I am a long time loyal customer of TJ Maxx and Marshalls but will never step foot into their stores again after they shunned Ivanka Trump., Really dumb move. I will not give them my money.
Only sent one, of three items ordered. Ended up paying more for the shipping, then the item that was sent. Customer service is awful. DO NOT ORDER FROM TJMAXX!

I'm in my early 60's, and I believe that most of the clothing items are made for younger women. On the other hand, I get impatient browsing through racks of tightly stacked clothes. However, for things like hair care, spa and bath items, facial care, soaps, towels, and other linens, I have found some excellent deals on expensive, brand name items. At the store nearby, one thing I ALWAYS do is to make sure that the seals on the packages have NOT been broken, the lipsticks and makeups have NOT been used, and that nothing has been opened. You have to be careful about things like that. I LOVE TJ MAXX for toiletries and home products. I always spend way too much. Just be careful about the things I've mentioned, and I know you will love TJ MAXX, too.

Omg! The T. J Maxx in Georgetown is horrible like why did I even waste my time! There they really need to sort there clothes properly. They have no comstumer service there please don't go!

I was shopping at a Homegoods store in Novi, MI when I received a receipt with a warning for a return without a receipt. Homegoods, TJ Maxx & Marshalls are owned by the same group. Anyway the receipt that I got said return without a receipt my be declined in the future. Let me begin by saying I have shopped at these stores since they opened their first store. I can't begin to tell you how much I have spent over the years, at least a half a million. I return items routinely without a receipt since I have bags full of receipts and if I know that the item is past due for a charge credit and that I will get a store credit, why should I waste my time searching for hours for a receipt. This is a corporate problem since they can't scan your credit card so that the customer will dump the money back into the store and then they turn around and essentially slap the customer in the face. If they don't allow me to return without a receipt I will tear up my credit card with them and forget about shopping at any of their stores. This is horrible customer service. All of the employees know me at these stores and are very upset that this has happened to me.
Shalia and Ashley were amazing in helping us tryout clothes and dresses while Sam D was very against it and told us to leave and take those off and was very homophobic
I paid my bill using a Visa gift card and then a year later they start mailing me a bunch of junk saying that they are sending me to a creditor because I never paid that bill. While the gift card had expired finally so I threw it away after six months. I have no record of it because it's a gift card… They claim I never paid this $20 bill. Ridiculous they have probably sent me $150 worth of junk mail creditor stuff as well as stuff directly from TJ Maxx. They've spent more money mailing stuff to me then the money they made off of the $20 dress that I bought. If you try to call the headquarters they are only trying to sell you some thing and you can't talk to anybody or get Customer Service on the phone and if you hit zero it just hangs up! When I walked into the store I did find some thing I liked and I bought it but in all honesty… I had a terrible feeling the whole time I was in there. I knew that they were a bad store to buy from and I regret making a purchase. Also the employees there are very rude. And this is not just at one T. J. Maxx… I've had this experience at every TJ Maxx I've ever walked into they are just very rude to customers. They need to be shut down! Plus everything they sell is very cheap… The dress that I bought fell apart after the first time I washed it!
I euphonize with you experience. However, you get off very easy. When we purchase online from this retailer in 2021 and multiple orders were not much to picture, I called customer service and was instructing to return it to the store or by mail. I did not want to care cost of shipping for wrong goods, so we take it to the store. Everything was excepted by retailer, 6 months letter we were arrested and charged with criminal charges! 180 days letter charges are still pending and still did face our accusers in court! Courts dates are keep moving, employees rejecting our application for an employment based on the "pending criminal charges". Hence, the law is not is written on the constitution, but what current government and this retailer believe it is, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. The cheap or free cheese is only in the mouse trap, which this retailer is, and shortcomings of management whose explanation for mishandling business is "CUSTOMERS DID IT!". So, my advice to everyone stay away from TJ MAX, Marshals and other "CHEEP" retailer, if you do not what to find yourself fighting a criminal charge for decades and damaging your reputation.
