My order never arrived, and I have been unsuccessful in getting a refund.
The Bay does not seem to screen or vet their sellers, and there doesn't seem to be any repercussions if they're faulty or a scam.
Terrible customer service. Required about a price of an item and was told to go scan it myself. Salesperson could not be bothered to help me. Planned on doing my Christmas shopping there but just ended up leaving the near empty store. Extremely poor. Will not return
Waiting for a refund for an order made November 29.
Since that time I have lost four people to age and cancer which shows how slow the refund process works.
This once proud Canadian icon gives worse service than a dollar store... my apologies to the dollar stores.
Do not shop here as there are many better options.

The day The Bay was sold to the US, this once great company went down hill. Americans have no class, remember their Target fiasco? The site is now using American spelling and it's offensive they want to gather details about your body including your race when setting up a profile. Appalling. We need to stay Canadian and not be absorbed by the horror that is below the border.
I love the Bay! Yes, it is true that there are fewer sales people around, but those who are are unfailingly polite and over 90% do their best to be accommodating. I particularly wnt to commend 2 women at The bay downtown {Georgia and Granville, Vancouver} Angelina and Leila. Or is it Layla, are stellar employees. They always go the extra mile, brimming with good humour and a positive aura that is infectious. While they both work in fragrances, Angelina assisted me with a Dyson hair dryer purchase that was a bit challenging. Layla was very kind with a perfume purchase. I have bought handbags and found the staff knowledgeable and helpful, Women's wear, on both the 2nd and 3rd floors, the bedding staff are also very proficient. I think any negative reviews must be one offs. I only hope that The Bay never leaves

I did not have a good experience today at Lancome beauty Hudson Bay Chinook mall, instead I went to shoppers drug Mart beauty boutique and bought channel, the saleslady in shoppers drug mart was very helpful and great costumer service.
I ordered two sets of Hotel Collection towels from the Bay's online store. I have purchased this brand in the past because of its quality. However, these ones were anything but good quality. I thought they felt lighter and not as thick as previous ones, but gave them the benefit of the doubt and prepared to use them by washing them. I was shocked to find clumps of lint on the inside of the washer tub when I opened it to put them in the dryer, but then after they were dried, the dryer's lint trap was overfull, absolutely stuffed with a mat of lint. The towels had pulls and hanging threads in several places. When I contacted customer service, they told me that they were a final sale (true) and could not be returned. When I complained about the quality, they told me they would give me 10% off. When I replied that I wanted them to stop selling sub-standard items as a quality line, they said I could have a $10 gift card.
Completely and utterly unsatisfactory. It seems they are now selling junk as if it were the same quality as years ago. I won't be shopping there, online or in person, again.
I will absolutely NEVER shop on line at Hudson's Bay... I returned items totalling in the neighborhood of $500.00 in December and am still waiting for my money to be credited to my card! I call almost every week asking for my money and keep getting pushed off... DO NOT WASTE your money here... you would have more fun seeing it flushed down the toilet! I wish they had a minus rating... that's what they would get from me...
The worst online shopping experience I've had in years.
Ordered a big ticket item at a discount, with an offer of an additional discount if i applied for the credit card. Did that, but there was a technical issue with the application which delayed the discount.
Finally got it sorted, then order never shipped.
Emailed customer service who responded days later, then a few days later i received an order cancellation email.
I am now out the discounts, which i can no longer get since it's not black Friday.
It's like they're trying to lose customers.
I paid over $300 for 2 sets of their Gluckstein expensive house brand of sheets. Within a year both fitted sheets were shredded. I had never used bleach or misused them. I spent 6 months being ghosted with every attempt to get help. Finally they looked at the sheets and agreed that should not have happened but because I used them, they couldn't take them back.
I bought (expensive) pyjamas from Hudson Bay, advertised as manufacturer "Black Brown 1826". I purchased these because I had bought the same product six months prior and was satisfied. However, the actual product delivered was labeled "Sterling" not "Black Brown". In addition, I always wash new clothing before wear and after one wash these pyjamas literally fell apart... the interface material used disintegrated. Hudson Bay's response was to advise that they do not accept returns of clothing that has been washed... not surprising if this is their normal quality! They were aparently not concerned that the product delivered was not the same label as the manufacturer advertised. They offered a gift voucher, equivalent to 20% of the cost, for my problems. I will NEVER purchase from Hudson Bay again.
It is impossible to complete a purchase on their website. Nothing works properly, prices seem to change by the second, the shopping bag page takes ages to load. Please fire the people in charge of your site/eCommerce and start from scratch!
Placed an online order back in Jun, they send me a wrong product. Since then, its being a extreme challenge dealing with the so called customer service agents at the overseas call center, who provided the awful service. Been promised for a call back from a manager several times, but no one bothered calling to get this fixed.
I had the worst experience with returning an article with Hudson's Bay. It's been 2 months that I returned a pair of boots and never received a refund. Today I had to call 4 times. They are fooling around and not giving me my money back. This is ridiculous. Never buying there again.
Went to make a purchase of ~$100, should be free shipping, but no.
Some of the items were from their third party sellers and charged separate shipping fees.
I had emailed & complained, but they basically said "that's the way it is, too bad".
Is the Bay now the new Walmart?

The customer service here has caused a lot of stress and has wasted much of my time. They first respond by saying they'll help with your concerns, then ghost you. When you send a follow-up email, they'll either continue ghosting you or say they lost the original ticket complaint. This is unacceptable. Customer service must always be diligent and competent for any business to succeed.
I returned the item as requested and tracking number confirmed that they received it but nothing happen since then (no refund - no response). Of course, I sent an email and they mentioned that they will respond to my email within 2 or 3 days, but again, no news from them. What kind of business treats their customers that way? The amount of my invoice was more than 600$ for multiple items. Very disappointed.
Having shopped at this store for over 5 years, I have nothing but good reviews to give of the Hudson Bay store in Nanaimo. The Manger Maureen Richardson, is superb in her leadership of employees and very understanding. Whilst the employees are courteous and go over and above in order to provide a superb customer service or order a product. Recently, Elizabeth in cosmetics not only assisted me but was dedicated in seeking further information. As promised she later took the time to call me be back with this information later that afternoon.
In Nov. 2021 order a coffee maker and 2 months later still did not receive it! Ask for refund in early January, still did not get my money back as of Jan 28! Never deal with Bay again and advise everyone stay away from bay online shopping
Brothers and Sisters, be careful with placing online orders via The Bay, specifically ordering things from ABA Labels. This company is supported by Hudson Bay.
The order was delivered after 35 days but promised 7-10 days! I got an apology though and I was offered to send it back (it was a Christmas gift) and pay for the return. Then after probably another 60 days, I will receive a refund... they will evaluate the condition of a package, etc.
Well, there are many decent and reputable places to order any good clothes from, thank God!
Be careful, they will not respond to your inquiries and will just place a note to your order that it was delivered, even though it would not. You will invest some money in their start-up business but not receive what you need.
Answer: They are a legitimate company which is managed poorly.
Answer: After calling them several times many of which I was put on hold only to be disconnected I finally get through to a representative. Not an easy process at all
