If you guys get a torrid card and use the money on there they will sue you and hand it over to lawyers on their behalf
I've spent over 2000 this year with them, tjis yeat alone. Again a plus dress is 80-100 bucks so no big deal n good stuff. But sizing is weird so yes o have returned n repurchasef several things. Nowand some how my order got cancled several times. 3 Sups promised call backs customer service promised a call back. And nothing! Sev r ral items were for a vegas trip that has now come and gone. Disgusted horrible treatment!
I made an online order in April and it has taken a long time for them to even acknowledge I made the order. Whatever, I can be patient. What I won't tolerate is no communication as to why the one item, that was the whole reason for me making this order, was canceled. But it only says that on my Torrid account, that I am only being sent 3 items, in an email I received 6 days ago finally shows my order shipped with all 4 items. I tried contacting them immediately, claimed it would be 24 hours until the responded... waited 3 days and tried to contact them again and still nothing. I have now tried to get ahold of them EIGHT TIMES to find out why an item was canceled with no answer. I'm so pissed off, I tried to return my entire order because if you can respond to a customer in two months time, I'll keep my money. Now, suddenly, nothing I ordered can be returned.
In one picture is the email I was sent, stating all 4 items shipped. The other photo is my Torrid account saying canceled. If their system allowed me to purchase something that was already sold I am going to be pissed off even more. I used to love torrid, but lately they can't seem to get their sh*t together. I know shipping is crazy right now, I'm not mad about the wait time. I'm mad that no one will respond and even attempt to give me an answer why they are canceling my items with no warning or explanation. Rude.
I saw a dress I really liked and to offset the enormous $50USD shipping fee to Canada, added a few extra small sale items. 8 hours later I received a message from Torrid stating that the dress I really wanted was no longer available and they were shipping the other things. I contacted Torrid immediately (less than 24 hrs from the original order) and explained the situation and tried to cancel, and they said it was too late (Although it took another 6 days before I got the notification that they had shipped my stuff,) the stuff arrived (2 weeks later) and was awful and I asked to return it. They don't reimburse shipping or cover return shipping to Canada, so it wouldb have cost me an extra $40 CDN with Canada post. So over $100CDN for stuff that wasn't even nice.
I bought a 3 pack of belts with the leopard print in my sights! I'm against animal products, so when I read the product details "a wild leopard print faux pony hair design" and "Man-made materials" I thought, perfect! Much to my HORROR, when the belts arrived on the leopard print belt was a "GENUINE PONY HAIR" tag. SO GROSS! I emailed Torrid customer service & one rep told me that they DO NOT USE ANIMAL PRODUCTS. I reminded them of the suede boots, leather sandals, leather purses, etc. Again, another rep told me they don't use animal products. Um... yes you do. Yet another rep told me they would refund me my money & I can throw the belt in the garbage! Throw the belts in the garbage!? How about a suggestion to donate... Insane. Talk about a complete disregard for a life & completely unknowledgeable customer service. They kept throwing credit at me to stop me from emailing... the only upside was I made about $30 in free credit. The belts themselves are fine, other than the fact that you're wearing a skinned pony around your waist & not knowing it. This is one of many products they have misrepresented.
Don't lie about your products TORRID... especially when it comes to something so important to some people, in my case, an animal's life was taken for this tacky belt... and that is not something I stand for.
This site has cute clothes but they're very expensive. Most of the time the clothes fit true to size but you have to read the reviews if any first for the product.
I noticed sometimes they fail to mention if a top if see-through or not. I fell into that trap a few times.
Thankfully they dropped their shipping price because for a really long time it was so expensive.
I get coupons sent to me but the problem there is. You can use a discount code coupon but shipping cost doesn't apply to the actual total cost! So you end up spending more than intended. Well done Torrid.
I ordered a tank top on clearance in "pink" and they sent one to me in "coral" which looked like an orange color. I hated it and since I couldn't return it, I ended up donating it to Goodwill. The color was ugly and not even close to what I selected. So if they run out of things they just give you whatever they find close to it in a sense.
The shoes run a little small for me I noticed.
I had to order a size up for a proper fit. I ordered heels for prom in a size 9 which I normally wear and guess what? Too small! So I had to pay overnight shipping which broke my wallet on top of prom! And had to get them in size 10, which fit.
So I guess my reviews are mixed but Torrid isn't my first choice for cute plus sized clothes.
Way too expensive Torrid!
