I'm a first time buyer and I got my items in 5 days. I loved them, they were well made :) I'm very happy with Venus and I made another order 5 tops for 150 dollars. Great prices and really cute sutff!
Love the design, selection and fit! Wish I knew about Venus clothing sooner. The sizing is mostly true to size. The only feedback I have is I wish the description of the item clearly stated the % of stretch. Ie 5% spandex. This information really helps to determine sizing. Reviews also help. Wish there was more online reviews available.
I have REPEATEDLY tried to 'unsubscribe' to their email list, even though I never subscribed in the first place! I wrote to them via their 'contact' link numerous times. Each time I got a lame excuse that their system wasn't working properly. I have been assured that my preferences were updated, not sure why they even had any of my 'preferences'. And yet, I still get bombarded with their emails, over and over and over. Absolutely frustrating and absolutely bordering harassing. Flag it you suggest? I DID. Each and every email and yet somehow, they still get through. I will never deal with a company that is seemingly so loose and free and has total disregard for a person's privacy, especially when requested many, many times to be removed from their list! I'm RUNNING far away and I will NEVER order from them!
I have ordered from Venus a few times & I am completely satisfied with their article of clothing (jacket, coat, cardigan sweater, shirts, pants & sleep wear) everything fits me quite well & I have gotten plenty of compliments wearing them!
The purchased shirt I got was not the size I ordered, I sent it back. It took 14 days- and many emails - before Venus send an acknowledgement of receipt. The prise of the shirt was 14.99, the total amount 24.66. Venus refunded me with the amount of 9.16, which is a different of 15.50, more than the value of the shirt. Fact is: I payed the shirt twice! This is in my mind criminal.
I ordered bunch of items for my honeymoon. Knew it would take awhile with summer approaching and had a couple items on back order. After three weeks of waiting and no email( after the one stating they were processing and ready to ship) I called Venus. Elisa said she needed to verify my card information and I should have called sooner. They claimed they left me a message which they never did... I have my honeymoon approaching soon and I asked for her to expedite the shipment due to the inconvenience. She refused! - so I cancelled. Out of principle, I wasn't going to pay extra shipping over their poor communication skills! Elisa refused to pay for the shipment so I can have my bathing suits for my honeymoon. Super super disappointed in Venus(Elisa's)customer service Will never order again!
I will start with saying the clothes are really nice, however, there seems to be a HUGE lack of communication between Venus customer service and the customer. The site says, all orders placed before 5:00pm will ship same day pending authorization. This is a lie and needs to be removed from their site. Also, NEVER pay for overnight or 2nd day shipping. This is a waste of your time and money. If an item on your order is out of stock (which happens a lot) your order will not ship NOR will anyone call or email you to let you know. Very POOR Communication. Most representatives are nice but beware they will ONLY tell you what you want to hear. So I would strongly suggest do NOT even bother with them. It's sad but true. I've tried for almost a year now and it's the same thing I've even recorded conversation to prove they lie but nothing changes.
I do not usually shop online unless is trust the company and for some reason I did with this Venus as I saw they had cute dresses for vacation. To make long story short, I ordered two dresses first and second time just two tops and they were OK I noticed that material is not as stated on their website but I let it go. Third time, HORRIBLE the dresses werenade of the cheap if not the cheapest materials, the labelling coming off, ripped on sides and the sandals were not even close as stated. I'm returning it all as in my opinion this is a huge scam they copy and make it or whatever they do but I must say it's expensive to pay even 10 $ for a top made of such a cheap material. NOPE. Trust me people Save yourselves headache and do not order anything! I took pic and I can post which I will even on fb and insta. This isn't fair!
I used to love Venus clothing but no longer. I ordered 3 tops and 2 of them were ripped in the back. I returned all 3 because I didn't like the quality of the tops. Very poor quality and very disappointed. I mailed them back on 1/15 and I just called and they said that they didn't receive them yet. They better receive them soon and I better get the WHOLE refund back being $ 102.99. I will never buy from Venus again. Make clothing in the USA not China - super cheap and very disappointed - like I said i used to love Venus clothing. Unless they go back to being quality clothing and not from China I will never buy from Venus again.

