While I appreciate the site for what it is - a place to buy an in-good-or-better-condition phone with verifiable pics and possible extras for a great price - I still find myself frustrated by the shopping aspect itself. A filter and sorting system would make it phenomenal. Imagine being able to sort based on price, or only looking at phones ranging from a certain price or based on ram or space total, etc.
It sucks being in the market for a "new" phone and having to sort through what's outdated, what's too pricey, what doesn't have this or that or whatever.
My Note 4 was listed for sale on Swappa last year. The buyer purchased it through Paypal. I verified that all his information was correct before i shipped it. The phone was insured with a tracking number. Guy said he never received the phone. He put a claim in with PayPal and they saw in his favor. I lost my $300 phone, shipping costs, and my PayPal account was frozen and had a negative balance. Swappa was no help what so ever. I've never dealt with Swappa again, not for selling or buying. No thanks.
I just finished my first swappa purchase and was very impressed. The site has a nice clean UI with all the necessary details. Very simple to converse between buyer and seller. Swappa provides a step by step process to inform both parties of current status (payment pending, item shipped, etc). And best of all being able to purchase a phone for a great price.
I have only bought 2 things from Swappa, a phone and now an iPad 3. Both items were exactly as described by the sellers. Both were shipped and received quickly. I LOVE this site. I have children and they break things and lose things so not having to spend full price on a replacement is a Godsend to my wallet. Very user friendly site.
Swappa is great for people who want a decent used phone for a fair price. They ensure that you see the exact phone you are buying. No stock photos allowed. The sellers are all verified and the prices are competitive. A wide variety of phones are available. This is the first place I will come for cell phones or other electronics from now on.
The staff of Swappa seems to do an excellent job of ensuring that the phone listed is as described. I generally don't buy phones new, and have always gone the eBay route, but there's no one at eBay watching your back, and it seems the same goes for sellers, too. I got the exact phone I wanted in great shape, at an excellent price.
Best and first place to buy and sell cell phones. More accurate descriptions from seller than on eBay. As a seller fees are also lower than eBay. Swappa also confirms phone is ready for activation, something that you have to weed through on eBay because eBay allows sale of any phone, even stolen ones.
In my opinion Swappa is the best online reselling and buying website. They have lots of buyer and seller protections and they also clearly lay out the steps and requirements. I've never felt uncomfortable buying or selling from people. Their help staff are also very quick to respond and help. It's very much appreciated.
We've purchased now a couple of times from Swappa and can't be more happy to have had dealt with the sellers on this site! We found out about Swappa from my brother who has had great experiences as well. I highly recommend Swappa to purchase with confidence used items in excellent to fair condition (you choose the condition you would be happy with) and you get exactly what you ordered from experienced power sellers with great customer service!
As with the other 30+ transactions on Swappa, it's one of my favorite sites to do business with mobile devices.
Swappa is severely lacking the ease of use that could be brought forward with native apps. I am not sure why this isn't done already... you are wildly successful and could become more well known by having an app in the App Store and the Play Store.
I recently bought my second cell phone on Swappa. I rate this site 5 stars. Both were great experiences and I had excellent communication with the Sellers. This second phone was a Christmas gift for my husband new in the box. I suggest that if you need a replacement phone or want to purchase a new cell phone with no monthly payments, then check out Swappa.com
I have been on Swappa for a couple of years and have had many transactions, both as a buyer and a seller. Fees are reasonable for sellers and it makes a good deal for buyers as well. You know that if you buy or sale, your transaction is guaranteed. All phone or tablets are checked for financing or blacklisted. Again, this is my go to site.
I needed a used cell phone but the thought of going to Craigslist or Ebay terrified me. I found out about Swappa from an online magazine that said it was one of the safest ways to purchase used electronics. For me, it was hassle-free! Lots of great selections that had all met a number of Swappa standards that made me more confident. I was also glad that shipping costs were included in the price as well as Swappa's fee: the price you see is the price you pay. I bought my phone on Friday evening from a buyer in San Francisco. It shipped to me in Kentucky and I received it Monday just as promised! It was great having Swappa's checklist to make sure everything was working properly. I will use Swappa again in the future!
