We're talking about Forbes Island on pier 39 in the fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. The whole experience was magnificent. First, you take a short ferry ride to the restaurant. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty. The food was exquisite. It was a four course meal each course was fantastic and the service was phenomenal and her name was Katya. All told a beautiful Birthday experience for my wife.
Trivago what a way to find what need to stay warm and safe in a new town. There is something affordable for every budget
Went to eugene to see nitro circus and they found me a very nice choice of any type of lodging including a few hostels. And in seconds. Give em a look u will be happy
We spent three nights at this hotel, yet never received room service. I was pleased by the spaciousness of the room but could not overlook the (fairly clean) yet outdated nature. The grounds (and stairways!) are in complete disrepair. I enjoyed the quality of breakfast but was absolutely dismayed by the nazi nature of staffing: breakfast is pulled at the exact minute despite guest needs~ I arrived 15 minutes before closing (9am) yet was refused (apon asking) eggs (empty tray) for my 15 month old child because it "was too close to closing". Such disregard means I will never stay at this location (or probably any choice hotels again).
My husband and I travel quite a bit and use this app to help find reasonable hotels that take pets. It seems that half the time we find a hotel on the app that says they are pet friendly but get to the hotel and they say they are not. I had one today tell me that they haven't accepted pets for over three years. I woulda really like to see some updates done to this app. It really is helpful just wish it was more accurate. We have also had a few issues with the hotel not wanting to match the price seen on the app but that has only happened a few times. Most generally they will honor it.
Listen Trivago people, Please keep trivago man the way he was the first time.
You keep trying to reinvent him thinking that sexy is a suit... WRONG! Sexy
Trivago man is the first commercial look he had going on, he was preeminent of
A 70s porn/bad guy stare and THAT was his allure. He didn't know he was cute and
That also helped the allure. Making into a normal guy has you missing your mark
On the reason he was so popular to begin with. Please put him back the way he was,
Mean, sexy and ignorant of it all.
Two Owners!
One great guy, Matti!
His partner is a bad-mannered man with no appreciation of good customers.
Good food, good servers.
Without this brute, it would be a good restaurant!
Surprised to see so many 1 star ratings for Trivago. Found it helpful several times when looking for a decent hotel deal. Don't travel much, so maybe I'm not as picky.
I do have specific requirements such as an in-room refrigerator and microwave. Trivago let's me filter hotels for both.
Helpful site and quick server responses. Have been using it for 2 years now, good deals and makes it easy to find a booking partner. Don't know all of the ones in the list but so far, I only made good experiences. This is why I would recommend trivago to my friends any time if they're looking for hotels.
This site is great! Trivago has focused on comparing hotels with each other in numerous perspectives. Before submitting your search you may filter for: price, hotel rating, number of stars, the distance to either the city center or other important sites, type of lodging, hotel facilities... also you may search for a specific hotel to find the cheapest price for that exact hotel. After setting the filters to your liking trivago will provide you with a list of suitable hotels which may be ordered by popularity, rating, price or distance. So again you choose to prioritize exactly what is most important to you. Overall I think it is a very carefully planned and user friendly service that I would like to recommend to others who like to take care of their travelling arrangements online.
Tried to book a hotel same night. Didn't notice that default dates were more than a week out!
No way to get a refund.
Not happy!
Trivago subsequently contacted me and kindly offered to pay the difference.
I suspect that the default dates are chosen by looking for the cheapest rates within a few weeks. Just be sure you check the dates before searching or booking!
I use trivago for all my business trips because I want to make sure the hotel I choose has everything I need (internet, workspace, close to the location of my conference, etc.) I also often like to bring my small Cairn Terrier with me if the trip is not too far from home! Instead of looking at each hotel's website to make sure they meet all my needs, trivago does it for me. It has many different filters that really help you to narrow down the lists of available hotels and helps you find the best fit for your trip.
I assumed Trivago was a legitimate travel website like Kayak or Priceline etc. I did not expect that one of your listed booking agents would be a total scam like Hotel Power.com. I booked a three day stay in Chicago a month ago and pre-paid the room. Now I am being told 4 days before arriving that the hotel has no reservation for me. I have called HotelPower.com twice and received two different so called confirmation numbers none of which are the hotel's confirmation number. The hotel is completely booked for my dates. I should have skipped Trivago and called the hotel and booked it myself. I will never use or recommend in anyway Trivago or Hotel Power. Glen N, Boston MA
I am a bargain shopper and make nearly all of my purchases, small and large, online. You see the TV commercials at least a half dozen times a day on how great it is. Because of this brainwashing, I always go to Trivago at least once for travel rates. Funny thing is I've made exactly zero purchases through the site. With a little more investigation I'm ALWAYS able to find a better deal elsewhere. I don't know why I repeatedly waste my time shopping this site.
