the package via UPS or USPS; there is no need to go to the post office or UPS store. You may give the package to your postman or UPS driver or you may drop it in a UPS drop box or USPS mailbox. Peel off and place the pre-paid return label on the package. If you are using the original shipping bag or box, be sure to place the return label over your name and address on the package and to obliterate any other addresses and barcodes on the outside of the package"

I ordered 22 dresses!(---351.98 $ ---) I have not received the items i payed and I send e-mail for thay but thay did not reply back! Do not order from dressvenus.com its a scam!
So I ordered a whole bunch of stuff. About $250.00 worth. Then after I placed the order I read some of the reviews. I was so nervous after reading the negative reviews. I have to say- I returned a large portion of the clothing I ordered- I kept two shirts and the bathing suit I ordered. The dresses didn't fit and a few shirts were not what I expected- but I sent them back and received my refund immediately. I do think that what I was charged for shipping was ridiculous- I definitely agree with that. 6.95 to use their label plus 7.95 for shipping- I would have shipped it myself and spent less! But - the bathing suit- was amazing. I have a difficult time finding swim suits because I am a size 2 with a natural 34DDD top- So unfortunately it is very difficult for me to find swim wear and I have to pay an arm and a leg and the top is still usually not big enough. Can't even buy at Victoria's Secret! The suit I ordered from Venus fit better than any swim suit I have owned in 10 years. I couldn't be more thrilled with that! I did keep two shirts like I said- and I love them. So I guess it is hit or miss... Depends on what you order- and ship your returns yourself!
I ordered Venus enhancer push up swim top in a size 34 D. It came so big that I had to tighten all the way, also it was no enhancer. Venus took all THE SIDE PUSH-UP PADS OUT OF D's and bigger... So I tried ordering a size 32 DD thinking it may help, nope still looked terrible. Its sad because I use to get swim tops from them and they looked great. Hey Venus 32DD and 34D are not big, put back in the Enhancer pushup help!

Clothes run extremely big, the quality of a coat was terrible, worn twice and unraveling. Returned a pair of pants that were too big and was charged a fortune to return it.

I stumbled onto this Venus website by accident surfing the internet. They have fabulous pieces. So, since I purchased a lot of their items I decided to apply for their card. Well, when you get the card, it reads as followed... please call before use to confirm receipt of your card. I never called to confirm receipt of card, I just decided to use my own credit card to make purchases. So then the first time I decide to use the card I made a purchase of 74.00. When I register online to make my payment it gives me a balance of 322.00! WTF... I immediately call the chat line and ask the rep to explain to me why I have a balance of said amount if I have been making purchases with my own credit card. See gives me some lame excuse about she couldn't see certain purchase but ask me about... well, did these items ship to my address on and I told her yes, but what does that have to do with you explaining to me about my bill. So now I have to pay a 322.00 balance for purchase that I thought were being made on my own personal credit card. I explained to the rep that they will no longer receive any of my business and I will be informing others about their shady business. So pissed!

I got my order, No damaged shipping bag. My Item was very dirty. I contact with costumer care they are told me will be no problem with return and money back even this Item final sale. I sent back__NO MONEY BACK AND CHARGE me fees for shipping

If you're ordering from Canada heads up they will send you an email after you order to pay the duties and taxes which tend to be high so ballpark an additional 30-50 bucks for the products to go through customs based on a 100-150$ order. My advice would be to buy when things are on sale to curb the cost difference (not to mention it's in US dollars so you're taking another hit there. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. Otherwise ivhave been ordering from them for almost 10 years (tops, dresses, baithing suits) I've never ordered the pants or shoes becuase those are way less easy to gauge sizing on. As a rule of thumb I just don't order those things online. I love the styles for the most part they fit great. The only downside I have is a lot if the tops I find are built for women with long torsos. So a lot of my tops I get from there end up being tunics but that's ok. Now that I know that I usually order them with that in mind knowing I can pair it up with a cute legging and heels. Im 5'5 I have a 3 8D bust a 30 inch waist and a 38 inch hip so I'm an average hourglass shape and I order a size large. But I also read the reviews on each product page to see if it runs small and what other people think about it. Sometimes there's customer photos so it helps. Overall I like the shop. I don't really buy clothing from anywhere else is say 75% of my wardrobe us from here. Kinda hoping the exchange rate adjusts a little so I can buy more stuff becuase right now it's just too damned expensive with the exchange rates :(

I have been buying from Venus on and off over the last three years. I always buy Sale items because their regular prices are too high (in my opinion). They are not upscale fashion clothes.
I have gotten *some* nice clothes, but have had to return way too many. The biggest problem has been that most items do not look as good in person as they do on the website. This is 'the straw that broke the camels back':
A couple months ago, Venus had a huge sale, where they gave discounts on already reduced prices, so I went on a shopping spree. Big mistake. I ended up returning 14 of 15 items! The reason: because they were not as nice looking in person as they were in the photos, and most of the sizes were way off (too big). One item they sent was a replacement for the one I ordered, but it wasn't at all what I ordered. I called them and was told that the item I wanted was not available, so the shipper just picked something else out to replace it, which is ridiculous... it wasn't anything like the item I ordered. They should have just left it out and gave me a credit for it, but no, they sent me a real ugly item in place of the one they did not have. AND NOW TOP IT OFF WITH THIS: THEY CHARGED ME A RESTOCK FEE FOR EACH RETURNED ITEM, even though the problem was on their end (wrong description, poor quality, poor fit, etc.). I ended up losing too much money to ever want to shop their again, which is their loss. I don't believe it is fair to charge a customer a restock fee on every single item... maybe one fee for all items in an order, but not a fee for each item. That kind of business is going to hurt them in the long run. They lost me as a customer, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
UPDATE: Venus responded to this review asking me to contact them. I contacted them when I found out my refund would take a month or longer and they didn't offer any help at all, but said that it was "their policy" and I would have to wait. So no, I will not be contacting them or having anything more to do with them.

To return stuff you pay to ship it back ummm OK and get hit with fees also I purchased a top and it has gaping holes in it... not wearable at all... and I am unable to upload picture

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
