AVOID TIRE RACK
February 26, 2015

! CAUTION! When making a claim on a tire for road hazard. This is a big hassle! They tell you to send in the invoice. They don't respond to your email. I call them and now they need the actual receipt and never told me that. They only give you what you paid for the tire so you're out money on that deal. They already spoke with the shop where I bought the tire. HOW MUCH MORE INFORMATION WILL THEY NEED! I GUESS I'LL FIND OUT WHEN I CALL BACK AGAIN TO SEE IF THEY GOT MY EMAIL ONCE AGAIN AS THEY DON'T RESPOND TO EMAIL. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOLLOW UP. THEIR PRICES MAY BE BETTER BUT NOT WORTH THE HASSLE TO MAKE A CLAIM. I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN FROM TIRE RACK AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! YOU CAN'T LEAVE A REVIEW ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THEIR SITE ONLY ABOUT THE TIRES! WHAT A JOKE.

Astounding shipping time! And darn good pricing to boot. They have a wide selection from road tires to mud-bogging tires. A+.

Hello
October 15, 2014

Hello,
I have to tell you about my order from Tire Rack:
Shipped 09/02/2014 out of Delaware.
The order got here fast and I was happy with the tires and rims with free mount and balance.
I had recently replaced the struts on my car and wanted to replace the rims and tires at the same time.
After installing the new wheels and tires, I noticed that the ride was quite bumpy.
Thinking that the car had a lot of miles I diagnosed it as bad wheel bearings and replaced them:
Same thing - bumpy as heck.
Now one of the bearings was bad for sure, but when I replaced them I noticed some pretty uneven tire wear on these new tires.
So I diagnosed as tie rods.
Changed inner tire rods and outer tire rods, had the front end alignment done:
Same thing real choppy ride.
I replaced the lower ball joints, and had another front end alignment done: I had paid Firestone for the all you can eat, so no additional cost:
Same thing choppy bouncy ride.
Well, it must be the CV joints; I will have to replace the axle.
"Hold on" my wife said.
"Everybody I talk to says it's the tire balance" she informed me.
"Yes, that is the obvious thing to check" I countered. "But what you don't know, is that these particular tires were mounted and balanced on new wheels from Tire Rack"
"They were already balanced professionally by experts"
Well to make a long story short:
My wife was right.
I took my car to Walmart to have the balance "checked".
I asked to speak with the tech when they had finished. I asked him: "Were the tires were out of balance?"
"No" he replied, "THEY WERE WAY WAY OUT OF BALANCE."
My question is:
How do I ever live this down?
I mean I spent the last 5 or 6 weekends lying in my driveway throwing on parts that I really didn't need.
And the worse thing is -- It was my wife that figured it out!
Did you get that? MY FREAKING WIFE FIGURED IT OUT!

I have bought tires from them for years--probably five or six sets, plus two sets of rims. This site makes it so easy to see what your choices are, combined with other users' product experiences to make a more informed buying decision. Inventory is up to date, the shipping lead times are prompt and they'll dropship to your tire installer, so the entire. When you do have a question, the toll-free customer service puts you in touch with a knowledgeable advisor who (in my experience) is capable of resolving technical questions to prevent errors when ordering.

I bought some tires from them for my car. The site is easy to use. Shortly after placing the order a costumer service rep called me stating there were problems with my card and that my order was placed on hold. She asked if she could go over all my information and make sure everything had been typed correctly. The problem was a typo error that I had made! So, oops on my part, but I was so thankful on their part for actually calling along with sending me an email explaining that my order had been placed on hold. Since a tirerack.com rep called me to check my information I was able to get it all corrected and my order was shipped out that day and was recieved the next day! I was so excited to have my tire put on and car going! If they had not taken the time to call it would have been a day before checking my email and realizing there was a problem with my order! Great customer service!

I always order my tires from them (after getting a recommendation from my dealership). I do the research, then get the tires from the them since they are always the cheapest. I have the tires sent to the dealership/mechanic and they put them on for me. It's much cheaper than any other places I've seen.

Avoid ordering from their website. If they send you the wrong tires, they will not credit the amount of shipping (both ways) if you return it. This is even in the case where it is their error. They also are claiming an unrealistic amount for shipping and are turning a pretty good profit without selling the customer anything! When you try to call their customer service, they are also rude.
