I purchased two dresses, but I had to return one of them because it didn't fit. They don't tell you before you purchase but there's a return fee. They took $12 from me to return this dress.

DON'T SHOP FROM THIS SITE, I ORDERED 2 BAGS AND A JACKET AND I RECEIVED ONLY ONE BAG, THE REST OF THE ORDER THEY SAID IT'S OUT OF STOCK... I PICKED SOMETHING ELSE AND AFTER 1 MONTH THEY SAID IT'S AGAIN OUT OF STOCK, THIS IS HAPPENING AROUND 2-3 MONTHS... AFTER THAT THEY SAID THEY WILL MAKE REFUND AND THEY DID IT, BUT NOT ALL OF MY MONEY, DON'T ORDER FROM THIS SITE NEVER!

I am a Canadian Customer ordering from Vancouver, British Columbia.

I made an order to Venus for my entire wardrobe in my upcoming vacation to the south, selecting the delivery option of 3 to 5 business days. The only potential delay is that the order will be subject to credit card authorization - completely normal and expected. My credit card was charged successfully, and I had pre-paid for the customs and duties on October 26th. Per Venus's site, my order should then be on its way and arrive in 3 to 5 business days.

It is now 6 business days later and I reached out to Venus's support. I am only now told the order will not be arriving until well after I have left to go on the vacation. The items will be arriving 10 business days later to be precise. Apparently, the business days only start counting after the items get into Canada. Where does it say that? Nowhere. Not even in the fine-print.

Another thing to note - there is no currency listed anywhere on the site. All amounts are in USD.

I'm asking for a full refund, but they will not be doing that until the items are returned after I receive the package and mark it as "return to sender". I will not be in the country to receive the package. How am I going to get my refund?

Canadian customers be warned - the shipping is much longer than you are expecting, and the amounts are in USD.

I ordered 2 dresses, a romper and a pair of sandals. All of the clothing was made of a very thin material and everything is see through! The clothing I ordered was damaged (the seams were coming undone and the clothing was not wearable) so I contacted Venus through their chat and was promised an exchange or refund at no cost to me. I received no follow up, no email, no snail mail letter let alone new garment or a refund! I contacted the company through their chat again and was promised at least an email by the next day. 3 days later, nothing! Sent an email ( i wanted my correspondence documented) and only received the automated email saying I'd get a response in 24 hours. NOPE! Nothing.

Finally called customer service and was told that I had to ship all the damaged garments back, at my own expense, where they would review the garments and if they felt the garments were damaged, they would issue a refund. The woman on the phone was rude and couldn't keep her story straight. Why do I have to pay for additional shipping when they sent damaged garments? I read other reviews that said people had all kinds of things deducted from their returns to the point where a $30 credit ended up actually being $2. I opted to fix the items myself instead of wasting any more of my life with such terrible customer service! Beware!

Their sizing inconsistent (even with the same jeans - but in differnt colors).
I went through 2 different exchanges with 1 pair of jeans - only to accept that their size 3 is really a size 1 and any size bigger is actually 2 sizes bigger. Plus, some of their stuff is so cheap & flimsey.
The worst part is that I signed up for the credit card (they practically throw it at you at check out). Don't be fooled by this. They use the credit card to deny you any credits (or will delay your credits), then charge you late fees and interest fees - even if you have a credit balance on your card.
I've already filed a complaint with the FTC consumer credit dept for fraudulent charges by them. I ended up just paying their fraudulent charges, than risk lowering my credit score (if I didn't pay).
I will NEVER BUY from this horrible company ever again - BE FOREWARNED - THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF!

