I like the fact that swappa is so good with having pictures of the actual product your buying, they give you 30 day money back guarantee, all shipments come with tracking and insurance.
If item or items don't come out as described when you receive the product you can file a claim.
I have only had one one bad buy and I knew it was a possibility with the Google Nexus 5x phone. Don't know why I bought it since I had one with boot loop(which it's known for).
Used Swappa for the first time this week to buy a replacement phone after my husband ran over and crushed his with the car. The phone still worked so I was looking for screen repair when I came across Swappa. Turns out it was cheaper to buy a replacement and Swappa made the experience so easy and painless. I've used many online shopping sites, but hands down, Swappa is the best-designed site I have ever come across. They thought thru every question or concern and answered it before I even thought of it... the process flowed so easily. Big round of applause for the developers. I wish every site on the web was so well designed.
If you are in the market for a gently used celphone or tablet there is NO other place on the internet worth looking. Swaps.com has the guarantees you are looking for and all the devices you could ever want. I have shopped here since their early days and can say without any reservations this is the best place to find an unlocked/used device anywhere in the world. I've purchase many phones and tablets and Swappa's system guarantees you get a device that is clean, functioning, and not Stolen! Don't hesitate to shop there, you won't be disappointed.
The first phone sent out had an issue. However when I contacted them about it they sent me a new device out immediately in exchange for the old device. I'm very grateful for their excellent customer service.
I just bought an iPad 4,32GB on Swappa for less than they were going for on eBay.
I've bought and sold many things on eBay, but I've had some bad experiences selling phones. I've had several people win bids on phones and then not pay. It's a big headache and you have to relist and wait another 7 days to sell. Swappa takes the risk out, the products are guaranteed to work and you have a safety net against fraud. I recommend it to friends who want to buy used phones and tablets. Way safer than Craigslist or Facebook yard sale sites.
Bought a cheap Moto X that was good quality. No problems with the exchange AT ALL! It activated with my carrier as soon as I was able to do that and I'm now enjoying it greatly. I highly recommend to anyone who wants an inexpensive mobile!
I was a little skeptical buying from Swappa for the first time but after doing some research I went for it. I am so glad I did! It was the easiest transaction ever, great seller, great email notifications, and the phone I purchased was in much better than advertised condition. I was highly recommend Swappa to anyone who loses or breaks their phone, or just someone who wants to save some cash!
Got exactly what I wanted for a fair price. Arrived in perfect condition exactly as described and pictured. Bottom line: prices like Craigslist but without the sketchyness. I even got the original box
Swappa handled the transactions very efficiently and answered questions quickly. The first phone I purchased was dropped before the seller could ship and had to refund my money. Second purchase the seller did not respond and we had to initiate a refund with pay pal. Pay pal took ten days but they were easy to communicate with.
Third purchase was smooth, no issues. Finally have a great phone.
I have bought numerous and i mean numerous items on Swappa and only had one problem ever and that was the fact that the seller said something had more memory than it actually did. They check IMEI numbers of all phones listed on their site to make sure there are no activation locks, iclouds, or unpaid bills attached to the device, before allowing it to be listed. They require real photos and Paypal covers all purchases made through them. Love the site and will continue to use it.
I have purchased 3 phones through Swappa and the transactions and communication have been great. All 3 phones were in perfect working order and as good or better than described. In addition, all were shipped and received in a matter of days. I only made purchases from people that had positive reviews, as I felt that would lesson my chance of having any issues with receiving the phones or receiving phones that were not as described.
I stumbled upon this website in my search for a new phone, and am really glad that I did. It was easy to find the phone that I was looking for and any of the listings I looked at were verified by Swappa staff which made me feel more at ease about purchasing a non-new phone. Users also had a history of their transactions available which made purchasing a phone from here a really easy decision.
Please do not waste your time by interacting with Swappa customer service agents. Unfortunately I had to deal with a person named Patrick and he was suggesting me the ratings that I need to give to a seller when I have issues with my phone. I followed their review guideline but he was asking me to give a 3 stars to the seller. I had given 2 stars. Very rude behavior. Please never buy from here.
Hi Sam,
Like our support team mentioned, we provide guidelines on how to rate sellers - you can find them here: https://swappa.com/faq/answer/feedback_star_rating_guidelines. Your rating did not follow our guidelines, which was why we asked you to adjust your review. We are happy to assist with any questions or feedback you have - feel free to email us at help@swappa.com
I wanted to upgrade my galaxy and kept checking into Ebay for the right model and the right time to strike a deal. I never seemed to win the auction on Ebay. Always missed it by a few dollars. I started looking at Swappa and noticed the sales there were brisk but I did not have to hunt too long for just what I wanted. I got my new phone with case, extra battery and 2 chargers without worrying about the auction and what time it was closing etc. A little misstep at first was the fault of my carrier. Everything worked as stated. I'm glad I found Swappa.
In the short amount of time that I have been buying and selling phones on swappa I love it. It is much safer than craigslist and easier than eBay. Always tons of pho es at great prices and there is a really good community of sellers and buyers that communicate with you. If you ever need to buy or sell a used ohines this is your one stop shop.
Swappa is a great site with trusted sellers if your in the market for a new or slightly used device this is a great site to find just that with direct contact with the sellers you can haggle and ask any questions you have before you decide. It comes highly recommended by me for whatever that's worth.
I sold a phone as described in "good" condition and uploaded photos based on Swappa's guidelines. The seller received it in a timely manner and a day later demanded a refund and posted pictures of a device that did not match the quality of the phone I sent. The he issued a debt collection through paypal. Swappa told me to accept the return, which may very well not be mine simply based on the photos they provided. This is contradictory because they allowed my device to be listed, but would not
Permit the buyer to list the phone on their site if he tries to sell it in "good" condition. Very deceitful and unprofessional of Swappa.
Alex, if the device was listed in good condition when it was actually in fair condition, then the seller is responsible to it list correctly. If the device was received in a condition that wasn't as described in the listing, then the seller is held responsible. For questions, please email our support team - help@swappa.com.
My wife fell in love with a friends iPad and wanted me to replace her Android tablet with one. I googled for iPad 4 and came across the Swappa site. Well, I'm glad it did. I found a beautiful iPad 4 for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Great deal. I'll go to Swappa to check on electronics in the future before going to other online stores. Highly satisfied user.
The website's search facilities work pretty well to filter results to just what I was interested in. However, subscribed to email updates appeared to ignore the filter selections, making them less useful. Moderators make sure item descriptions are complete and accurate, so the item I bought was as described by the seller.
Started using this site a year ago after hearing abounit on android central. Love the way it's set up and it's way cheaper to sell a phone on here than ebay which charges 10%. For a $500 phone that's 50 bucks. Swappa only charges $10 no matter what. It's also a lot safer because they check the serial number to make sure it's not black listed.
Answer: Hi Neisha. Swappa is quite safe! Please see the 500+ reviews on this site referencing the safe and pleasant buying experience that is Swappa. Please email help@swappa.com if you have further questions. Thanks for using Swappa!
Answer: Hi Peggy. If you receive a device that is not as advertised then you can return it for a refund. Our policy is that simple. Swappa staff works hard to prevent problems from happening, and PayPal has extensive buyer protections in case they do. Buy with confidence. Thanks for using Swappa.
Answer: Hi Alfred, Swappa requires all users to provide the ESN number for each device when creating a listing as a verification step. For more questions, please email our support team - help@swappa.com Thanks!
Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