I absolutely love TJ Maxx. I shop at the brick and mortar store all the time. I bought some pillows and curtains for my sun room online and it was a terrible experience. It took over a week for them to process my order and finally ship it. Ok, no big deal. When I got my shipment almost 2 weeks after I ordered it (after it looked like someone played kickball with my package and one of the packages were open) I saw they put the completely wrong throw pillows in my package. It wasn't even close to what I ordered. I called and they wanted me to send these big throw pillows back before I got my refund. I'm slightly irritated at this point but ok, I'll do that. THEN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID MY ORIGINAL PILLOWS I ORDERED WERE OUT OF STOCK. The solution? When they got the wrong pillows back and finally issue a refund, I can go online and pick OTHER pillows to order instead. You have got to be kidding me. I'm never ordering online again. Don't do it.
Purchased a runa/wrap late this fall as I've tired of jackets and sweaters. Received many compliments on this purchase and was very pleased with its quality.
Merchandise stores. All these retail stores like this should stick to merchandising and stay out of politics. When they are making BIG sales on Ivanka's line and WANTED to sell her products it was because they knew it was CLASSY and they believed they could MAKE money. Has the merchandise changed in quality or price?
GROW UP, stick to what you do best (making money selling) and stop acting childish
It just takes time to look around each store however, it's worth the time spent as you get good deals. The prices have gone up quite a bit in the last few years, but you still get good bargains.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED 4 SCENTED SOY CANDLES FROM T. J. MAXX ONLINE. I HAD NEVER PURCHASED FROM THE ONLINE PRIOR TO THIS ORDER.
FIRST, I RECEIVED THE PACKAGE 3 DAYS AFTER PLACING THE ORDER WHEN I WASN'T EXPECTING IT FOR 5+ DAYS.
SECOND, I OPENED THE BOX AND FOUND EACH CANDLE WAS DOUBLE WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP AND SECURED WITH TAPE. THERE WAS ALSO A LOT OF PAPER IN THE BOX TO CUSHION THEM TO AVOID BREAKAGE.
I WAS PLEASED NONE WAS BROKEN SINCE OTHER RETAILERS HAVE SENT ME CANDLES OR OTHER GLASS ITEMS SO POORLY PACKED THAT SOME GLASS ITEMS BROKEN.
THIRD, T. J. MAXX SPENT THE TIME AND MONEY TO INDIVIDUALLY BUBBLE WRAP, SECURE AND FILL THE BOX WITH PAPER SO THAT I WOULD RECEIVE THE ORDER WITHOUT BROKEN GLASS. THAT'S MORE THAN I CAN SAY ABOUT MIST ONLINE RETAILERS.
I ordered online a woman's bag. They sent me a totally different one. I am highly disappointed! When I called the customer service representative she told me to return it. Duuh
I still have not received 1 of 2 items I ordered. Reported it to customer service. I was told I have to wait 10 days before i can ask for a refund. They won't even reorder the item. Don't trust it.
I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR MY ONLINE ORDER. TWO "REPRESENTATIVES" TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT EXPEDITE MY ORDER! IT'S TRUE THAT WHEN I ORDERED THE ITEM ONLINE, I CHOSE THE REGULAR SHIPPING BUT BUT I NEEDED THE ITEM IMMEDIATELY FOR I WAS LEAVING OUT OF THE COUNTRY. I TOLD THEM I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY ADDITIONAL MONIES FOR THE EXPEDITED SHIPPING BUT THEY JUST SAID NO! NOW I WILL BE OUT OF TOWN WHEN THE DELIVERY COMES AND THERE WILL BE NOBODY HOME TO ACCEPT IT AND SOMEONE WILL STEAL MY ITEM. THANKS TJ MAXX. I WILL NEVER SHOP WITH YOU AGAIN! I like both these stores. BUT, sometimes you go in and can't find anything. Next time you fill up your cart. You just have to stop in and check out what they have new.
Favorite store. Has everything anyone would need at an affordable price. They have the same things that you would buy at a name brand store for over half the price. Defiantly worth checking out!
Answer: This site takes a lot longer to ship than normal sites. I do not know why they are slow. There's a chance they could also cancel your order because their inventory status is not usually up to date.
