When I recieved my first order the dresses they were way too baggy. I mailed them for a return (smaller size) that a) never came (even after calling customer service) b) no refund. Don't waste your time or money.

Several items, tops-( cold shoulder and sleeveless) have shrank to 2 sizes smaller and not even close to the same color- below photo was an aqua blue size L, it is now a faded out blue and barely a medium- This after 1 wash with instructions followed. Bathing suit bottoms are very thin and cheap. Way over priced for the quality received. I wish this wasn't the truth but unfortunately it is. I do like the jeans so far but the rest is for the most part junk. My order exceeded 360.00 I will not purchase anymore from Venus. Also to note, this shirt below says lascana made for Venus. Going to see if they're the same company. If so, that will be another disappointment as I just added a bunch of stuff to my cart from lascana. Buyer beware!
I ordered a pair of peep toe boots and they only lasted a few months. I was walking and the heel bent backwards. I can no longer wear them because the heel is broken but I loved the boots. Over all I love their clothes and shoes this was the first issue I ever had :(
Got addicted to the clothes on this site. If you are not purchasing for a specific deadline, you can get great prices- the sales rotate. The online inventory is extremely accurate. You can stalk sizes they're out of and returns will pop back into inventory. If you're paying attention, you can grab them. Dealt with customer service three times- no issues. They were able to help me twice. Once was me trying to add an item to an order placed several hours before- once printed they aren't allowed to edit after that point. Timely order received and shipping emails. From FL to NY, I receive in 7-10 days. Some fabric is thinner than expected. Cable knit sweaters are a nice quality. Boots are nice. Sizing seems a little big, but I order around it... if it's a fitted item, order a size down. Overall a great experience. Mistakes happen. Be polite to customer service and you will get the same in return.

I have never shopped at Venus before and was very impressed by their catalog and affordable pricing. I ordered a variety of clothes for our up coming vacations including dresses and bathing suits. I am so incredibly disappointed by the quality of the clothes. Very cheaply made. The entire box is going back to the store
Ive ordered from venus several times. Ive always received my order in 3-5 days. Everything fit perfectly. 4 yrs ag i ordered a bathing suit and the top was to small. No problem at all returning it and receiving another. The clothes ive bought are well made and exactly what the picture depicted. Some of you seem awfully bitter. Is it possible you ordered styles that just werent for your body type? In 19 years ive never had a bad experience.
As a first time buyer I purchased 3 clothing items from Venus. Sizes aren't accurate at all. I sent back items requesting a refund on 2 items and an exchange on the third for a larger size. It took 2 weeks to receive an email stating their apologies for not having my requested item in stock. A subsequent email stated they were processing my refund but I was responsible for the shipping, and they charged me $6.95. To add insult to injury, they deducted another $4.95 for a shipping adjustment because my charges no longer were in excess of $100. Worst policy ever which they bury in their fine print. So if you want to gamble $11.90 or more of your money for nothing (not even a credit towards a future purchase), you've been warned.

This will be my last time ordering from Venus. Both times I ordered I got the wrong things first then I have to redo everything again and Im paying for return. I ordered a swimsuit, dress and a bra and they today I received some xtra large pants. Entirely different things. Very very disappointed. Never again

They make returns complicated and expensive. They teamed up with some return company no one has ever heard of. The closest one is 70 miles from me. Then if you return by mail you have to pay to ship the item(s) back and pay a restock fee. You certainly don't experience this through Amazon, Target, Walmart, or Marshals online. This return is my last. I'm done with them. I will never order there again. Waste of time and finances. Also, the quality of their clothing has gone downhill. Everything is VERY cheaply made. It wasn't like that in the past. Each year it gets cheaper and cheaper.

I was very hesitate about buying a bathing suit on line, especially after reading some reviews. I am about 5'5 and average to petite build-my order fit me to a T. My order included 3 bathing suits and two cute dresses. Purchased everything in a size small. ( bikini tops 34B) The quality was decent and the product came exactly what was advertised. The only down side was the border fees which were about $30. Given all of my purchases were $20.00 or less, I didn't mind the additional fees.-I still got a good deal. If you are paying regular prices, it might not make sense to buy anything given the extra charges you will incur...