I got an order, first of there is 2 of a clearance item that I did not order 2 of. The second issue is that it states on the back f the invoice to call them for the return. I call and get hung up on the first time. Start calling and find a return button online so this time I hang up. Then I notice it is only for returns, no exchanges. So before hitting anything I struggle through trying to return my items only to be told after 10 minutes that she can't do it and I must do it online. I explain that I can not do exchanges it seems to only allow for returns. She tells me I have to do it that way. So then I had to play a new order and pay for shipping again, and to return the items I have I will also have to pay for shipping. So now I have paid for shipping 2x on one order. This would not have even happen if they didn't start f*ing with their sizing. I used to know what I was and order it isn any top or bra no problem. Now I can be a different size between similar/same items.
Bottom line I am stuck with 1 item I did not even order and had to pay for shipping 2x so I am out $18.
After 7 calls to customer service, hung up on. Horrible. I'm done. Just wanted a replacement. I was hung up on being transferred to a supervisor. So frustrated. Strings hanging
I have purchased a couple thousand dollars in clothing in store and online at Torrid. The only article that is in tact still is my leather bomb jacket. Everything else is tattered, have come apart at the seams, unraveled, have broken zippers (cheap plastic), broken clasps or buttons, and fringed. Whether it's a cotton tee or tailored slacks I have experienced one of these issues with everything I have purchased. Now let me be clear on how I wash and wear my clothing. I either don't wash it and wear for short periods and immediately hang it up when done. Or I was in cold water and hang or flat dry my clothing. I also tend to wear my clothing loose so squeezing into a fit is not the issue either. Let's face it even if I was the cause for these mishaps it wouldn't be to everything I have purchased with Torrid, and if my habits with how I wear and care for them is the issue then why do I not experience this with any other retail clothing line? In my opinion Wal-Mart carries a better quality of clothing on it's racks.
Customer Service is no help either as I was refused a return on a lace top that literally feel apart before I even made it out of the house. I had absolutely no time at all to enjoy that beautiful shirt. And why did it fall apart? It was poorly made!
I have called and written Torrid headquarters to no avail. But their service provider for their credit department Commenity Bank doesn't skip a beat in sending me a bill every month for clothing I can not wear. And if you want proof well, I have a box full of clothing to prove my claims.
I love shopping here, I love that the sizes are in smaller size but the actually sizes are larger ( 2= 18-20 etc) I shop there twice a year ( if not more)
The company was not responsive to my inquiries regarding status of my return / refund. I had to mail them the UPS tracking proof of delivery to get them to respond. I returned a pair of sandals which I did not wear because they were too small. I returned them the next day of receiving them. Torrid did not refund the ENTIRE AMOUNT OF PURCHASE! WHAT A RIP-OFF! I won't be ordering from Torrid again. I've never had this issue with EQUII.
Purchased $165 and talked into opening an account. All merchandise purchased on this new account was returned 2 weeks later; however, my account was only credited $33.00. Sadly, and much like the Cavanaugh hearinging, I am supposed to prove my innocence with this dispute although they can see the transactions in question.
DO YOUR JOB
After six phone calls and empty promises by the bank to resolve, I have been wrongly reported to credit bureau and I have taken action to write to the Attorney General's Office and all credit bureau's.
I cannot warn you enought - DO NOT GET INTO BED WITH EITHER OF THESE BUSINESSES
So I recently made an online order at Torrid. After a week they still have not sent my merchandise. On top of that I am trying to close on a home. I was just informed that I have to have my Torrid card paid off to get a clear to close. The problem is I can not pay my CC off if the items have not shipped because they are just pending and I can not cancel the order Due to their horrible online system. So now I get to pay 75.00 as a penalty from the builder until they will ship my order which they have told me will only be another 10 days at most. So now I am paying for a hotel every day and a 75.00 fee every day for not closing. THANKS TORRID! YOUR HORRIBLE SYSTEM WILL COST ME 2000+ DOLLARS FOR A 200.00 ORDER YOU AREN'T ABLE TO PROCESSS. NEXT TIME DON'T TAKE ORDERS IF YOU CAN'T PRODUCE THE PRODUCT IN A TIMELY BASIS!
I used to live close to a store so it was easy shopping. I despise how grossly costly everything is but I don't have much of a choice and only get stuff when needed. I live in Canada and have been seeing stores popping up here and there. Great however closest store is a 3hr drive. I was trying to order a bra online since they don't have my size in store and here all 4 of the addresses to my hometown apparently do not exist. So I thought I'm going to be in the big city next week I'll order to store. NOPE. Apparently you can't do it. It offers but won't let you. I sent an email 5 days ago and got nothing and I don't want to wait any longer for the sale. I called today and FINALLY got some answers that most places international Torrid will not ship to. This includes to stores. I refue to order through customer service since I don't like giving them my credit card information and they gave me to someone else. The other lady told me they will attempt to process my adress but will take up 5 weeks. I told her the promo will for sure be done by then. They told me if I screenshot it with the date they should actually be able to honor it. You think they should! Not my fault your company advertises it can ship anywhere but actually doesn't! And 5 days for a damn email from customer service is too long.
