Careful

Bought a Nikon lens, filter, lens hood, soft case, and lens cleaning cloth from Ted's on eBay. Missing lens hood, soft case, and lens cleaning cloth. Could not give a negative or neutral review, blocked. Told by customer service to check package again for missing items. Beware

I ordered a Nikon d5600 camera package as a Christmas gift for a family member on 11/29/19 for 663.38 through the google marketplace. I received the order 12/10/19. However, prior to its arrival, I learned that I had ordered the wrong camera. The shipping box was opened upon receipt but none of the individual package contents were opened or removed from the box. The camera was not touched. The original shipping carton was resealed and returned within the advertised return date (12/16/19). The store refunded only half of the purchase price (331.69), claiming that the "item was received in deep abused condition." I contacted the google marketplace for help but after numerous communications was told that they could not override the seller's decision. A google search reveals that I am not alone in being treated this way by Ted's Electronics. I would strongly recommend against anyone buying from Ted's Electronics or through the Google Marketplace.

Do Not Buy
November 12, 2018

I purchased a Nikon camera and the seal on the box from Nikon was broken. The camera's SD card reader is defective rendering the camera unusable. I called Ted's and the woman had no idea what I meant by an SD reader. She then asked me to email pictures and never responded. I had to call back again with no help.

My boyfriend bought me, through my eBay account, a Canon Powershoot Camera from Ted's Electronics. It came with some weird kind of charger which didn't fit the camera, so the camera was unusable. For two weeks, I tried to get the correct return information and then on the last date eBay allows, they got it to me after talking on the phone with them. They then called Bay (right after speaking to me) and got the return cancelled because the 30 days were up. After returning the camera (I put it in the mail within an hour of receiving a return authorization over the phone and by email, FINALLY), they told me it was too late to get any money back. I then called them and they said they would refund, but they only gave 68% of the money back. They are sneaky, sell used items and their customer service STINKS! December, 2018

Terrible run-around
February 26, 2020

I ordered a camera through Wal-Mart and they had it shipped from Ted Electronics. When it arrived, the display screen was cracked. I contacted Wal-Mart customer service. They told me Ted Electronics would contact me with details for an exchange. After many emails back and forth with Ted, including pictures sent of the cracked screen, they ended up telling me I would have to go through Wal-Mart for an exchange. I am stuck with a broken camera and getting nothing but the runaround from both Wal-Mart and Ted.

Worst experience in my life! Ordered a camera with missing parts. Took one week to receive only one missing part. I'm the other missing part they told me they weren't going to do anything about it! How is this company still in business. Terrible!

Excellent service

I have had at least three orders filled with this company and they are wonderful. Best service on the internet, in my opinion. Communication is great, deliveries have been early, the products have been professionally packaged and have been exactly what I ordered. I highly, highly recommend this store. This is the first place I look and is my go-to for anything my camera needs.

Poor Customer Service
December 31, 2020

Purchased a Canon PowerShot SX 620 from Ted's. The box had the wrong components - European connectors instead of American. Sent them photos 3 times and instead of correcting the mistake and sending the proper components, they sent a workaround part that does get the job done, but it is still not what I purchased. Will never do business with Ted's again!

Then Nikon camera I purchased was was shipped out the same day as my purchaser. I received the camera at my home in Florida in 3 days. Prices for the model I bought, Nikon D5600, was considerably lower than all other sellers that I could find. Great service and great prices----a hard combination to beat.

Whatever you do, DO NOT order anything from Ted's. I ordered a Nikon 3500 digital camera and it was delivered with a cracked display screen. Ted's refused to allow me to return it unless I paid the shipping. They sent me a broken camera and then they wouldn't take it back. Stay as far away from these crooks as you can.

They sent my broken head phones. I sent them back and they gave me a refund. They then charged me for them again because they were not in the original packages.

The product I purchased was a necessity in these days of physical distancing. The item is on special price at this time -- the shipping is over twice the amount of the item (not a camera). My goodness! That seems too expensive. Just wondering whether there is a covid-19 surcharge.

I always knew "you get what you pay for." but@ TEDS ELECTRONICS you get a lot more! Looking into thetedstore.com the prices appeared too low, too good to be true. But after placing my 3rd order, i once again proved that TEDS is really here to serve customers and assure 100% customer satisfaction. All three orders arrived very well packaged and their customer support was great, both prior and after purchase. We exchanged one of our products of which was followed up with Lisa T who really cared. Their items are all Genuine, Authentic with 1 yr. Warranty covered by TEDS. Thumbs up, thank you!

Buyer Beware
August 13, 2018

I ordered a Canon camera. It arrived with FOR JAPAN ONLY. Not intended for sale outside Japan. Also the spring for the auto lens cover was faulty so it did not close completely. Called TEDS & they would repair it for a cost. Notified Canon Co who said it was under warranty if just purchased. Canon could not get a replacement part but sent me a new replacement camera. TEDS claimed the product was NEW.

Excellent Customer Service

D3300 purchased in September 2017 - fast approaching the 1 year anniversary and warranty limit. The camera had been shooting way underexposed for some time and I was heading for a vacation. Camera is a must! Ted's received my D3300 and turned around a replacement D3400, for a small fee, in days! They made my day, and vacation. I am highly impressed by there responsiveness - accepting responsibility for the camera and providing such a timely replacement. I would continue to recommend them. Thank you Ted's!

I purchased a Canon SX420 camera from Ted's. I chose it, so it was my mistake. The 420 is the poorest excuse for a camera since the Brownie. Actually I think the Brownie is a better camera. Anyway, I called Ted's and voiced my complaints and Lisa suggested the SX720 was a much better choice for my needs. I purchased the SX720 and returned the SX420 for a full refund. The only thing that could have been better is if they would have paid for return shipping. However, since it was my mistake, I can't complain too much.
