Purchased 4 tickets for baseball game for $107 and noticed on my credit card statement 2 days later I had 2 charges for $107. Normally not a problem just called stunning figuring in 5 minutes it would be handled. Brian at stubhub said it was 2 transactions and I have 8 tickets. I said I only purchased 4 tickets. He said you will have to sell 4 of them your self. I said the tickets cost $58 for 4 but was $107 with fees. So if I sold the tickets I would lose $49 based on value. I said I only bought 4. He said there was a!omg gap between 2 transactions. He said 3 minutes. First time I confirmed order I thought it didn't go thru then had to fill in info again. I did not actually purchase 8 tickets. Asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me no. Was on the phone with him 38 minutes and 24 seconds per my phone. And his final statement was you need to sell the 4 extra tickets your sef. I asked 3 times to speak with a supervisor and he refused. Very rude and unfriendly person. I thought it would be handled easily in a few minutes with the double charge but not so. Called my credit card company and in 5 minutes they said they would cancel payment for duplicate $107. I will never purchase ticket thru stub hub again.

Last January I sold two Taylor Swift tickets to a buyer on StubHub for a concert occurring on October 20. I sold the tickets for $3420 total. In their email to me, StubHub said you must transfer the tickets, provide proof of transfer, and from there, regardless of whether the buyer accepts the tickets or not, you will receive your payment.

I successfully transferred the tickets to the buyer on Ticketmaster and the buyer accepted the tickets. I uploaded this proof to StubHub and believe that was all set to receive my payment after the concert. The Ticketmaster tickets were no longer mine because they were in the possession of the buyer. I was supposed to get paid the 3000+ dollars after the concert within 5 to 8 days the concert. It has been months after I have filed several claims the case has been escalated and I have still received no payment. The AI feature on StubHub website told me that the payment was canceled for some reason. I never received any form of notification from StubHub.

They told me that the buyer had difficulty getting into the show, I had already successfully transfer tickets. The buyer had accepted them. I did everything I could in my power, the tickets were no longer in my possession, and as far as I'm concerned, legally, I am entitled to receive payment and they are withholding money. In the screenshots, I will provide you see evidence that the buyer accepted the tickets. I transferred them. I even reached out to Ticketmaster who confirms the successful transfer and acceptance of the tickets, and I also provide evidence that StubHub provides contradictory information at one point saying I just needed to transfer the tickets and in another message saying, a later date that I had to have uploaded acceptance, which I still did regardless. Thanks for your help.

I feel like StubHub is operating unethically here by withholding my payment and I would like to receive my payment of $3420.

I recently had a harrowing experience that has left me feeling both frustrated and scammed. I had put tickets up for sale a year ago and for personal reasons, I ultimately decided to cancel but forgot to take off stubhub. I expected a straightforward refund process, especially since I hadn't even sold the tickets. To my horror, a month later, I found a charge of $1,335 on my Visa card from the company, which I was under the impression I no longer had any dealings with.

What followed was a series of phone calls and emails to the customer service team that can only be described as a nightmare. Each representative I spoke to seemed to have a different take on the situation, and I could not get a straight answer regarding the status of my refund. Each time I reached out, I was promised that the money would be returned to me—yet, here I am, still waiting for resolution.

The lack of transparency and communication has been incredibly disheartening. It honestly feels as though they are playing a game with customers, keeping them in the dark while holding onto their money for no valid reason. The runaround I've encountered has made it painfully clear that once you hand over your money, their commitment to customer satisfaction vanishes.

I am left feeling vulnerable and ripped off by a company whose business practices are, frankly, concerning. I hope others considering a transaction with them approach with caution, as my experience suggests a troubling disregard for ethical customer service. At this point, I can't help but wonder if they intend to keep my money indefinitely.

In summary, this has been a truly scary experience, one filled with stress and uncertainty. I wouldn't wish this ordeal on anyone, and I strongly recommend seeking out other options for ticket purchases to avoid the frustration I've endured.

