I use to be pleased with this company till last month. I place an order for $ 42 and some cents. To say the least, I only got two of my five items. I sent messages after asking where the rest of my items were. I never got a response back. I am totally DISAPPOINTED. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!
Every time I've used Swap they've been very efficient. And if I ever need help they are on it right away and very courteous. I highly recommend Swap to anyone on a budget, you won't be disappointed.
I have two great gran kids that I have found super bargains during every season of the year. The outfits are as pictured and arrive in separate plastic bags; labeled; and always clean!
The store has SUPER QUICK shipping. The product was wrapped inside the box with a thank you. Very good customer service. I appreciated that. Product was received as described. Will do business again!
I normally don't write bad reviews. Truly. But I sent 26 items to them to consign after thoroughly reading all the fine print. I only sent 26 as a tester to see if I enjoyed the timeframe/efficiency and to gauge whether or not the time spent was worth the return. I'm glad I only sent in 26 items.
Half were rejected, which I expected - and I chose to donate them. I got an email confirmation of the donation but only that they were donated. They do not tell you where, when or how - nor do they give you a tax receipt. I have a feeling they just go on their clearance rack to be sold.
I set the price for the accepted items, a little higher than normal because I understood that there was a 30% commission fee plus a $1.50 cost per item. Which would leave me with about $0.60 per item after it all is said and done... So it comes time for my pay out and it says $0.00 because at the END OF IT. They charge you an INBOUND FEE.
Let that sink in.
After all the fees, they take up to a month to send you a payout which winds up being ZERO. They're getting consigners new with tags/gently used items for free and then selling it to other people for cheap because it costs them next to nothing. That is also why they don't ask for your checking account, or a preferred method of refund once your items have been accepted because they don't intend on paying you at all. I will never ever ever ever use them again. Shameful.
So happy with this site, a site that finally provides you an opportunity to sell your clothes without taking a large percentage off the sale. Equally fun to shop on. Thanks you SWAP.COM!
I had a lot of baby clothes and maternity clothes that I wanted to sell, without the trouble of photographing and ironing each item myself. In the long run, I don't think I really saved myself time, and after the cut that swap.com takes, I could have made a lot more money. I contacted their customer service dept months ago for three reasons: 1) I had taken the time to arrange many of the items as sets to increase the amount I would get back, which they completely ignored when receiving the items. 2) A lot of my items were really badly photographed, wrinkled, low res. Etc. 3) They actually LOST about a dozen of my items. There were probably more, but 12 that I could remember putting in the box that they didn't photograph. After the fact, I wished that I would have counted up the total number of items, not that it really would have done any good.
The battle with their customer service dept has gone on for months. 21 emails have been exchanged, and they still haven't found my missing items or provided any sort of resolution. I couldn't be more frustrated and disappointed with this company. Dealing with them has been a huge and fruitless waste of time.
I was browsing on Swap out of curiosity. Although I wouldn't purchase on this website unless you know how a brand fits your size. They don't give enough details about anything. Knowing a size of a package is not the same as knowing the size of a pair of pants. Swap had a pair of jeans listed just called "Jeans". Absolutely no brand, no information, no measurements, no details. How are people supposed to know to buy this if all you're telling them is that it's a size Large?
As a consumer, I would highly recommending researching before purchasing from Swap. It seems like the prices are comparable to brand new items at certain stores, so why bother purchasing from here? I get if you live in an area that doesn't have stores available, but buying things from here, you're going to run into the risk of a complicated return.
On top of that, I wouldn't sell to them either. Their process seems close to criminal as ThredUp. $11 to process the items as a flat fee, that is fine and I'm willing to accept it. But 30% and $1.50 on each item? And on top of that, reject most of my items I sent over? No thanks. And I always thought eBay ripped me off on fees, but this website here is a winner. Again, good for buying, if you know what you're buying, and know you're not getting ripped off. However, bad for selling; in which case, if no one sold to them, they would have no inventory. Good!
The clothing, I receive was just the way it was picture at a fraction of the cost. Lovely, no wear on the material & just right!
Thanks swap.com
Will be recommending to friends and family.

I have bought several items from swap.com and have been 100% satisfied. The "condition of the item" as described for each item I have purchased is spot on. I will be shopping again at swap soon!
First time buyer on swap.com and I must say I am very satisfied. The quality of the items at such an affordable price. Will be recommending to others and become a regular buyer. Thank you swap.com
I sent in a 20lb box of clothes that was received in July. After they had it for a while, I got an email that they were delayed and would be more like 90 days instead of 60 days to process. After over 100 days waiting with no response, I contacted them and they didn't know where my items were! I ended up finding over 40 of my items under another seller's account! When I informed them of this, they said they needed to check with the other seller to see if they were their items? HOW DOES THAT WORK IF THEY DIDN'T NOTIFY YOU WHEN YOU PUT AN EXTRA 40+ ITEMS UNDER THEIR ACCOUNT TO BEGIN WITH? It is now just shy of FOUR MONTHS and they still have not fixed this or reimbursed me. I don't even know what items were rejected and never got a chance to have them returned. THEY ARE CROOKS. STAY FAR AWAY
I've been successful selling on Swap because I buy nice ladies' tops for 50c to 99c and almost always profit. I just checked the site and found that they changed their SureSell feature. That's a feature that enables the seller to sell immediately to Swap. A garment that they would normally pay $1.50 for, to the seller, is now listed at 10c. The highest amount Swap will pay for one of my tops is 13c. I will no longer sell to Swap. They can store my garments until they sell - no matter how long it takes. Swap may as well discontinue this feature since it is worthless.
