Everything I buy from this fregin store is ten times bigger then the size listed when you ask for a large you should expect a large not a shirt where the sleeves reach the floor now I gotta spend all this time returning everything WHAT A WASTE NEVER AGAIN!

Bright bathing suits and trendy designs lured me into purchasing a few suits for the summer. They were a little pricey but I took the gamble. When they finally came in, the ups product receipt listed everything correctly however THE MOST EXPENSIVE PIECE WAS MISSING. The most pricey bikini top was not shipped. I tried to get ahold of customer service but that led me to nowhere. I just cut my losses- $34.99 out of a $117 bill. Some of the suits were cute and at least bright and of good enough quality to wear in the water. However, the style and fit of things were really off/weird from the models. The bottoms especially feel cheap. Not the material persay but the elastic. I tried three styles of bottoms and only one didn't look entirely like granny panties. I would say maybe the missing top was just a fluke but even so it's too expensive and not worth the quality you get. It's too bad because I really like alot of the styles in the magazines and online. Unfortunately you are not getting what you want or pay for.
Venus has great styles, quality, and best of all it fits perfect. I just bought few clothing from Venus.com and I really love the quality and how great it fits. Just my size. I love it.
These clothes only look good on the models in the catalog. The clothes are funky shaped and fit weird. Too long in the arms. Too wide in the waist. Cheap quality for sure.

I have a lot of (upper body) clothes from Venus. This includes all season attire. I however at the height of 5 foot 2 inches cannot buy ANY of their pants, leggings, jumpsuits or even capris. I can wear SOME of their maxi dresses and skirts, but with heels. I swear it's as though the people who make these clothes assume all women are at least 5 foot 6 or taller. I do however absolutely love a lot of their shirts (definitely not all though), sweaters, cardigans and their boots. Boots however are a little too pricey so I have yet to buy any. The heels on the models always look amazing so I have bought a couple pairs. However, each pair that I have bought have unreasonably long heels that don't depict that in the pictures so I stopped buying the heels. Other shoes (not heels) I have bought are nice.
Additionally, SOME of their clothing is cheaply made while others have nice quality. It's a gamble to be honest.
I just recommend that they make sizes for shorter women too and I would buy a lot more of their stuff because the lower extremity clothing just does not fit me.

This upsets me. Reading into their FAQs, it states that orders placed with 1-day or two-day shipping by 5pm EST will ship the same day. According to their customer service, they are sorry for the inconvenience but that all orders ship on next business day. So of course the information on their website is wrong. Also, I should be able to change my order but I cannot. It has not shipped yet, but since the label printed (according to customer service) no changes can be made. I understand that might be the case but they explicitly lied on their website. I placed my order around 12pm EST on A Friday, needing it for the following Wednesday. I chose 2 day air shipping. Had they been honest on their website, I would have chosen Next day air (difference was less than $10) and it would definitely be here on time. Now I am told it will be here on Wednesday because it will ship Monday. I need it for Wednesday and if it comes by lunch I might be okay but usually mail doesn't come that early here and usually UPS or other express delivery comes in the evening.

SOME OF THE MORE POPULAR ITEMS THEY ADVERTISE (via Facebook, their HomePage, etc.) ARE ON PERPETUAL BACKORDER. You will wait months with no valid explanation for the delay and NEVER receive your item. Apparently, these items are intentional lures to get you to their website. I've never been more dissatisfied with an online retailer, and I've dealt with many.
HORRIBLE COMPANY, THEY DON'T CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS OR THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. Great service! But beware! Terrible, very low quality clothing! I spent over 500 and unfortunately returned everything. Paper thin. Disappointed, can not find the styles in department stores.
Refunds take over 3 weeks. Promises go unfulfilled.

I purchased several items, most of which were okay, although their underwire swim tops are horrendous and I can never get one that fits (36DDD) and doesn't make me look ever bigger. However, I did order a Leopard Cold Shoulder Top, Item #V2882-10-UMB in a size M, which was a final sale item/no return or exchange. They sent me an at least size XL Leopard Cold Shoulder Top with the tag torn out and now I'm stuck with it. This is the last time I will order from Venus. Buyer Beware, their Quality Control stinks.

The Venus clothing line has the poorest quality clothes out of any retailer I've ever purchased from. You could find better quality clothes at a dollar store... or a garage sale! Most dresses cost between $29 and $79, which is outrageous considering that the material is so thin and not at all true to the pictures they show in the catalogs. All the models are beanpoles with boob jobs and major photo shopping! I'd like to know what Venus clothes would look like on a REAL woman please.
Of the 10 or so dresses that I've bought from Venus, only two of them were acceptable to wear in public. The other dresses are so scandalously short and cleavage baring that I wouldn't dare step outside in them! But if you actually like a dress you ordered from Venus, you're still going to lose. The dresses do not last and do not wash well. Even dresses that say "machine wash cold" on the tags look like wrinkled, torn up rags after one wash!
As other customers have stated, the return policy is appalling. Read it carefully before you purchase anything. The one thing I can say positive about Venus is that their swim wear is decent quality. But it's also very expensive. So it should be good quality! This company is a rip off.
Let me begin by saying that I placed an order for 3 dresses before Valentines Day. Because I have ordered from them before, I was expecting it within about 2 weeks. After that period of time and still having not received it, I did an online chat with a rep who told me that my order was processed on the 22nd and will still take about 21 days to get it. WHAT?
Today is the 14th of March and I received an email from Venus stating that my order that I apparently sent back is going to be refunded! WHAT?
I did NOT return it because I never GOT it!
I called and spoke to a supervisor who said that they were sorry and could send it out again!
Nothing more than just "sorry", oopsy our bad! Our company doesn't care about our customers, that's their problem! We just want to sell!

Buyer beware of this company. If you so chose to purchase, give yourself a few months to receive, or not receive it and if there are problems, don't expect to get any help!
Best advice is to buy from someone that cares about their customers and tries to fix their mistakes instead of making excuses that don't make sense!

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