I had a Venus credit card for years. I used to purchase clothes from Venus, but stopped doing so due to the quality of clothes has been so poor. When they closed my account (I did not have a balance due when closed) they said the reason was for my current lack of credit! Because I wouldn't purchase thieve cheap clothes they cancelled the card which made my credit score go down!

The pieces I keep are a slam dunk. If you have an hourglass figure these styles will compliment you. I'm picky about the way things feel and the materials feel nice and are practical (e.g. I don't do well with linen or polyester that doesn't breathe). Reasonable pricing, I did have to return a few things, no problems with reimbursements.
I came to your website to place an order after receiving your catalogue... give me a reason to oder when your customers have given you some of the worst reviews I have ever read... can all of these customers be wrong?

The problem is they offer free shipping over 100 dollars and if you need to return an item or the entire shipment if sizing is wrong or whatever they charge you for shipping so if you don't keep anything you still have to pay for shipping it back. Which is around 15 to 20 dollars. Not good business sense. You guys need to fix this. I just cancelled my backorder because of this.
Never received my order. First time I tracked the order it indicated delivered, but I never received it. Next time I checked it said my item was returned to sender. Looks like I'll never get my money back and/or I'll never get the dress I ordered... Learned my lesson.

Ordered a swimsuit w/ a skirted bottom and bikini top. The fabric was cheap and flimsy and a bit see-through, and hardware was clunky. The top was lightly lined... looked cheap. Wont shop there again. Junky, walmart-ish.

Cheap clothing magazine and websites makes the clothes look awesome and they are the cheapest clothing I have ever seen I will never wear anything I ordered. The prices are cheap because the clothes are all an embarrassment.
I still mostly stand by my original review but I have learned something about the product reviews that I feel is important to pass on. Just because you order a product doesn't mean you get to review it. I wanted to leave reviews on the items I received and was told by customer service that I would receive an email with information on how to review ONLY IF I was selected. Yes, they apparently select who can leave reviews. Probably the reason that so many of their products have mostly positive reviews. I wanted to leave information that would be helpful to other buyers like my height, weight and how they fit based on the size I purchased to better help others choose a size. Unfortunately, I haven't been "CHOSEN" for any of the items I have purchased over the last year. It's unfortunate because I'm sure others have great information to give but aren't allowed to.

I ordered a dress for an upcoming wedding and ordered 2 different sizes, XL & 1X because I didn't know which would fit better. My measurements are bust 42, waist 38 & hips 43. The 1X was WAY too big and though the XL fit I wanted to try a Large. I was able to call customer service and the representative sent out the Large with free shipping and my account will be credited once I send back the dresses I chose not to keep. The customer service was excellent and I found the dresses to be of quality. The bottom of the dress was different than shown on their website but that's nothing I can't work with. I wanted to leave a review but I could not locate a tab to do so even though there were reviews for the product listed. I sent an email to the appropriate department but I haven't heard back from them. They have a 90 day return policy and though I haven't sent the dresses back in order to see how they handle the credit I have to say that so far overall I had a very good experience. I do have friends who have ordered swimsuits and sun dresses and have been just a happy with their experience therefore leading me to order.
I ordered from this website and absolutely loooove their clothes! I was a little bit skeptical after reading the reviews & decided to give them a try anyways. I'm glad that I did. I recommend this site to anyone and will be ordering from them again.
I dont understand the bad reviews. I have been ordering from Venus for a while, somethings Ive had to return, only because it didnt look good on me. They always give a return label, that is such a plus. I have had no problems with shipping or returns. I think the clothes are very cute and the prices are good. Many years ago I ordered from them and I think most of the clothes are better now.

I ordered overpriced bathing suits, and they came cheaply made, the tops were to big and the bottoms were to small. Also, the suits were so cheaply made and material sucked. Sending everything back today.
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
