Had the most incompetent unprofessional doctor on the call, Anthony Luis. The call lasted all couple minutes. He did not ask any questions, and the diagnoses he put in was the most ridiculous one, he did not even discuss with me. It seems as he was just rushing to send me off some place else and cut the call as soon as possible. 2 hours later received help I needed from Sesame. Would never use Teladoc again.
Login never works - it seems to default to not recognizing your user id and password. If you try to reset your password, it loops you through a minimum of 6 emails where you click reset password and it just sends you back to email to do it again. If you call customer service, be prepared for rudeness and no help at all. Then, if you manage to break through those barriers, you can expect to wait in a queue for 3+ hours. My advice? Just go to urgent care.
I relocated from Buffalo, NY lived there my entire life up to 34 & am 35 now) w/ my husband & our 4 daughters down to Tampa, FL. After the struggle of switching everything to here, getting to appts is hard bc my husband works 6 (usually 7) days a week & we share a vehicle. Health Ins. Informed me of Telehealth options, & since Jaunary, I've been using it & have nothing but great experiences with each doctor, each appt. I highly recommend them & don't be concerned w/ privacy at all! Thx Teledoc!
This is about Teladoc, not about any providers I've encountered.
Setting appointment: You select your time zone and the available times are displayed. You select one -- and it defaults to CDT no matter what zone you're in. But you don't know that until it confirms your appt. Time in CDT.
Customer support: Seemed great, and the lady took down all the information and seemed interested in helping me reschedule my appointment (since I couldn't figure out how to get it done at the right time in the right timezone), and she said she would escalate the issue to tech services. Well, she didn't reschedule it for me so I had to move other things around on my schedule AND be available in case it was rescheduled and I just wasn't notified.
Site/App: I'm writing this at 12:16 pm on 8/12, and my page still has an invitation to join the waiting room for my appointment that was yesterday at 4:00 pm EDT.
Providers: Here's where they excel. I've had two calls for Rx refills and one nutrition consult. All three providers were excellent.
So I had a mental health appointment for today at 11 A.M, it was 10:45 when they messaged me to cancel it, you believe that? I've been going THROUGH IT lately & NEEDED that appointment, & they canceled MINUTES before the actual appointment. The first experience I had with the first doctor I spoke with was GREAT, No issues at all helped me ALOT. Then, THIS. I guess it's not even the service or site, not even the place but rather the DOCTOR specifically that you gotta give the bad rating too. Anthony Bell I believe was his name, mental health visit. How unprofessional is that? My anxiety is through the roof so bad I've FELL to the ground from being so WEAK, Heart racing so fast that's why I love telehealth, because it's way easier for me to do. I'm just in shock he canceled minutes before the appointment I mean WOW. That's unreal especially with how bad things have been for me I've been WAITING a few days for this appointment & now I gotta try to squeeze in with a doctor who might actually care.
I repeatedly requested they delete my account. I've never used their services. They won't respond and won't delete, or tell me how to. I tried changing all my info with fictitious data, but they won't let me delete prescriptions or insurance info. DO NOT TRUST THEM. You have no control over what data they keep on you.
My daughter had a telehealth visit with a practitioner yesterday regarding a very sore throat… the symptoms appeared to indicate strep throat which she told him about. He was very dismissive of her symptoms, attempted to tell her she was not really sick and the picture of her throat didn't look so bad. 8 hours later we are at urgent care because the symptoms got worse. She tested positive for strep and flu B. This practitioner need to turn in his license. My daughter was treated with ABTs and steroid injections. She feels 1000% better. No thanks to this awful telehealth organization.
I had a severe reaction to a prescription and they would not give me a new one without a new appointment and charging me again. Awful service. Very disappointed and bad customer service. Also, rude. What a scam to steal peoples money. Shame on you.
I scheduled a telephone appointment for a prescription refill. When the provider called me, he was incredibly short with me and disinterested in anything I had to say. We spoke for no more than 25 seconds. I got a call from the pharmacy an hour later saying that the provider had prescribed the wrong amount and my insurance would not cover it. There was no way to get back in contact with the provider, so I called the general customer service line. After explaining the situation once, I was disconnected. After explaining the situation again, I was told that Teledoc can only prescribe one-month of my medication at a time (again, this amount is not covered by insurance, so I would have to pay full price). Teledoc did not make this limitation l known to me before they took my $50 of course, and they would not do anything in terms of a refund because "prescriptions are not guaranteed". Misleading and a waste of money.
We used the service they said they would call in a prescription and never did, they won't refund my money and they said to book another appointment. And pay another fee, because on their end they don't see where a prescription was given. The doctor said they were going to call in a prescription and even asked do you want us to call it in the Walgreens, which is the pharmacy in your profile!