Checked "shipping time" based on their website which said expedite orders placed before 5pm would be shipped same day. Placed order Saturday, it's now Tuesday and order still hasn't shipped. Contacted through chat and asked for my order to leave today, lady said she cant guarantee it. Why does your website say that then? So I requested my next day air charges to be refunded which she did with no problem, which is great. I call to find out why I still don't have tracking only to be told that my shipping fee reimbursement "changed" my order which restarted the entire process. You have to be kidding me. Never ordering from this crap customer service place again.
I ordered a dress from venus.com as it looks so fantastic from their webiste, however I feel so disappointed upon received the dress for its poor fabric, wrinkles and very thin, this dress is made in China. I contacted the customer service asked how could I leave a review of the dress, they said: you need to wait 3 - 4 weeks for us to send you an email and reply back with your review. Wow... 3-4 weeks? No chance at all to write a review directly to their website. I am returning it, even they provided a free return label but I read the instructions that $6.95 will be deducted from the cost + shipping cost is also the responsibility of customer. Now I am hoping they will refund me the balance.
Always great quality. Sizing can be different, read the reviews before purchasing and make sure you look at the materials items are made of. If you do these things you will most likely enjoy your purchase. My only issue is the strick return policy & $6.95 return charge. When shopping online you can't try items on so there is always a chance you may have to return something. Some of my favorite companies offer free returns which allow for worry-free shopping.

First time ordering. Bought a bathing suit. Wasn't cheap. I will say that. Order came on time. The color fit and quality was what I would expect. No complaints. How ever after reading other reviews I wonder if I just got lucky. Down side. Constant e mails pop up adds from Venus non stop. Sending sale adds in the mail. They just bug you non stop.

I have sent items back, but only because they didn't go with something else, or because I didn't look good in it! I've never had anything badly made, and I love the prices. All my jeans come from Venus. 4 stars because keeping track of the Venus Wallet is difficult, and my figures are WAY off theirs. I found customer service this morning to be quite unpleasant. She clearly couldn't wait to get rid of me. Also, I never get an invite to review anything I've bought. I was told the invitation was random, and handled by a third party.

I ordered over $200 worth of stuff a loooong time ago. In fact, three weeks ago and it hasn't arrived. I called several times asking what was going on, and they said since I'm in Canada sometimes it takes a while to get through at the border. I've ordered online from so many different places and never has a package taken so long to arrive. Shipping was expensive, and as far as I'm concerned putting the package on a donkey would be faster than the shipping method they use. There isn't even a tracking number so I can see what's going on. I was told it could be another three weeks til my package arrives! That's outrageous. Unless the items are beyond stupendous I will never order from here again!
Venus has always down right by me. I only started ordering from their catalog last year. I tend to order about $1000 worth of clothes and swimsuits so I don't have to keep going back and forth on sizes and style. Conclusion? Their swimsuits are the winner here! The rest is hit and miss as a few of the items are of no better quality than Forever 21. That's why I order in bulk.
And considering their liberal 90 day return policy, in which I have never had an issue receiving a refund, you can be confident if you decide to order in bulk, too.
FYI, I am 5'4,138 lbs, give or take 5 lbs, and a DD on top. Size Small usually fits perfectly. I believe Venus takes into consideration many of their customers tend to be large up top.
I ordered several swimwear items before vacation. One of the bathing suit bottoms changed colors after being in a non chlorinated pool once and the top didn't change the same color. That was an $79 waste of money. I returned 1 coverup because it was hugely off size (maybe 4 sizes off). I returned another coverup because it looked like someone made it in "Sewing 101 in junior high" AND the fabric was poor quality and wrinkled really bad. The $6.95+4.95+... return fees sealed the deal for me on this company. I will unsubscribe to email list and any thoughts of ordering from the again.
Seriously are these guys for real. I purchase regularly online... usually through ASOS or Victoria Secret and never had any problems... They have sent my parcel twice and it still hasn't reach me... honestly I really need those items for my holiday argh!

I just dont get it. I love this site. I love the maxi dresses. Im tall and a size 9. Sometimes anyway idk it changes lol. But a medium fits perfectly all the time. The clothing actually is made really good idk what the other girl is talking about below me. Every order comes within the time frame given. I have ordered from them id say going on 4 years and NEVER had a issue. Well actually one dress fit me weirdly I sent it back and the exchange item was at my mailbox in no time. Idk. I say you can trust this site. I live in ny. So idk if that makes any difference
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
