Hickory NC. Twice a qualified minority has applied to TJ Maxx for a job position they qualified for and twice they were denied the opportunity. After some white people heard of this and knowing about the minority persons interest in the job they were told...and I quote, Oh they don't hire minorities over the at TJ Maxx. Prejudice retailer. TJ Maxx deserves no stars.
Lesson learned, once you believe you have selected all items they can still vanish and you have no way to modify order, neither cancel it to re place it, you have to pay shipping again to add a matching clothing piece. The chat is worthless they have no way to find available items at stores. Very far from good cust service. I was just told to drive to each store to find it.
I love the stores, and decided to buy on line. 4 days after I placed my order, I got a notice that it was canceled. I called customer service and they showed my item as being available and re ordered. Great. Then I was notified my order was canceled AGAIN. This time I was told it was no longer available. They need to get their poop in a group. I was very disappointed and will not buy on line from them again given that their computer software cannot keep up with inventory which leads to a poor customer experience.
I find the store charming, unusual items are available at a very
Nice price for quality. I have been able to return unused items
For over 6 months. I sent some to my daughter, she is always late
Returning items to me.
The help is always pleasant. I enjoy my trip there
Takes forever to ship out your order. If you have free shipping forget it, you won't receive anything. Call and they will refund you your money back saying package was lost. Wasted my time and energy, all I got was a refund. Won't order anything from that site. Save your money and time people.
One 3 separate shopping excursions I have purchased some very artsy sterling silver (925) jewelry made in Israel that rocks. SO many compliments on the HUGE free form pendant on a black leather thong and 3 pair of large earrings. Most recently I got a "chain" that looks more like it's made of silver nuggets of successive sizes. Anyway, compliments every time I wear these pieces. They are weighty. Most expensive item was $69 (pendant). It is about 5" wide. Some of these are silver-over-wax items. So far I have experienced NO tarnishing. I can't guarantee that every store has this jewelry, but it's worth checking on. Got a wonderful, large designer (T Hilfiger) suitcase (hardcase) on wheels with specialized lock for $70. Take a look around. There's choice, there's savings.
The employees here don't actually care about you and half the time get annoyed when you ask for help or even when you're getting in line they don't hear about your day they just try to sell you their tjmax credit card. I went there just because my family was going I don't regularly shop there so I wasn't interested in buy anything other than some Halloween decorations that were already put out in the beginning of August. I paid $70.00 for a big pumpkin decoration, while I'm in line the manger himself is trying to promote the Tjmaxx rewards card saying no annual fees 10% back for every 200 you spend. I repeated said no I'm good and they kept hassle me saying you will save more. Some employees pass it off as just a reward card which it isn't definitely is not when reading the packet they give you. There is an annual fee and interest rate is 28%.
This is one place that I will be glad to see Amazon run out of town. Their store credit cost me 130 credit points. A 200$ card they enticed me to get and sent me no bills or notices on it. Wasn't until I saw my credit score drop 130 pts did I realize I had late payment. When I called them for mercy it was someone foreign in another country that couldn't speak English and hung up on me. Buyers beware. I can have my cheap China junk delivered to my house, go Amazon they Rule
The only complaint I have is that every morning before opening there are 3 to 4 women waiting to rush in and buy all the Rae Dunn items its not fair to people who just want a few things but there's no chance since these women buy it and sell it to double their money maybe the staff should but things out later in the day after they have left just a thought its very disappointing
TJ Maxx is my go to for finding cute things for my home, gifts, cute clothing…. You name it!
I found a cute top and needed to try smaller sizes, asked for help so I wasn't searching all day and Emma was quick at giving me the two sizes smaller, I bought that too! Stephanie was such a big help with jewelry and found a cute ring and Ashley at the checkout was so friendly! I love my Plover, WI store, the great finds there and the awesome staff!
I ordered some cooling sheets some pillows and a pair of sandals almost three months ago. And I'm just now being contacted about the items not being in stock. WTF? I used to love tjmaxx, but this issue has changed my shopping habit with this company.
I have shopped at this place for years. I have literally bought thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from them. I have returned few items and have never asked for a price match until about a week ago. I bought a pair of leather pants from their online store and just a few hours later they had been marked down $50. Because I had just ordered them, I wrote and asked for a price adjustment. No response. I also asked that if they did not price match, to please let me know and I would just order another pair and return these. I wrote them 5 times and still no response. They finally emailed me after a week and told me I was out of luck. That was it. I tried to order another pair, but of course they were gone. So this is the way they treat a good customer? I don't think I will be going back.
