They list a variety of illnesses they treat with UTI being one of them. My wife setup an appointment and was told be the Dr that she couldn't be helped and needed to go to her local urgent care. We called Teladoc to get a refund since the Dr literally did nothing and we're told no refunds once you accept the appointment. Well, we took the appointment with the assumption that she would be treated. Total scam and these people should be put in jail!
Teladoc as a health platform lacks professionalism and expertise. Therapists on the platform are, for the most part, good. The technology is abhorrent. The response of Cust. Serv. And IT is pathetic.
After being with two agents for teladoc that could not verify my insurance number. They made a dummy account for me and charged me 49 dollars instead of 10 dollars. I told them i needed a antibiotic for a UTI. She said there was a possibility they would refuse a prescription but looking on their web site they never precribe a antibiotic. She should of told me this was a waste of time to go farther in the process. I will never use their service and I deeply upset with them! Just another clip joint!
The reason why you hate the US wealthcare system is embodied in that garbage teladoc: There is nothing good about this place. Their pseudo doctors don;t even diagnose you but they keep telling you what you have is beyond of what they can do - really? Is bronchitis beyond what you can do and if it is then you should collect canned food you worthless- the government should shut down this business and revoke all their degree mills.
The Teladoc.com site is not working; it keeps loading and loading. Phone support is very hard to hear because the phone keeps breaking, and the representative is not native.
I dont know how they have such a high rating on Trustpilot but look at BBB and you will see the truth.
Had an appointment on May 17 and paid co pay of $20. The provider spent less than a minute with me stating we can not treat animal bites. You must be seen in person by a provider. Thus, never received an assessment or treatment. This is not a matter of receiving any meds or not liking my treatment or outcome. This is a matter of being illegal to charge a doctor visit for no assessment or treatment and should be considered insurance fraud. Loooking at BBB, this is obviously a very common occurence with your company. I looked prior to booking and I did not see any explanations of your policy of what is and what is not treated virtually but yet, your pre written refund policy is frequently and conviently used after the sessions to decline any and all refunds. A policy of what is clearly treated should be easily accessible and listed online to patients prior to scheduling a visit.
In additition, I called two times asking for a refund and the only response is we will get back to you. We need to send it to the appropriate department. There is no supervisor and no email to voice your complaints. You are denied any other access of communication. A few days later, an automated email was received with the standard response of their refund policy with no consideration of individual cases that do not apply to this policy.
*****Please reconsider your business ethics.
I paid every month trying to get an appointment with any doctors in California, they "make you choose" from their schedule but you have to wait until they accept it or not, 3 different doctors deny my request (more than 10 appointments denied). Finally a guy from this company called me after leaving a bad review about this experience and not even him could helped me, he told me that they weren't enough doctors in California and that I had to wait. One year paying on time to get nothing. They definitely are scammers because they "offer services" without having any doctors that can help you. THE WORST EXPERIENCE!
Hello. I have systemic lupus erythematosis and I constantly take a steroid cream called clobetosol. After they have spoken to me a few times got to know me in my medical history, now that my case has gotten more than the basic limitations of what you normally see they are refusing treatment. I don't mean normal I just mean very basic. They've only ever given me skin cream in a couple of antibiotics before when I had an ear infection. I pay my insurance digilantly and they are refusing treatment to me. I've practically begged on my hands and knees for a antibiotic it's not like I'm asking for drugs I'm literally asking for treatment. Begging over and over and over again for them to help me. I have Amber of Georgia and they are refusing treatment
It's a roll of the dice if you get a good doctor or not. Some will be like your primary, listen to your complaints and history, prescribe meds and give you work note. Sadly most are quack reading from guidelines given to them by Teladoc. I called for a chronic sinus infection I've had the condition for years, recognize all the symptoms and know what meds work and what don't. The quack said no antibiotics since only been 3 miserable days and to try nose sprays for relief lol. Was this guy a resident or intern? I tried the explain to the quack I've tried all that years ago and it don't work. Primary prescribes the only meds that work told him the name of antibiotics but he refused and said go see your primary or go to emergency room! What a quack! If I could get in to my primary why would I call Teladoc! Lol. And the emergency room for a sinus infection really? You don't think they have more urgent cases? What a waste of time. Thankfully with my insurance it was free. And totally got what I paid for, nothing!
Not worth the added stress for no relief. I think after 53 years in my body knowing what conditions I have that are chronic to be dismissed like that is ridiculous. He didn't even listen to past history which is a big part of the whole diagnosis process. Beware of quack in the box apps or suggestions. Overall mostly a huge disappointment and no real medical care given just lame advice you'd get from an intern.
It's very hard to contact anyone/reps are nasty and untrained/customer experience is horrible/and the rep named Jessica was a the worse of them all! I actually had to ARGUE with her today in the middle of a bipolar episode seeking help! DO NOT RECOMMEND!
My daughter tried to use Teledoc for mental health care. The doctor changed her medication. Mental health medication needs to be checked on for side effects, etc. Some of these side effects are life threatening. The doctor requested a specific follow-up appointment date that worked for her, (the doctor,) and confirmed it three times. My daughter cancelled her work to stay home to take the call. The doctor never called and then cancelled 15 minutes after the visit was supposed to begin. Teledoc said that she had to reschedule with another provider, even though mental health meds should be managed by the same person. She rescheduled and the person who called was not able to manage meds. This has put my daughter in a situation where her medication may run out before she is seen. We have to find another doctor, pay for new patient fees, and hope that the medication is appropriate. We had to pay $180 for one short visit with no follow up through Teledoc. We were also charged an additional $85 erroneously.