Shady high fees hiding.
October 12, 2024

Their app is designed to hide the fees and to automatically scroll the final cost details up so you click continue. I did because every company shows you at some point the fees. But them hiding it by giving you a scrolled up page is very deceiving and I just lost $320. Btw, the fees were $99 for$220 in tickets! Avoid them at all costs. Theres a bunch other platforms that make a better job at being honest. They are being sued right now because of shady practices, no surprise so avoid. The order id ******* if you wanna confirm. $99 dollar fees is just crazy. I show in this youtube video how they obfuscate. Notice how the "review order" button just takes you to another button. You have to move to the upper part of the page to see the total fees. Very predatory mind trick move from them and then their staff is condescending when you say you feel scammed.

Shaddy website
October 7, 2024

I ordered tickets for a hockey game. When I received the confirmation email I noticed the the seat number did not exits. It gave me Row 35 and there was no such thing in that section which was Section 119. I wrote to the Better Business Bureau and went back and forth for almost 2 months with BBB regarding StubHub. I could not communicate directly with the "seller". When I had picked the ticket online, you pick from a seat map which was Row 5. The best I could get back from BBB is the seller said it was Row 28? This is a huge difference from Row 5! BBB would not do anything about it. I paid a lot of money for a ticket that I would of not bought if I knew is was going to be Row 28 and not Row 5 as I was lead to believe. Shame on StubHub and shame on BBB. I will never buy a ticket from StubHub again.

StubHub Scammed Us
October 1, 2024

Do NOT use StubHub! I bought tickets for The Eras Tour last year and when we downloaded the tickets they were the incorrect date. Then we contacted customer service and they gave us the option to either keep the tickets and receive a 900$ StubHub credit or return the tickets and they would replace them with better tickets for the right date. So we decided to get the better tickets for the correct date and the options they gave us for replacement tickets was STILL the wrong date and the tickets were BEHIND THE STAGE! So the customer service person lied to us about receiving better tickets! Then we contact them again about how we payed a fortune for those tickets and that a fully obstructed view was not acceptable and they said those were the only options. We wanted to just get back the original incorrect tickets we received with the 900$ StubHub credit. However, the customer service person said there is no way to get back our original incorrect tickets because they were returned to the seller. So the only new options are to get a full credit refund to buy new tickets or accept the horrible seats behind the stage. The refund would be great but now, a year later, tickets are much more expensive and we'd still have to spend an extra 500$ minimum for new tickets. Please do not give StubHub your business they screwed us over, wasted so much of our time, and scammed us out of our tickets. I will never use stub hub again.

Never again
August 30, 2024

I used the platform to buy tickets for a baseball game! Since I went to the wrong city, I put the tickets back on sale! Not only was it complicated because both the app and the website were constantly bugging, the system kept bringing me back as if I had to re-enter the information! Finally! I created the same ad 7 times! I called support to have the duplicate ads removed! First of all, it is difficult to chat with a human member of their support, but also between two lines they take 2 to 3 minutes to respond! They ask for the same information as if they did not read what you write to them! In the end! They cannot delete duplicate ads on their own platform! In addition, they tell me that they will charge me the price of the tickets to deliver the tickets to buyers who bought tickets for the same seats at the same game 7 times! Bravo to the team! You are professionals!

Listed my tickets on StubHub for sale with the exact tickets number, section, row, etc and were sold. After the sale of the tickets I was contacted and said the buyers had an issue with the tickets. Since then Ive made several attempts to resolve this matter and cancel the sale if the buyers were not satisfied. The customer service I have received has been horrible, ie being told I would receive a call back from a supervisor which never occurred for over 10 days. Instead of retrieving my tickets back they provided 25% discount to the buyers without speaking with myself, even though I requested my tickets back. I would not recommend using this platform to sell your tickets what so ever.

