I agree with some reviewers that the clothes are not worth the cost... but its not that bad. I typically wait until things go on sale to buy now. I'm happy with a lot of the items that I have bought there. I have not tried to return anything and see that is where a lot of people are giving 1 star for the customer service. Its not like I will recommend this site but I will say a lot of people are more mad about the customer service than the clothes.
I placed the order for my dress from dressvenus on 2/6/14, a week and a day before the 2/14/14 Valentines Day. After selecting the ship to location, the order form took me to a screen that said "Delivery date" and asked me to select a delivery date. The site even reminded me that 2/14 was Valentines. I selected 2/14 and paid the $4.99 extra shipping fee for that day. I am to report that the dress did i arrived just as i had expected.
I took advantage of the spend $100 get free shipping because the clothes looked super cute in the catalog. When I got them, I wished I hadn't wasted my time or money. Material was cheap and looked nothing like the picture. I sent the items back and was hit with a ridiculous shipping charge of over $20. I throw out the catalogs without looking bc it was such a disappointment. I'll never order from them again.
The reviewers with good comments on dressvenus seem fraudulent, most of them write really poor English and the way they represent cost in dollars give them away as not American even when they use American names. It is a shame that an Asian company would be out there diff raiding people from all over the world. My friend who lives in Korea checked out dressvenus and said they operate out of Hongkong, they could easily do legitimate business and make lots of money from many real people. What a BIG SHAME!
I made an order on Dec 7th and never received it. I have called Venus, done the online chat, emailed them and faxed them over this situation. I was guaranteed delivery many times by many different employees and here it is Dec. 27th and I still have no package. It does NO good to try and talk to these people, they have my money and I just keep getting the run around. Oh Venus its order number *******! Worst Customer Service Ever!
I have tried many online shopping sites and this is the only one that delivers as advertised. So far I have ordered about 10 times from this site and never had a problem. I am tall, so I have to admit that I have only ordered shirts and sweatshirts/sweaters and have stayed away from pants. I prefer to try on pants due to my height. I ordered a $75 swimsuit a month ago, still have not received it and if you go to the website it just says 'Shipped' that was a month ago!? So for the first time ever I guess the mail lost my package... this happened before when I ordered from them never received the item! Venus sucks! Go to your local bathing suit store if you're trying to get a suit this way you know you will get it and you know it will fit!

The damage happen after wearing the bathing suit the underwear came thru and I cut me. I came home from vacation and forgot about it. You can tell it was not worn. Contacted them and they said send it to them and they will contact me. They send it back to me saying they could not do anything for me. $ 100.00 wasted. I was a good customer will never purchase from them again

I recently ordered 7 items from Venus. I got 6 in the mail, as one sweater was on back order. One item I received I had never even ordered, and one item I ordered was missing. There was supposed to be a return label in the box, which there was not. I had to pay $13.00 to ship my returns back. I am cancelling my sweater that is on back order. I wont order again.

I returned my whole order of 200$ plus dollars in 1 return! I was charged 3 shipping fees to return the skimpy, cheap clothes. I was told because I received the items for free shipping I had to be charged the shipping which totaled 12.95+6.95+4.95= 25.00 total that I paid for absolutely nothing. A horrible way to do business, I would highly recommend not ordering from this company, a total rip off! Totally disappointed!
As a first time shopper with Venus, I wasn't familiar with the sizes. I ordered a top in my usual size but it was too small. I loved the top but had to return and reorder. Unfortunately, I was hit with a $6.95 shipping charge! This will prevent me from ordering from them again. I would have rated lower but the top was beautiful and good quality.

I ordered a beautiful dress for myself for an upcoming wedding and the shipping and handling was excellent! The staff is excellent and they have great customer support! I was very pleased when the dress came because it was CUSTOM made and the quality was amazing. People asked be during the wedding where i got my dress! Dressvenus is the best!
I ordered a very nice top for a trip to Europe. When it arrived It had a smell to it, but I would have washed it anyway. I hand washed it in cold water and hung to dry. It shrunk like 2 sizes.
When I called them they said they would replace it, but they would not replace with a larger size, so that if it shrunk there would not be a problem. So basically I ate 39.00 and shipping. Last time I order from them.
Doesn't make any sense to me.

I've ordered 3 dresses from this store and two of them not the same style as on the picture and the material are so cheap quality. Only one fit perfectly, but the material totally different than in the picture, if it looks soft and silky than in real it is hard and nylon, plastic like, if it looks hard on the picture than it is soft like t-shirt material. The clothes that I can get in discount stores are better quality and cheaper. So don't buy anything unless you want to waste your money. I am so dissapointed.

I love ordering from Venus. I have ordered many things. I have to say though, the quality is not the same. Bought a dress last month and by the 2nd wear the lining is all ripped. I also got a brand new dress with a whole in it...? I never had problems in the past. I hope that they get better quality back.
My Aunt Ordered some items in late September. She called and told them that the items never came and was told that they "would look into it." After several months they are now refusing to take the items off of her account and are trying to force her to pay all types of interest for clothes she never received. She is on a fixed income and happy to pay for what she has gotten but not the items she never got. The calls in October were recorded but they do not care and are saying it is too late to do anything but send her more clothes for the amount of what was never sent. She does not want them and they are all but terrorizing her about owing them for what she never got. She is has been sobbing to me for the past several days. I am so angry at this so called company that prides itself on 30 years of good service. Good con is more like it.

I ordered and received a Cable Knit Sweater. Within an hour of wearing it, it was stretched out of shape and had pilled down both sleeves and sides of the sweater. I contacted customer service and was told I could return it but could not get a refund. They only allow merchandise credit. Beware, the clothes look great in the catalog but the quality of the merchandise is very poor.
Buyer beware! The first order I placed with no issues so I decided to place another order. The second order had several items that I needed to return because they were made of cheap fabric or the sleeves were too tight. Venus charged me the $6.95 to return the items plus an additional $12.95 in shipping because I received free shipping on my original order and returning the items meant that I would have paid for the shipping on the items I kept, according to the CSR I spoke with. I live in Jacksonville. It is ridiculous to charge$20 in shipping for 2 items. I will stick to Victoria's Secret where I can return to the store for free!
I sent in an exchange, I paid $39 for a dress and was exchanging it for a $34 bikini top. I paid for my own shipping and got a tracking number from UPS. They deducted the $6.95 shipping label from my exchange anyway, and now refuse to refund the $5 difference. What in the world?! The quality of the clothes is also garbage, another reason for my return on the dress. I figured a bikini top would be so bad, wrong, the underwire came poking through. I'm not going to bother with the return hassle on that one. Do not purchase from them.
I've purchased from them for years but you have to be careful one outfit I purchased with was a Sweatshirt/Shorts washed it always on delicate and blue fabric shed all over my washing machine and the fabric was so then with all the stuff that shed off I couldn't wear it because you can see through it and of course they have the worse return service as you can see from all the reviews and also they sent me a discount on future purchase but I couldn't get free shipping on that order they don't double discount unlike all their competitors. The shipping is extremely slow at least 10 days. I spend a lot online so I always try Boston Proper much better quality great customer service as quick shipping. Macy's is the best deals better prices better quality and on their free shipping I've never had anything take more than 3 days to get here. I will still ocassionally order from Venus but it's less and less now

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
