I have bought 2 phones and sold 1 phone using Swappa. Have had great experience every time. The phones are lightly used in some cases but clearly stated in the sellers description if necessary. Last phone I bought was in great condition. The best part is the prices for the phones can't be beat. I've tried using Craigslist, Ebay, Gazelle, etc. and none are as easy and offer the fair prices I've seen on Swappa. Just posted another phone for sale today. Very easy! I also recommended to my friends and they are just as surprised at how easy and inexpensively you can get the phones.
Swappa provides a great platform for sale and purchase of electronic devices. I got a S7 Edge, near mint condition, and I could trust the purchase because swappa stands behind both sellers and buyers. Super cool. The $20 fee pains me though. LOL I wish it was like $5 to be honest.
I have just purchased my third iPhone from Swappa. I've used a different seller each time but I have been extremely pleased with the service and communication from each of them. If you need a smart phone, do not hesitate to buy from this site.
I have sold a number of items on Swappa and purchased three phones there. Each experience has been positive and smooth. Swappa Help, if needed, is super quick and attentive. I've purchased from private and trusted sellers and had good results both ways. With each transaction, I've shopped my options and ended up back at Swappa. Great site!
I haven't used a site like Craigslist or eBay in ages and I've never used Swappa before, but the process was very easy and straightforward, and I felt confident spending my money with them. I'll be using their service again in the future. Definitely recommend.
I had broken my beloved Motorola N6 with a first class idiot's drop. Enter Swappa for a replacement. So easy to navigate the site to exactly what I wanted, with a range of prices to fit all needs! Being able to interact/negotiate with the seller is a HUGE bonus too. Buying was streamlined, delivery took just 2 days, and all the while I had the excellent staff at Swappa looking out for my best interests. Win/win all the way! Thank you Donald L and the entire Swappa network
I had never sold an electronic online before, and swappa.com was highly recommended via online reviews so I gave it a shot. It was extremely easy to list my item for sale, they gave recommendations on pricing based off what had sold on their site recently, and they use secure payment through PayPal. Once listed, I was given the option to also offer a local meet up for the transaction, and Swappa provides a list of secure meeting sites. Overall, I'd highly recommend using this site to sell any electronic.
I saw the site around for years and wondered if it was too good to be true but after doing my research and finally completing a purchase over the platform I have to say, this is awesome!
I love my new phone and the sense of security I get from PayPal's included 180-day Purchase Protection. I can't stop raving about how smooth it all was and will definitely be ordering more!
Never heard of swappa but needed a phone quick and didn't want to pay full price for a new one. Found ample of items that fit my need and just sat back and watched for the one I wanted to fall into place price wise. Had a phone a few days later. Will be doing more buying and maybe even selling in the future with Swappa.com
I have never been an early adopter, if you dont mind used tech go here first. I've purchased smart phones & watches from Swappa. I have never been disappointed in my purchases. Never received a piece of junk or had to deal with shady characters. When I'm ready to upgrade, Swappa is my first stop.
Can't say enough good things about Swappa. I've sold 5 items through this site and every experience has been top notch. It is so much easier and safer than eBay or Craigslist. Highly recommend SWAPPA!
Ting recommended selling a phone on Swappa, but I ended up buying two phones. The site is so easy to use and gives you all the information you need to feel like you're making a safe purchase. What a great find!
TWICE I have been burned by sellers on swappa. First one I bought and paid for a phone and the seller cancelled because they "changed their mind". Swappa could care less and did not ban this seller.? I did get a refund but swappa was NO help. Second time the seller refused to ship or provide a tracking number and again swappa does not give a sh*t. Credit card dispute initiated. Back to ebay for me or the back alley at midnight--anything is better than swappa.
Everything was fairly simple. At first I was a bit hesitant just because I wasnt familiar with Swappa and to pay a good amount over an Internet transaction made me a bit uneasy. Main thing for me was just to find the right Seller and I did. She had fantastic reviews. Super fast shipping and the product came as advertised. I've heard good things about Swappa so it made me feel more comfortable and it seems like they have everything well organized and secure.
Bottom line, i came to swappa to buy a quality device. 3 separate unrelated issues were discovered after sale that were not disclosed in the item description. A) spots on the LCD B) receiver quality issue C) battery not properly holding charge.
To me that seems to be exactly opposite of what you advertise :(
I've bought two phones through Swappa.com from two different sellers - a Galaxy Note 4 and an LG G5. Swappa requires a photo with unique numbers the seller has to include to demonstrate that the phone in the pictures is the phone being sold. I feel safe buying from them because they have a system set up to essentially guarantee the phone being sold is the phone I'm going to receive, in the condition the seller claims. They have an excellent customer service system and response time, and are paying close attention to each transaction. Both transactions I've done at Swappa.com were smooth. The phones I received were exactly as the sellers described. I feel a LOT safer buying at Swappa than Ebay, by far! And I've saved hundreds of dollars. I won't buy a used phone anywhere else.
My first experience with Swappa was a *total* success and super experience. I'm a *LONG* time eBay users for my phone buying & selling. I can only speak as a buyer at this time but I must say that the whole transaction was fabulous. The seller was in constant contact and Swappa's website made it super easy to communicate with him. I look forward to doing all of my phone/tablet business on Swappa!
Felt very comfortable using this service to buy an IPhone and I'm normally an Ebay fan. Ebay had too many phones in a wide variety of conditions and prices. Condition here stated mint and the price was no hassle and what I wanted to pay. The rules for listing a phone here are very strict and using my paypal account made me feel very comfortable. Shipping was lighting fast, 2 days, phone was in described condition and I was able to activate it an hour after receiving it. No hassle, good communication and package tracking. Will shop here again for sure.
Beware and read all the fine print! If you buy the wrong thing, such as an "unlocked" phone but it is actually locked and I cannot use it with my carrier they became very defensive and declared it was advertised accurately and too bad for you... It makes us very suspicious there is something wrong with the phone because of how argumentative the seller was and how little they care about customer satisfaction. I will not buy from swappa again and caution others about this. There are other sites with good customer service.
Im new. I read good reviews. I Purchased an Iphone. It spent 2 weeks in the mail going back and forth among 2 to 3 states and I still have not received it as of this post. Swappa gave me my $10 fee back but seller doesn't want to refund my money until they get the phone back. They offered me $30 partial refund and keeps telling me phone is coming. They said they made mistake with address. I have been patient and polite for 2 weeks and all I want is a refund. Today I log onto Swappa and my purchased history is erased but I have no refund. So I feel like Swappa has no power when there is an issue. The customer is instructed to go through Paypal. Im just going to buy from T-mobile. Other people have seem to have better luck than I. So that's my story. I can't recommend them.

Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