No recourse if you have a problem
July 2, 2024

We bought 3 tickets to a Formula 1 race in Italy. We paid the same price for all 3 tickets assuming they were all adult tickets. When we got to the gate to enter the race we were informed that one of the tickets (that we paid full adult price for) was a child ticket and that we would have to pay $82 to be able to get into the race. Bottom line from Stub Hub... we should have contacted when we found out the ticket was wrong. I recommend that you do not use Stub Hub as there is no way to verify what you are getting until you get the tickets which can be the day before the event and then there really is no recourse for you. Looks like I learned the lesson at a cost!

I had HORRIBLE experience! DO NOT APPROACH THE SITE!
After I bought tickets to a show I could not attend to, I listed them for sale.
Two weeks later I got a notification that my tickets have sold for the price I put them for, so far so good.
A week before the date of the concert, I opened my email to TONS of threats from Stubhub, saying that if I do not upload the tickets, as their customer policy states, I will be charged for either 100% of the ticket's price or for the alternative ticket that Stubhub would have to find in my place.
Confused and shocked, I talked to customer support who said they saw *2 sales* from my account, for the same tickets, at the same date.
I was told that for 1 sale, they uploaded the tickets for me, and marked the other sale as "pending ticket upload"
Let's leave aside the fact that it's even ridiculous that the SAME user can upload 2 listings for the same EVENT, the same SEATS and at the same PRICE. I know that I NEVER made 2 listings for the tickets, but one.
After more than an hour and a half of back and forth with their so-called customer support, they said there's nothing they can do since they see that I made 2 listings, at one point of me begging for help they hung up, saying there's nothing they can do. After talking to my bank company, they said that I could sue the company but nothing is guaranteed out of it.
To sum things up, I:
1. Paid 2,260$ for 6 concert tickets
2. Was charged for the 6 tickets I "Could not sell": 1,000$ - Meaning I got a total of 1,260$ back.
IMO nothing screams out scam more than this.
Be careful!

Never use Stubhub!
May 29, 2024

On Saturday May 25th my husband received 2 emails stating tickets were ready to accept. One order was for $1,089.16 and another for $3,770.94.

These were fraudulent purchases. One was for a fight in Georgia that same night and the other is for one ticket to a Taylor Swift concert in Miami.

We live in Oklahoma. I immediately called Stubhub and reported both purchases fraudulent. We called the bank and shut off the debit card and the charges were still just pending so we had to wait to dispute the charges until they fully processed through.

Meanwhile Stubhub told us these would be escalated to their fraud department.

We received an email back stating they reviewed the purchase and deemed it to be non fraudulent. What?

These are 100% fraudulent! I called them again and the representative said he would send these back to their fraud department. Again these people deemed the purchases as not fraudulent. So long story short, Stubhub DOES NOT have a fraud department and they let someone steal nearly $5,000.00.

Our bank is reimbursing us but the fact the thieves will have no consequences and STUBHUB had ample time to stop these tickets is disgusting!

We have never used Stubhub and the one interaction we have is when someone hacked our account and they did absolutely nothing about it is horrible.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Absolute worst ticketing company out there.
May 20, 2024

Purchased tickets to a concert.
Was notified my tickets were ready and to click the link to accept.
When I clicked the link it stated the tickets had already been accepted by another email address.
I called customer service at approx 2:30PM and was promised I would have tickets before the event that evening at 9:30PM.
I then called back at 4:30PM, 6:30PM, 8PM, and 8:45 PM.
Each time, I was absolutely promised they would send a link so that I could select alternate tickets.
At 9:10 PM, when I was still on the phone with the rep, I received the alternate ticket link.
When I clicked it, it stated, sorry, there are no tickets available.
When I told the rep this, he said there was nothing they could do.
Long story short, they would not replace my tickets, which I had been defrauded from by the original seller, because the replacement tickets would have cost more money.
I asked to speak to a supervisor.
When the supervisor came on the line, I informed him there were still tickets available and he said they would not replace the tickets and that the original seller would be penalized.
Penalized? How about banned?
When I informed the supervisor (Jesus) that I was very dissatisfied and that I would never use Stubhub again, he informed me that it didn't matter because he gets the same salary whether I buy from them or not and then hung up on me.

