UPS Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of UPS is marred by significant concerns regarding service reliability and customer support. Many customers report frequent delays in package delivery, errors in shipping, and inadequate responsiveness from customer service representatives. Complaints highlight issues with lost packages, unfulfilled delivery promises, and a lack of accountability, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. While some customers acknowledge the company's long-standing presence in the industry, the prevailing sentiment is overwhelmingly negative, with calls for improved communication and service efficiency. This feedback suggests that UPS must urgently address operational shortcomings to restore customer trust and satisfaction.

Lost me $2500
September 20, 2023

If I could give UPS 0 stars I would. I run a small business and have my packages delivered to my residence so I can process inventory and bring it to my several shops. We have moved recently and one of my suppliers accidentally sent packages to my previous address. I wasn't terribly worried about and was willing to drive the 5 hours to the HUB to pick up these packages and was even willing to pay what ever fees would be charged for the inconvenience. Well, after speaking to 3 representatives regarding the issue I was told that there is absolutely nothing I can do on my end and that any changes that are made need to be done on my suppliers end. My supplier is refusing to fix the issue and so these packages are going to end up being delivered to an address that has stolen packages from me in the past and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. My small business is now out $1500 worth of inventory because of a policy change made last Friday where we as receivers can no longer request to pick up packages from the HUB. There are several other carriers to pick from such as DHL, USPS, FEDEX etc etc. I highly recommend choosing any of those carriers over UPS as you will not get any customer support from them. Btw, we finally figured out the one and only way to speak to a representative over the phone is selecting "track a package" option and going through the prompts. At the end if you say "speak to a representative" you will be connected with a live person. Any other way and the call will be disconnected after the automated system tells you that they can't help you.

UPS is UNRELIABLE
September 17, 2023

UPS has become less reliable than any other service. We live in a mobil home park and there is a map located at the entrance, yet these geniuses that couldn't find their own head unless it is attached continuously deliver to every other home except the one listed on the package. It is not the receivers job or the sender to do UPS's job of correctly delivering to the address listed. UPS, YOU STINK.

Horrible Customer Service
September 17, 2023

Bottom line, my package was not delivered, because the driver lied and said he couldn't locate my address, so he could cut his route short to enjoy college football. I spoke with a super Leri or a similar name who is a supervisor for ups. Leri did a terrible job, she does not know "customer service". She lied to me and said I would receive a notification within a hour if my delivery. This was in yesterday, Saturday 16 at 2:30. No notification. Only notification I received was from ups that my package will be delivered today 9/17/23. But was later told facility is closed on Sunday's. Wow….this is how you treat customers UPS?

I have been using their WorldShip Software for about two years. I have to say it is one of the WORST enterprise software systems I have ever used. The desktop application does not sync with the web application, and to sync the two required one of their techs one month of work, and in the end, it failed.

It's slow, and bloated, running on ancient technology. It also doesn't support a lot of what we need to do. For example we have rates to and from China from around the world, but our business is in the EU. The hack, required to make it work, is absurd, and doesn't always work. The rates is shows are never correct, so I don't know what to tell clients.

You open the app, and there are daily rate updates, surcharge updates, app updates. Even in the middle of creating a shipment, more updates.

Allegedly there is an web version coming, but given the way the company responds in general, I would say 5-10 years out.

As for general their CS is terrible, You have a question about validity of a label, each CS person will give you a different answer.

Package lost... ooops. Delivered without a signature, whoops again.

HATE THEM!

Why can I not rate -5 stars?
September 14, 2023

Last year, UPS inflicted $1,200 worth of damage on a pair of amplifiers due to their consistent mishandling. These weren't merely dropped; they were aggressively mishandled multiple times. Every edge of both amplifiers was marred, with damaged binding posts, and one transformer was nearly dislodged inside. Additionally, large capacitors were dislocated and dented due to the constant rough treatment. Despite everything being packed according to standards and the box meeting shipping regulations, the sender remains in a battle to secure reimbursement. UPS refuses to acknowledge and rectify their staff's blatant mishandling and the resulting damage to the amplifiers.

