EDIT: After several mails where they asked me to delete my bad review and an official Paypal claim I received half of my money back today. I guess that's the most you can expect when buying a cheap phone from a Chinese company, So I changed my rating to a 3*.

I was told about one of the flash sales for a Les Paul style DIY guitar on one of the Facebook guitar kit builders sites. I thought well what do I have to lose at 77 bucks right? Well in this case 77 bucks. The finish was horrid. Looked like the surface of the Maple flame veneer, already paper thin, had been cratered. The binding at the neck was raised up. People get varied quality from the sounds of it and all I heard was customer service was crap. I sent a photo of the product and told them it was a huge disappointment. Never heard a word from them. Blew me right off. I e mailed them July 12 so its been awhile. This is the 4th kit Ive built and it will be far from the last, but TopTom wont see my money again. They got 1 shot and blew it. Crap product and even crappier customer service. I finally decided to see what I could make of it but I will have to do a solid color. The flame is just hog wash on this one.

TomTop refunded my order without giving any explanation. This is 2 weeks after my order was submitted. From what I gathered from other buyers, they have oversold their orders. I wouldn't recommend their services. You will never know when they will cancel your order. A business that doesn't honour their sales is not worth buying from.

I have made a total of two purchases under their different accounts. Both items were for a tackle box. The first purchase was never received and waited 2 or 3 months (I can’t recall) for it to arrive as they described in the listing. TOMTOP’s customer service is excellent when they are selling or in the process of selling you an item. The problem starts when you have to make a claim or return an item. Well they kindly assured me to wait all the way until eBay’s money back guarantee was gone (I think this is within 30 days). I could’ve gone through my credit card for refund but since this was only $5 it was not worth it. Writing the bad review here was fulfilling to me. The second time I bought the tackle box from TOMTOP through eBay arrived quickly this time. The only difference was that they were under different Ebay account holders. I would have liked to leave them bad feedback but didn’t since I did receive the tackle box. Now why did I purchase from them the second time? It was because I didn’t expect to receive it and wanted to go through eBay for the money back and leave the bad feedback……………. Moral of story…. Don’t purchase from TOMTOP unless you can eat the loss.