I've shopped with TJX for years, it's one of my favorite places. I thought I would try the website because they had options that I wouldn't find in my local store. I purchased an item and didn't get a shipping notification, a week later my purchase was cancelled. While I understand that this is a scenario that can happen I asked for compensation for the inconvenience. Apparently they don't offer coupons to customers put in this situation, at other online stores when this has happened they at least offered a coupon for future use. So I won't be back and that really sucks.
I made some purchases online from TJ Maxx in December 23. Soon after someone tried to make an unauthorized change on my debit card. I don't use it often so I wasn't sure where the breech was. My bank caught it and denied the charge. They issued me a brand new card. On Jan 7 24 I made another online purchase from tj Maxx.com with my new debit card. I didn't use it for anything else. A few days later I began receiving spam emails addressed to me by first and last name as I wrote it on my order form for TJMaxx. So I believed I found the breech. I contacted Customer Service to share my suspicions and to ask about the security of their website. The representative took my information and got my phone number and said she would pass it on to her supervisor and someone would contact me. I'm writing this because no one thought was important enough to respond to my concern. Please be careful when ordering online at t j maxx. I don't believe their website is secure. I will not be ordering from them again I haven't used my new debit card again. If there are any further problems it definitely was poor security at tjmaxx.com. Their lack of concern tells you the type of company they are. I will not order online from tj Maxx again.
It wasn't bad enough that I waited a couple of weeks for my order which was shipped in 3 different packages at 3 different times. Once I decided to use the beauty wand I noticed while reading the instructions to be sure to remove the clear wrap before charging. There was no clear wrap on my wand. After charging I tried to use the wand it wouldn't turn on right and once it turned on I couldn't turn it off. This item had been repackaged to look like new and sold to me as new. If you return the item by mail they will charge you $10.99 for repackaging. They are making a big profit off of this $24.99 wand. Selling defective, charging for return then selling again and charging for return. So I guess I will have to drive to the next city to return this defective item if I want my money back. There will be no more online orders from TJ Maxx or Marshalls because I have had nothing but problems from the both of them. It's not worth the stress of waiting weeks and then not receiving what you ordered.
Products stickered wrong. Manager refuses to admit that the mistake is their fault all even though the the product was found that way on the shelf. The manger Paul told customers in Groton, Connecticut that it could have been them! Awful and embarrassing experience for everyone!
Todays Veterans day and my husband and I went shopping! 25% off bed bath and beyond, 11% big lots snd a free breakfast. Go to TJ Maxx and nothing! Im disappointed, as large as this chain is they dont acknowledge Vets? Not happy about this, people need to know! Unamerican TJ Maxx! Shows exactly how you feel about your customers, you dont care!
I ordered some shampoo early October. TJ Maxx sent the whole order but one bottle. Then they took out the money minus that one bottle around that time. I haven't ordered anything since early October. Then yesterday they took out the full amount from early October. Someone there needs to be fired not knowing how to do finances. Not a happy customer. Will not order from a dishonest place again.
Needed to return $25 skillet that broke at 90 days. I had my receipt but a portion of the barcode at the bottom was missing. So- would TJ Maxx return - NOPE! They couldn't see the one edge on the side so the clerk refused. Had I been passive, I would have had to leave then but I didn't- demanded a manager who gave me a merchandise credit. Big deal - I won't be back - treat me like I'm trying to cheat them out of money?! I can't even pass on the card to someone else to use- they said it's tied to my ID so it won't work for the recipient. That SUCKS. Into the trash, it goes because I won't be back! Stay away from the Newport Kentucky TJ Maxx- bunch of crooks that treat you like trash
When working i used to go shopping at T. J. Maxx with a friend and get what i wanted to buy and go up to the cashier and come to find out some things were on sale. Nice things i would find for my home.
I recently purchased a pair of cloth boots for my wife's birthday from the Miami Beach TJ Maxx, and the seam attaching the boot to the sole came apart the 2nd time she wore them! I took them back to my local store for a refund, but the refund was denied by the store manager, the reason being that the boots had been worn! What bothers me about this, is that the seam was obviously defective when I bought it, or it wouldn't have come apart so quickly. I asked about a store credit, but that was also denied. Walmart, Target, and Ross stand by the quality of their products. Why doesn't TJ Maxx? Needless to say, we will not purchase TJ Maxx clothes or footwear in the future.
Answer: This site takes a lot longer to ship than normal sites. I do not know why they are slow. There's a chance they could also cancel your order because their inventory status is not usually up to date.
Answer: It's probably in the process of being cancelled. Tjmaxx online sucks
Answer: It seems they run true to size. I haven't had any difficulty but don't know about others.