I booked an available unit on the morning of 6/6/2016 that was completely available. It was a location in steamboat springs for 12/30/2016 - 1/4-2017. They wanted payment in full at the time of booking. Later in the day I receive an email stating "Sorry, were booked".
I went back to Trivago and the unit is now blocked out for 12/26 - 1/3 and the price has went up on the surrounding dates. I now have a $1,500+ hold on my credit card and no room. This unit was not booked. That is a lie. Someone saw a chance to take it for themselves or make more money. My guess is that it will be available again in a few days at a higher price. NEVER AGAIN! Fool me once...
Absolutely trustworthy site without ads. I like to start my hotel search with trivago, it provides me with a lot of results for well known hotels, not so many or none for small ones. Still if you look for hotels in big cities, trivago will be of great use for you.
Booked a room in Miami FL and received confirmation AFTER payment for a room in Jackson TN. Website Trivago sent me to had a no refund policy and now Im out 800.00. This Company should be sued along with the Elvoline. Com Company. They take peoples hard earned money for a trip and steal it from them. Anybody interested in a lawsuit?
I was really excited to use this site. I booked a hotel in Banff for a weekend. The hotel advertises their rate as $500 on special for $99.00. Upon arrival the hotel was more like a hostel, the lights in the room didn't work and they had placed us in a queen room rather than two double beds. It didn't end there! They were "sold out" of rooms with 2 double beds AND the refused to refund our 2 night stay. Booking.com was unable to do anything about it! Nor was Trivago. There is really no point in a site to help you find deals if they allow business to lie about their rates.
Dear Meeks G.,
Thank you for your message and we would be happy to help.

I had a reservation at the Diplomat in Fl Lauderdale at $239 per night. Went online and saw Trivago at $184 per night, so for my 3 night stay I should have saved $165, right? No. The total came out to only an $84 savings- I guess because of fees. Then I get sketchy calls from some company called Cancelon with an Indian or Pakistani guy wanting to ask me questions to confirm my reservations. Next, when I went to confirm my reservation with the Diplomat, they did not have my reservation yet AND she reminded me that Hilton offers a price match +20% guarantee. Drat! Next time just call the hotels and book with them directly. There is just something that does not sit right with me about Trivago and Cancelon and it is not worth the $84 savings - I could have saved even more if I had called the hotel
Their customer service is awful. It is impossible to speak to anyone or get an email response. Right on the middle of the Corona virus I cant get any response. I am basically out $800. No response on a request to at least move the date. I will never purchase with them again and recommend travelers try other sites.
After hours of searching we finally found a nice deal and decided to do the booking. I received the booking ID number and Trip number. They send me an email saying that they had receive our money and they would send an email of confirmation shortly. But for our big disappointment on the next day I received an email saying: " The hotel has informed us that the booking you made at the rate at which you purchased it was booked by someone else just a few seconds before you. We tried to find other rooms at the hotel at the same rate but unfortunately, there are no rooms available and we have had to refund you."
What a bul$&@" :(( (((( as they still had the same rate when I checked after ready my email. It means that they don't update the website properly and you can lose a good deal in other reliable website while you will be waiting until they cancel booking!
It was the first time and for sure the LAST time I have used this crap website!
Ps. We still didn't get our money back after more than 24 hours waiting :(( ((
Answer: The bottom line is good luck with that. Nobody cares and they may email you back but nothing will happen and i guarantee if you gave someone money for a service it is gone forever. There are so many rip off sites related to Trivago it is unreal.
Answer: Dear Michelle, Thank you for your message and I would be happy to help. Depending on the booking site you choose to make your reservation with (ex. Expedia, booking.com, Agoda etc.) you may be required to prepay for the booking in full, an authorization (hold) on your credit card may be placed, or you may have to simply pay upon check out at the hotel. I would suggest reading the policy of the particular booking site you use, to see how their payment process works. As trivago is a hotel meta-search, meaning users can search and compare different hotels and prices on our site, we pull information from multiple OTAs (online travel agencies such as Expedia or Booking.com) and display the prices together. However, once a user clicks through to book a room, they are directed to the appropriate booking site which provides that price to complete reservation and payment details. Trivago doesn't actually have any involvement in the making of the booking. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Kind regards, James Morrison Trivago user support.

Dear trivago users,
We have been in touch with Finn directly and are in the process of resolving his booking issue in his favor and to his satisfaction.
In terms of the default date, once you enter your desired location or hotel into the search bar on trivago a calendar will drop down to enter your check in and check out dates. Finn claims in his case this did not happen and we of course will take him at his word. But of course we would expect our users to choose their preferred dates prior to confirming any booking. We also advise our users to double check that all information matches on the booking site after they have been directed there from trivago.
Kind regards,
Trivago user support.