I know why this company is still up and running- ppl need clothes. But if they were running my their reviews they would 100% be closed down.
All I can say is it's a waste of ever customers time unless of course you live in the US.
Ridiculous
There website won't let me order anything. It will take my money from my debit card but won't process the order. This is the 2nd time. Please fix your website.
This is the 4th pair of these pants I bought since the end of April & 3 out of the 4 lost the pocket stitchings! These pants aren't cheap! So at $65 each why is the stitching falling apart?
I Love my new Torrid Midevil Blue Babydoll top WOW comfy stylish and the color Love it the Peplum fabric is so comfy and light I'll wear this with my Torrid Pixie Leggings oh yeah you definitely have a great Quality Fashions and the Torrid Burnout Jacquard Lace Dress looks Great on me I don't look or feel 57 Thanks Torrid for the Great Fashions and the Staff are Lovely
I bought an expensive sports bra that fell apart after 2 months and they refused the return. I won't shop at Torrid ever again.
So there this sale on clearance yesterday and I purchased $276.00 worth of items. Today, I get an email they cancelled my order. No reason given. So I call. The representative says it's their error so she kept me on the phone an hour adding everything back to the a new order and wow everything is still in stock Puts me on hold to add the quantity of some. I ordered 2-3 of most of the items. Yay. I told her it's not showing up in quantity but it's at the same price. She said "don't worry it needs time to change in their "system". An hour goes by no email confirmation. Nothing changes in the quantity. So I spend another hour talking to a new rep. Guess what? Most everything is now " out of stock" LOL but there was still some left to my order. I asked her just to cancel and she said she can't lol so She says to take it back to the store. Well, nice idea except they don't return clearance items. So I go with what they do have. She gives me $20 for being so patient. I finally get off the phone with them and one by one I am getting emails on every single item being out of stock. Torrid does not care about their customers. This is the worst most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. Hopefully I'm not being charged so I'll check my bank in the morning. Same crap nothing changes. Torrid You need to do something about your stock numbers and the unprofessional way you conduct business. You are losing customers. Have you seen your feedback? Do you look? I am Spending around 200-$1500 a month on your clothes and if you Torrid make a mistake and screw your customers they will go through hell to get it right. But you sure get your money. I no longer trust them with my money. When I had $140 in rewards I spent it in the store because if they're out of stock you'll never see your reward again. Spent a month getting my gift card amount back literally talking to 15 reps and hours upon hours just to get one card back. This is insane
Twice I have bought product from Torrid.com and returned them to an actual store. Twice they have shortchanged me by more than $100! What happened was that I've gotten discounts off their regular (extremely high) prices. Then when I return the product, they subtract the amount of the discount off the amount I paid! Therefore, the discounted amount is still owed me. The first time I realized it when I was still in the store and had the cashier fix it before I left. The second time I didn't notice before I left the store and have had nothing but trouble for an entire week trying to get my money back. The company even admitted it owes it to me but, since I hadn't heard from them when they said, I also opened a Paypal claim. The Torrid manager told me I would have to close that claim before she could process my refund. Paypal said not to do that as they have to process the refund through Paypal. Bottom line is I will never do business with this stupid company again and I don't think you should either.
Answer: I recently returned an item after waiting more than two weeks for delivery. It took almost a month for them to respond and acknowledge that they received the returned item. I never wore the item (shoes) because they were too small and Torrid only refunded 1/2 of the purchase price. RIP OFF!
Answer: They are the most consistent in sizes that I have found - so depends on what store you are comparing them to and your body shape. I am kind of boxed shape (except for cutting in under the bust I am big everywhere) - they run smaller than Lane Bryant for me - but for my friend who is chest heavy she wears the same sizes at both. In comparison to most regular sized stores I size down - like I am a 4x at Old Navy - a 3x at Torrid.
Answer: It's totally normal, unfortunately. I'm on day 13 now and was told today it would be another 7 days before my order shipped.
Answer: DON'T ORDER SHOES FROM THEM! I recently returned a pair of sandals that did not fit. I returned them the next day and fortunately returned via UPS so I had a tracking number. It took almost a month to get an acknowledgement that they received the return ONLY because I kept sending them the UPS proof of delivery, and then ---- THEY ONLY REFUNDED HALF THE PURCHASE PRICE!