Hello Dee,
We apologize for any frustrations with our SureSell feature. This feature provides a nominal fee for items if you don't want to wait for them to sell. Please know that your items may stay on our site to sell, and we do not charge you any storage fee.
Sincerely,
Swap.com
I purchased an item from swap.com on my credit card and returned it since it didn't fit. Their policy says refund unless using a website credit. They won't give me a refund.
I have had two shipments from them and am very happy with the items. The return policy is easy and they pay the shipping costs. I will definitely be shopping here again.
Buying from this site is amazing! But selling is a total disappointment! I sent in a full box and 3/4 of it was rejected. The reasons listed ranged from undervalued, strong odor and pet hair. First, I don't even have a pet, so there is no pet hair on anything I sent in. After receiving my rejections via ups, which I had to pay to get back, I inspected everything. There was no odor, unless laundry soap is offensive. There was no hair. And if your item or pair doesn't have a value of $3 (to them) its rejected. I look at this site everyday. There are items just like ones I sent in listed for more than $3 and my same items were rejected. Before I received the rejection box, I had sent in 2 more FULL boxes. Today I got an email saying they had added something to my account and guess what, it was a rejection. I regret sending them in. When I sent my firsts box in the fees page said $1 plus 10% for each item is what they make. Now after I sent in more, they have changed it to $1.50 plus 25% per item. I'm being ripped off! I wish I could just have my stuff back! I will continue to buy, but after this, will NEVER sell through them again!
The clothes are just darling and in great shape.
The cost was better than expected. My
Grandaghter just loves them. I did all her
Preschool clothes shopping on Swap.com.
Thank you!
I was fortunate to have found swap a little over 2 years ago, I have made quite a bit of money from selling with them, and recommended them to everyone. I am no longer able/willing to be one of their consignors, nor would I recommend them to anyone. With their recent changes of pricing your items, processing times and random "Sales" it is just not worth it. In the past few weeks Swap has run numerous sales, which is great, but I did not agree to having my items both reduced in price and marked down on Sales (they have repriced many of my items, so anything in sets of 2 and 3 are pretty much reduced to their pricing structure of 1 item). In the past couple of weeks I have had brand new (tag attached) Gap, Carter's, Nike items sell and have received a payout of between. 77 cents and $1.51 per item... ouch... when you add in the shipping fee you are charged of $11.90 for the box, you will need to be VERY careful as you might end up with just a few dollars from a huge box of beautiful items.
A great site to buy from, especially with their new pricing and sales structure, but eventually they will run out of sellers with beautiful new and like new items that are willing to sell to them.
Swap.com makes it easy to look chic and classy without spending alot of money, quick shipping and wonderful inventory! Will continue to shop here weekly!
I needed a maroon velvet shell to complete the outfit for my nephews wedding couldn't find it in any store or website
Found it on yours it was perfect came in a timely fashion still with a tag on all for four dollars
Heartfelt thanks for offering a great service

Answer: I have only placed one order so far. I ordered 10 blouses. I returned 5, due to size issues. All 10 blouses were nice, but 5 did not fit quite right due to different manufacturer's. You need to get an RMA # for returns. I was promptly refunded my money for the 5 blouses. I would order again in the future. I am not aware of any return quantity restrictions. Hope this helps.
Answer: If you want to sell clothes, all the information is on their website. Basically, they get a percentage and then they pay you thru an existing PayPal account that you set up.
Answer: Hi Patricia, We are on about a 55-60 day delay in processing inbound shipments. When your items are processed, you will be notified via email that they are ready to be priced. Have you sent an email to our support team at assistance@swap.com yet? A member of our team can look up your account information and give you a better idea of exact when you can expect to see your items. Thank you, Lauren Swap.com Support Manager
Answer: Same here, I sent a box in June and have received nothing nothing saying it was accepted or rejected absolutely nothing. I've sent 5 emails and nothing. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Answer: I don't think so. I've sold and from my experience it varies. The things that I thought would sell first, haven't sold yet. It varies by what people are looking for at the time. I've bought all different seasons at random times. I buy by what's a great deal. When selling, group like items together. I've noticed multiple things sell first.
Answer: Hi Jo, That is correct. You can return items that do not fit as long as you request the return within 30 days. We will send you a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send back your return free of charge. Once the return is received, we will refund your card within five (5) business days. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at assistance@swap.com. We are happy to help! Best, Matt
Answer: There's no way for them to go over prices. They have to see the items and determine from going over it, if it's acceptable, once it's accepted, then you have to determine the price you want to sell it for. You could try searching on their site for similar items and see what they are priced at. I did notice when pricing my items that I'd get a little notice with recommended prices, which was very helpful. I didn't have a good experience selling but many others have. Make sure you take pictures of your items, that's very important. I appreciated that their site is set up to allow you to take back your items if you changed your mind about selling them. I'm in the process of getting back my items. Hopefully it works out well and I get all my items back.