My insurance clearly state that Teledoc visits are $0. However, Teledoc will not honor it. They blame Blue Cross and of course Blue Cross blames them. So bottom line is no care. And they do not care. Money has become only concern of service providers.
I set up an appointment because I had been treating ringworm with an over the counter cream for 3 weeks and it wasn't working. I assumed it would be easy to explain how I have been treating the issue and get a referral for a prescription strength cream. Instead I paid 50 dollars for a "doctor" to call me and tell me everything I already knew about treating ringworm from a quick google search. I was then told I didn't need the prescription strength cream and to continue with over the counter medicine. It is insane that they are ok with charging people money for such subpar treatment. I feel totally scammed. You are better off using google than wasting your money on this company. 0 out of 10, I'll never use them again.
Called in and set appointment. $49 later, Teledoc provider called me back and instructed me to perform home covid test and call back with results. When I did, I was informed that I would need another appointment and another $49 fee to complete my care. This is not about care, only about getting funds from my employer, then ripping me off for additional funds. In the end, in sick at home with no care. Thank you Teledoc, for what I'm sure is your standard of care.
Does not work well because they get paid by call. They keep the visit very short, so they can get paid for the next one.
1. Teledoc Dermatology is great just answer questions and send photos. No appointment needed. No video and no call. Best Ever!
2. Teladoc urgent care is not so good. They bill themselves as a 24/7 service problem is providers only want to work non business hours. So I waited 5 hours at night an no one can answer until the following.
3. I was sent to teledoc by my insurance and waited 3 hours for less than 1 minute with the doctor. He just said that I'm fine. Did not answer questions. Another time I got a provider telling me how great she was, but she would not focus on what I was calling about. My info was 2 years old and she told me I was on stuff I was not. Just a crabby old lady provider.
Told me I didn't know my own body and I know I've got strep, and a chest infection and refused me the meds I know I need to get better. Needed antibiotics. I was refused.
I know Teladoc has a shares tumble over the years after COVID but now their response times are atrocious. Just over the last 2 or 3 days I have tried to reach a provider and have been in the queue for wait times in excess of 2 hours each time, resulting in my abandoning the session. These excessive wait times combined with provider no shows have made this service unusable
I've been trying to schedule a mental health visit with these idiots for 2 months now. *2* months. And every single time, the therapists confirm the scheduled visit...THEN CANCEL IT. I honestly don't get it?!?! Where do they find these slap$#*! people? Oh, I was mistaken, my FIRST appointment, the therapist was a straight up no-show. No message, no cancellation, just didn't show up. Hung out in the video call like a dummy for 20 minutes. Unreal. Pay the extra money, go find a REAL therapist somewhere else. I dunno where Teladoc are contracting these feebs but if they can't even show up to an appointment, it's probably not worth your time.
March 24,2024 I called for help with a double ear ache and all over generally feeling bad. Trying to connect was very difficult. Took several trys. Their system wouldn't let me hear the Dr. I explained I have a history of ear infections and am familiar with treatment. He ignored me. Insisted I had a sinus blockage that was affecting my ears. I'm 68. I know my health and my sinus cavity was normal. I also told him I can't take nasal sprays, they make me vomit. He argued. A patient firmly states nasal sprays induce vomiting and he argued and insisted? I gave up. Spoke to my long time pharmacist who agreed the spray would have induced vomiting and would have no affect on an ear infection/inflammation. Asked why that "dr" had prescribed. Waste of money and putting unnecessary chemicals in my body. He hadn't asked a list of meds I take. What if there had been an an adverse reaction or combination? This is dangerous-a man passing himself off as a medical Dr? Who was he? An actual medical Dr or perhaps some sub speciality not accustomed to ordinary issues? He also didn't ask many common questions. This service is questionable as they hired and used this man.
Apparently, the doctors working at this facility have two different set of rules. I had a UTI and so did two other employees with the company that I work for. They called and was able to get medicine. I called two different times and was told they cannot prescribe medicine for a UTI. That was the rules and regulations they go by. What a joke! If one cannot get help why can others? When symptom's are identical with all three people? By the way, I have had one before and I know this is what I had. Thanks for causing me to go have to send $70 to get help.
If I could, I would put -1 star.
You will not get ANYTHING from Teledoc. Absolutely the worst. I used them once and did not get any help. The doctor said he could not give a prescription for a common issue.
Two years passed, and I decided to give them another try on another (different) common problem. Exactly the same result. The doctor said according to Teledoc rules, she had to refer out.
What do they actually do? Nothing but collecting the $$$. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. NEVER AGAIN WILL USE TELEDOC. PERIOD.
Answer: It seems legit for the company but many providers just use it a a conveyor belt to get 1 minute visits paid as a whole visit. They obviously are paid by call because they are so rushed.
Answer: It depends who I got. A few good people, but mostly impatient reps.