STAY AWAY.
I had appt < 24 hrs after my wife got seen for same exact symptoms and got antbio only to be told i was unvaccinated and i told her I would never get vaccinated her whole demeanor changed. And she refused any other medication or advice for the same exact illness which my wife is now recovering and I was refused care because Im a vax denier. Teledoc needs to fire this doctor
I paid more than $70 for consultation which they refused and they refused a refund.
I filed a complaint with a BBB and they sent me three automated messages telling me just to accept it that they weren't going to pay me back and then they called me to tell me the same thing
I paid to speak to a doctor, if I'm not allowed to speak to a doctor I need my money back
On June 12th at 1pm, I paid $75 to Teladoc Health, Inc. for a doctor consultation due to a two-week-long cold that has progressively worsened. During the consultation, I specifically mentioned using nose sprays, cough medicine, and expressed the need for a stronger treatment to alleviate the cold. The doctor acknowledged my request and assured me of ordering a prescription for antibiotics, steroid nasal spray, and additional cough medicine. However, upon attempting to fill the prescription, I discovered that there were no antibiotics included, only over-the-counter medications that I already have. When I reached out to Teladoc Health, Inc. again, they insisted on an additional $75 payment to see a different doctor. Despite explaining my situation as a sick Veteran unable to leave due to the fires in NYC and being on a budget, their response displayed a lack of concern and understanding. I am reaching out for urgent assistance in resolving this matter. I kindly request your intervention to ensure that Teladoc Health, Inc. addresses their failure to provide the promised prescription and their unsatisfactory customer service.
I called with a UTI. I tested positive for a UTI with AZO. Doctor said he could not treat me because of my age. I'm 59. I'm on the phone for less than 2 minutes when he tells me he can't treat me because of my age. They charged me $55 for a 2 minute call. That's $1650 an hour. Doctor said to call and the Business Office to get a refund that they were "easy to work with". That was a lie. They refused to refund me. IT'S A SCAM! NO ONE SHOULD MAKE $1650 AN HOUR! Then I go in to look at my visit summary and the doctor diagnosed me with Dysuria, painful urination. I NEVER EVER said I had painful urination! I have an UTI.
Today, I had a teledoc virtual/teleheath appointment. In an effort to be connected with the best provider for my visit, I had listed my symptoms in the questionnaire prior to my appointment so that I would be assigned the best provider to consult with. I had even written that my visit was to obtain a prescription for an MRI due to my symptoms which I had described in the "pre-visit" questionaire. Once their doctor had connected with me, I was told I needed to see a specialist. I felt ripped off. I had written in my pre-appointment reason for the visit, that I wanted a prescription for an MRI because I was having neurological disorders. Instead of someone from Telehealth saying that I should see a specialist, they continued with the Telehealth appointment with a PCP that did absolutlely nothing for me but charge $89 due to me not having insurance. The actual Telehealth appointment lasted no more than 3-4 min and I felt as though I totally wasted my time and money. What I learned in this process is that I should have seeked out free clinics which are everywhere in Maryland. They will do better than this ripoff of Telemedicine on this website. Don't make an appointment. If you don't have insurance, Google free clinics in your area first. I got ripped off and if I can save you $89, glad to do it.
I have nothing but trouble and long waits with this company. The app and the website keep rejecting login and password (that was saved in my phone from sign up!) as well as security questions that I KNOW are correct and was verified as correct by the agent. I waste more time pacing through their broken system before I can speak to a human than I do talking to a dr.
I ask for a video visit, get a call and the dr doesn't even want to look at the infection, orders a stiff antibiotic. The anti biotic gives me a serious headache and some nausea, so I borrow from my supply of anti nausea Med but I'm running out before the antibiotics are gone. The next dr said go to ER to get tests done because he won't prescribe any anti nausea to finish the course of antibiotics. Second dr says stop taking those if they give you a headache. So what about the phlebitis? Just quit hey? F—-ing genius.
Been told repeatedly not to stop antibiotics in the middle of the course.
I find Teladoc to be frustrating, time consuming, glitchy, and overall unhelpful, but the company seems to insist we talk to them before seeking urgent care.
I don't recommend them. I don't feel ‘cared' for that's for sure.
Do not use for mental help. You will not receive a response, it will get canceled or the provider will not show for the appointment.
They didn't want to give me antibiotics I've had a cough for two weeks they said it was asthma it wasn't. All they want to give me is cough pills that's it or u gotta have a fever. Nonore
THE PEOPLE WITH TELADOC ARE NOT WITH TELADOC THEY ARE WITH NEXREP A WORK AT HOME JOB! THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ABILITY TO HELP YOU WHAT SO EVER THIS IS A SCAM AND A PIECE OF $#*!
Answer: It seems legit for the company but many providers just use it a a conveyor belt to get 1 minute visits paid as a whole visit. They obviously are paid by call because they are so rushed.
Answer: It depends who I got. A few good people, but mostly impatient reps.