Beware
April 30, 2024

Beware! This company is a criminal organization. StubHub scammed us badly. We flew from Toronto to Mexico City to see Madonna. Tickets they sent were invalid despite me calling them the day-of the concert to ensure their validity. We were turned away at the gate, along with hundreds of others who also purchased from StubHub and Viagogo (sister companies). Heartbreaking for us and thousands of dollars wasted in expenses to travel there. Don't get scammed like we did.

I recently sold several tickets on Stubhub. One of the sales the buyer failed to provide a delivery address until the day of the actual event (Texas Eclipse). Stubhub expected me to hand deliver to buyer (60 miles away). When I was already at the event (which you cannot leave and return). Informing Stubhub of this, they cancelled the sale and charged me a cancellation fee of roughly 60%. Not only did I have to eat the tickets, but this added insult to injury. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER sell on Stubhub if you dont want to get ripped off like this. The reason they have "Fanprotect" for buyer is because they ripoff the sellers.

DO NOT USE STUBHUB! They let the seller by with selling the tickets on another platform for 4x the price. The seats were midcourt, 9 rows from the floor. Their poor "replacement seats" were in the corners 15+ rows up. There were actually tickets in the row directly behind my original seats, but they would not offer them to me since the price had gone up since my original purchase. No compensation was offered for taking the corner seats. I either had to accept these corner seats or not be able to attend the event. I spent 4+ hours on the phone dealing with these jokers. They do not stand behind the buyers in a fair way. I'm shutting my account down today.

Desastre
February 20, 2024

I do not recommend this site. When I bought my tickets the time of the concert that was displayed on the tickets was 8pm. When we get there we were told that the concert had started at 7pm. We missed one hour of a two hour show. By the time we left it was 9pm on a Sunday so I called early morning the next day to claim my money for what we missed. We where denied any sort of refund even though it was the websites problem. Since we missed half the show so we technically got our money stolen. Sadly, I am now have to take this problem farther and involve my lawyer.

On May 15,2023, I purchased tickets from StubHub for $158.51 via PayPal for "Celebrating David Bowie - Live in Concert (feat. Peter Murphy & more)", which was scheduled for Monday Oct 16,2023.

The show was cancelled and StubHub denied my refund. I filed a complaint with PayPal, which was denied on 11/4/23 BECAUSE StubHub told them that it wasn't cancelled, even though I have an email from them confirming it.

StubHub then stated in chat, on the phone, and email that I would receive a FULL REFUND within 3-4 weeks. But they NEVER have refunded me and EVERY TIME I call they tell me that they'll refund me in 3-4 weeks.

I'll NEVER use PAYPAL and NEVER purchase tickets using Stubhub!

The tickets i received fir a tennis tournament were not for the same session i ordered them for but for a cheaper session. Stubhub had me send back the wrong tickets and continues to tell me they do not have comparable tix to what i ordered available even though tix 1 row in front of what i ordered are on their website. The ticket prices continue to go up as the event gets closer and they keep telling me to trust them, which i do not. Their guarantee is worthless and i will never buy a ticket on their site again and will tell all my family and friends about my experience. Use vivid seats. They actually are supposed to verify tix that are sold on their site, unlike stubhub

StubHub treats their sellers like crap. One time I was robbed because a buyer committed fraud. They offered me no explanation or warning and just deducted the money out of my account. I decided to give them one more chance and when I sold a ticket the next time it took them 11 business days(2 weeks) just to process the payment at which point I'm still waiting what will most likely be another week before the money is finally in my account. So you will either get robbed or wait close to a month to get your money. Sell on SeatGeek or Ticketmaster. Better service for their sellers.

The fees are criminal
February 9, 2024

The fees attached to ticket prices are preventing people from going to concerts.
Stub hub added $150.00 to my ticket price. This should be illegal. People should not be allowed to buy and sell tickets. Why should people be allowed to make a business out of ripping people off?
How about a senior discount?
These companies, stub hub and ticket master should be sued for allowing this resale to go on.