I work on Ford Drive a UPS store there and I live near store 50 UPS, I have visits to both. Noticed a big difference between the two places of same organization, The Co-Owner of store 50 is help full, tries to sort petty labeling issues, give u a feeb back to go on Mobile press Yes, the amount of clients he has must be highest, I went with a printed label was told a certain size label required did it go went gone I had my last day of return for Amazon, the only lacking in my opinion is and will be a drop box place like Pulator at Argentina Road the time of start 9 am as compared to Pulator is 8 am most places but the experience I had will request all concerns try this store and try others with a hawk eye
Recommended highly,
Shahid

I live on the east end of Charleston WV. Every Saturday they deliver packages wherever they want to and no one ever knows where that will be. I live in an 8 Story Apartment building with an elevator. They don't even bother using the elevator if they are too lazy to take the stairs. They never take the packages to the address on the package. They might leave the packages laying outside the building on the ground for anyone to walk up, pick up the package and walk off. They might bring it in the building and leave it laying on a random table for any of the residents to pick it up and take it to their apartment. Either way they don't care about people's property. One of the supervisors that work for UPS told me if I don't have a signature request they can just sit it down wherever. I asked so WHATS THE POINT OF THE ADDRESS? According to what the supervisor said, because i didn't have a signature request does that mean you just get to deliver it wherever you want to? And she said no. So why was my pack delivered somewhere else again? No answer! Amazon had to give me the information on tracking because ups didn't tell me anything at all. I didn't find out until a day later from another resident after it had already been stolen. I waited all this time for spent my hard earned money to purchase the product and pay them To deliver it only for someone else to enjoy it other than me. I think the drivers are working with someone in the building to purposely leave the packages out for someone to take to their apartment, then the driver can come back and get them later after they stole it from the real owners. They may even be paying them to hold on to peoples stuff so it looks like someone else did it. The whole entire time it could be the driver themselves working with other people to steal items that don't belong to them. I have reported this several times and they have dont absolutely nothing. For all I know the supervisors could be in on it too. This is the WORST delivery service in the country. Do not use them. They are not trustworthy AT ALL.

UPS Sargasso Sea
September 9, 2023

UPS used to be dependable and usually on time with estimate delivery times. Every order I've made originating out of Florida has typically wound up in the Sargasso Sea, lost. Currently, their tracking service shows the order is in Jacksonville, with no estimate for delivery. Customer service is non-existent. According to tracking, they missed a truck for hand-off, and the article went back to the originating facility, and then only to routed to Jacksonville where it hasn't moved. I applied for UPS Choice delivery updates and have received none that I didn't ask for manually.

This was once a good delivery company. They're losing out to inefficiency, and the "I don't care factor." UPS is turning out to be just like many other corporations. I'll be surprised if I get what I ordered three weeks ago.

But if an order is coming out of Florida, look to the Sargasso Sea for answers or updates.

In there own words
Thank you for contacting us back.

In this case, if you are unable to submit the claim online and unable to contact our package investigation department, please contact the sender of the package for further assistance.

Hope this information helps you, do not hesitate to contact us again if you need further assistance.
This comes after them giving me a bogus link for filing a claim, and exactly what I talking about. They said to call for a rep. To help me file the claim. Only it impossible to do as it does not have that option, and says to go online. PLEASE stay clear of ups, thye loose your package and refuse to help.

UPS
September 8, 2023

UPS is the most garbage shipping company that has ever existed. They will not even connect you with a live agent, even though there customer service is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. unless you can provide a tracking number! Then on top of that, the processing center nearest me, where I can pick up my package, is only open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Never use this pathetic excuse for a shipping company for anything! They aren't even worth the 1 star I was forced to rate them!