I was in desperate need of a costume for my DAUGHTER to go to her Sister's18th. Time was running out so I scoured the internet for somewhere that could offer Next Day Delivery. I came across DRESSVENUS and gave them a bell. They were great and gave me good advice. I ordered a Elegant Lapel Short Sleeves Chiffon Dress, and it arrived the following day by 1pm as promised. Absolutely no problems and I would definitely use them again next time I am in need of a costume.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I placed an order in November for some cauderoy pants by Christmas, it was almost new year's when I received my order I was not contacted to why I finally contacted the company and they shipped them to me the next week, then I placed an order 2 weeks ago it came but it was missing a pair of pants I called they sent the wrong pants AGAIN I expressed to Ceira the cr that I was heading out of town Friday so she did a great job getting them expedited. Once again I called and I spoke to someone who could care less about my items getting to me in a timely fashion I called today Friday at 10 a.m. she told me my item will be arriving on Tuesday they don't care if a mistake has been made twice IT should be an OVERNIGHT DELIVERY and a gift... but I am done shopping with this company because lack of communication and customer service

Be Very Sure!

I am afraid it is hit or miss with Venus either it is an awesome fit and proper design and just beautiful OR way off from the picture(which is what you are buying!)! And I say be sure because if you get an item that dose not fit because of their sizing or the pattern and color is completely different than on line your screwed! They have the most arbitrary return policy they seem to make ii up as they go along. I have bought MANY pieces from them and always cross my fingers on returns! I have one right now that a week later I am holding my breath on how they will handle it! I am hoping they JUST subtract the 6$ shipping fee and do not play games! I have sent back items in the past that I PAID THE SHIP FEES and instead of getting a full refund have had 12$ plus some other fee taken I called and was refunded just the 12! I have rarely sent stuff back and they supposedly have changed their return policies. They have so many beautiful clothes and I do love most of them, but they should just refund your money in full no questions asked! That is how you develop a customer base on line the customer buys a lot of your items and occsionally something is off or not right with an items and you give the a refund ie customer satisfaction and they will keep coming back!

I ordered a dress and it took multiple of tries for the website to even process the order. I tried their chatting service for help and after a customer representative came online I never recieved a response from her. After waiting for 30 min I finally gave up. Finally after multiple tries I managed to place my order. I received the shipping info a day later. Everything was going great. Then when it's a day from the supposed arrival date the item gets transfered from UPS to local postal service (according to sender instructions) No biggie. Then the day that it supposed to arrive the tracking info says the postal office cannot deliver item as addressed and asks me to call the sender. I do. I call this time. After one hour on hold I hung up. I called the next day, got a person this time. She tells me my item is not lost so we just have to wait for the postal office to return it to them and then they will ship it back to me. I am like what?! That's bull! And her attitute is so nonchalant about it to. No big deal. I asked if they will contact the post office to straighten this before it gets shipped back and forth and she's like "no because the item is not lost, we'll just wait. "
I plan on calling my postal office tomorrow and see if I can clear this with them. Regardless this is too much work to do for a lousy dress. Other companies have amazing customer service and there's no need to buy from such place. First and last time shopping here! I don't even care if the dress arrives and is gorgeous!

Update on "free shipping" chargeback

If anyone has been charged back for their "free shipping" - contact Venus and they should adjust it (Although I have been told I'd get it back, I haven't seen it yet). Know that nowhere in their return process do they disclose that you'll be charged back for free shipping on a return, and it's not printed on the return policy. In fact, the ONLY place you can find this is if you're on a DESKTOP and click on the $75 free shipping for details. This does NOT work on a mobile device. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and FTC for online shopping fraud/issues.

I ordered 3 shirts, and had to return 2. I chose the same size in all, one was huge, one was made for a 2nd grader, and one fit. Upon return, I was charged the $6.95 for using the prepaid label, no problem. However, they also charged me $4.95 as a backcharge for the "free" shipping when the items were sent to me. I have scoured my original order as well as the return label policy and this charge is not disclosed anywhere. A credit on future orders is not acceptable as I won't be ordering again. I will dispute this with my credit card company due to lack of disclosure on the part of Venus. Shady practices are unacceptable.
