After the gate agents failed to make me pay for a personal cross body bag which I wore across my chest, they then had no choice but to issue me a boarding passes for both my 5 years old daughter and I. As we both boarded and seated in our designated seats, the gate agent approached us and info me that I was drunk and cannot fly. The agent then, escorted us off the flight which shocked everyone on board. I was not drunk and did not cause any disruptions to the flight! The actions of the agents at the ticketing counter to the gate agents were United against Asian minority thinking that we are least likely to file complains! I am adding a picture of the cross body bag as evidence! Avoid United Airline at all cost if possible!
I have for 2 days tried Customer service as their employee gave me wrong information so I had to spend 291 dollars for new flights. I have been on hold for 2 hours and 47 minutes and then I realized that Im loosing money. I have travelled for 25 years all over the world bye far worst airline. Friendly advice stay away from them.
They are worst airline and worst customer service. They rip off people. Their call centre overseas, English and understanding is very difficult. No one has any clue, how flights are operated and their goal is make customers vulnerable and helpless. They dig out money from your pocket and In return they don't take responsibility to help the customer

Doing business with this site always has a good outcome for me. Though I'm not really satisfied, still the customer service always has an idea how to deal with flight delays.
So I'm trying to book an UBER from home to Newark Airport (the horror of Newark AP is bad enough!) but UBER not surprisingly asks for the departure Terminal. Trying to find that on the UNITED website or phone app is an exercise in futility. Ah, but don't worry UNITED has junked up the website and App with so much BS it's near impossible to even find your flight info!
Good flight, delicious food and polite staff. The only drawback is really not reasonable pricing policy. Wasted ton of money.
Everyone experiences difficulties at some time or another and you are very lucky if you never have a problem to deal with. But when you do experience an unforeseen problem with company service you hope to have some help. I will not blame the airline for the fuel leak it happens but I how they cope with a twenty four hour delay I know is not easy for them or me as a customer. However my experience of their service under these conditions was a nightmare. Dealing with their customer service late at night was shameful understaffed and without experience I as a retired police officer was ashamed of how customers were treated and left venerable. Beware! The worst thing was failure to except full responsibility and help people.
Paid $142 to ensure my GF who is claustrophobic has an aisle seat for a 9 hour flight. She got a window seat! When bought up to multiple flight attendants, their response was basically sit down and shut up. They then asked us to get off the plane. So, instead of fixing a problem, they made the t worse. 400 plus passengers had to then wait for them to get our bags off the plane. Had they just gave her an aisle seat, we would have been on our way!
The worst airline ever is the united airline customer service. Even If this airline was free, never take it. I've never seen such bad customer service like that before. They're lazy, disrespectful, careless, and so so very rude! They nearly made my daughter miss her flight even though we arrived over 2 hours early. They made not only us, but many people around us wait in line multiple times and open their bags to throw things out. Not only that, but after telling us our bag was good to go, as we were on our way to the plane, they told us our handbag will not fit and we were forced to leave the whole bag behind. If I could've canceled the whole trip to wait for another airline I would have. Worst experience. Never again.
Worst airline ever, after spending $400 per person they count you as a basic economy.
No carry-on on the flight, they charge you $35 per checking bag and basics economy people only get the middle seats.:/

Really bad customer service. In this Trip I encountered so many United airlines people and they are arrogant and do not behave and communicate properly.
I booked a flight and their online system messed up the dates. I called to have it fixed and they tried to charge me over double the cost of the original tickets. They were completely unapologetic and unconcerned with how I felt as a customer so I booked a flight for less than what their original ticket was and almost 1/3 of what they wanted to charge to correct their flight. Their are cheaper and better options. Avoid United.
The company is UNfriendly Uncaring and UNSAFE! After going through an emergency landing due to landing gear issues the customer service department was ill-informed and some of them down right rude. Their phone support was hopeless. I had to explain three times to three different service personal what had just happened. In todays ease of communication I would have thought the United staff would have known a disaster had just been aborted.
After arriving at the airport my and my husband's flight from Zurich to Newark, NJ was delayed for 2 hours and 50 minutes (the airlines out of Europe must reimburse you if they are delayed for 3 or more hours, hence 2 hours 50 minutes). We were supposed to leave at 10:10 and were delayed until 1:00. We got a text that the plane was boarding so we went and stood on line for almost 1 1/2 hours until they finally told us that our flight was cancelled. Long story short, we were not able to book another flight for 2 days and we were told that United would reimburse us for meals, lodging and taxis to and from the airport. They told us to keep our receipts and submit them for reimbursement. After spending over 9 hours in the airport we finally left (without our luggage because it couldn't be retrieved until hours later and we had to go back and get it/search for it ourselves). We kept all of our receipts and submitted them to United only to be told "United's auditors have reviewed them and will approve $580 USD for your expenses. For additional expenses to be considered, please provide receipts that show the items purchased, not just a total of the items purchased." NO ONE told us at the Zurich airport when my flight was cancelled to keep Itemized receipts! Instead of being reimbursed $1319.88 USD, we are getting less than half for our inconvenience. Absolutely insulting! Shame on you United!
My mouth fell open when the United website informed me that I could not check-in online. Why? Because I wasn't paying them extra money for baggage. ONLY at-airport check-in was offered. Everyone has been able to check-in online for, what, 20 years? "Absurd" and "ridiculous" come to mind, but really neither word is strong enough.
I travel alot for my business and thought i would give united a "go". What a joke this company is. I can remember when it was such a wonderful experience to fly and you were treated like royalty, and now we are simply treated like a herd of cattle on and off the plane you go, and dont dare ask any questions or for some simple service! And where do these glorified waitresses in the sky get off acting like there s%&$ dont stink. Im done with you United, will never fly the unfriendly skies again!
United is the worst of the worst. I would rather fly by carrier pigeon than fly with them ever again. I have given them many chances, believe me. From lost luggage, delays, missed connections to finding myself crying in the airport out of total frustration. Pay whatever it is you have to in order to use another airline.
My flight from MSN boarded at 6am so I arrived 1.5hrs early. Every airline with similar or later first departures was there to check bags except United. When asked they said UA would show up when they showed up, probably around 6. With their policy of 1 personal item (ie purse or backpack) I had to check a bag even though the flight in with Delta had no issue with my small carry on bag. To then have to run through security to make my flight I arrived for well before the check-in staff should be embarrassing for United.
Stuck on the tarmac on our flight to Hawaii for 2 hours, in their old, over booked 737, (Right, a 737 to Hawaii), until they had to go back to the gate to offload passengers. Plane overweight.
On the way back, our 3 o'clock flight was delayed, until 9 PM; right, 6 hours late! I missed work the next day, getting back into Los Angeles at 4 am.
I fly allot, first time on United, and my Last!
