Two $40 tickets ended up being $120 with all the extra fees. I know this is not specific to this demonic company but anybody responsible for these exploitations on all of these websites needs to be sentenced to getting their head run over by a semi-truck repeatedly. Have a good one!
They lie and change their refund policy as they choose. Once my event was cancelled they sent me an email offering me another set of tickets or my money back. I replied that I did want my money back. They said 2-3 weeks. It has now been 5 weeks and after waiting on hold with customer service for 47 minutes they informed me it would be at least 2 or 3 more weeks. So they can sell all the tickets and take everyone's money with no problem. But when it comes to them keeping their policies they don't care. I will never, ever buy from them again
Thanks to the inefficiency and lack of solidarity on the seller side and their "seller policies" never explained and probably just shown in small letters this Company with deplorable customer services is not accepting any explanations on why I couldn't deliver the ticket was supposed to sell through them.
They do not even give you the option to confirm the sale, they just go ahead without taking if you received the tickets. It is as shame and very unprofessional from their side to do this. I genuinely hope people start choosing different platforms. I will, of course, dispute the charge with my bank as this type of charges are disgusting.
I used stub hub in the past to buy parking for a Yankees game (can no longer do this as of last yr). Got a 75.00 gift card for Mother's Day. Bought 4 Yankees tickets (85.00 each). Stub hub charged 8 for each downloadable ticket and 75.00 additional service charge! Never again. Total rip off. Buying direct from Yankees cost less.
My friend and I bought NHL playoff tickets on stubhub before, and all was fine. I have purchased many MLB tickets off of stubhub often as well with no issues. Yesterday, while trying to get into the hockey game, our tickets scanned as "already used". We called stubhub, and within 20 minutes, we had a refund, and new, better seats. They were absolutely awesome!
Stubhub is completely selfish. They only care about the money and not letting people enjoy the events. They charge you a fee twice the amount of the tickets sold if the ticket buyer doesn't like the delivery method. Who does that? Spent $400, to get charged $800. Makes absolutely no sense. Do not buy from here. Buy ticket master, whatever other place besides Stubhub.
I would give 0 stars for stubhub if possible. When asking for a refund for a concert ticket, originally for June 2020, and official status is "postponed", they would not help at all and only refer to their policies.
No exceptions for COVID.
So I have $900 tickets for a concert for an unknown Date, maybe in 2021.
And my only option of I can't / don't want to go - is to resell the ticket on stub hub so they can make more $$ of the transaction.
Ridiculous. Consumer affairs should pretext us from these business practices.
I was a first time user of Stub Hub. I paid over $500 for two tickets to Hall&Oates. Bought them well in advance and was told I would get my tickets this week. The event is next week. Just got an email saying that the "seller" was unable to produce the tickets, no other reason. Their "Fan Guarantee" where it says they will get you comparable seats was useless as well as they informed me there were no comparable seats and they would simply refund my money. So now it's a week out and there are no more tickets to be found, all my plans are up in smoke and I'm just out of luck. StubHub stinks.
Seller advertised "Orchestra Middle" which changed to "Orchestra Left" upon delivery. Ticket location is different than advertised. I highly recommend purchasing tickets directly from the venue whenever possible. Lesson learned... I paid nearly double going thru StubHub for tickets I could have purchased for half of the price. Fool me once...Not cool.
I recently tried to sell tickets on StubHub and they never answered the customer help line when I had issues. I wanted to fulfill my end of the deal but simply didn't know how. They never picked up the support line, then charged me the full price of the tickets as a penalty for not being able to deliver the tickets. Numerous back and forth with the company simply resulted in them charging me a p[penalty "because they could". This company does not care about you or doing the right thing,. I will refuse to use there services ever again.
Can i give zero stars? Can I state that I'll spend the rest of my life telling anybody I meet that StubHub's customer experience compares to hanging out in a back alley preparing to get mugged? While they may claim to be a lot of things and may be a well funded organization, the end effect of this lousy company and even worse "business model" is scam, pure and simple. I spent nearly $3000 on a ticket that was fake and I only found out at the venue. DId this joke of a junk sale offer an apology or explanation? No. Did they give me a full refund? No. My experience with this company left me completely speechless, for all intents and purposes, you may as well be dealing with con-men in a backroom operation somewhere. Buyer beware - In my experience, they're scam artists and recklessly facilitate fraud for profit. That's precisely what they did to me.
Bought tickets to a Toronto Blue Jay game back in April for a September game only to get an email from them in September telling me the tickets were no longer available. They had my money for 5 months only to tell me sorry you don't have tickets anymore. Sure I got a refund but how disappointing when you are looking forward to something like this. These sellers should not be allowed to take their tickets back whenever they feel like it. I will never buy from stubhub again.
Absolutely horrific customer service experience. Horrible tech. Zero coordination with Ticketmaster/brokers and this will absolutely come back to haunt you. They will say that they will refund 120% of a COVID-affected event, but this appears to be categorically untrue since you have to pursue every bit of fine print in order to do so. Could not think less of the unethical nature of their seller's policies and was not happy whatsoever as a buyer, either.
StubHub isn't like ticketmaster so stop thinking of it as so. It's beneficial to both the person looking to sell tickets and the person that needs tickets. There are disclaimers am over the site explaining ho w it works. If you are stupid enough to spend money on something without understanding what you're doing, that's your own fault.
After reading some reviews about stubhub, I was worried but decided to take a chance. We bought 4 tickets to a COPA America soccer game the same day as the event. We paid for the tickets, printed them almost immediately, and had no problem entering the stadium. Simple, easy, & smooth!
I recently bought tickets to an upcoming NFL Preseason game. I thought it would be a good way for my young daughter to dip her toe into the experience. I searched for hours and bought front row seats, wanting to be sure she could see the game.
When I received the tickets, I discovered that I was given seats nearly 20 rows back, instead of in the front row. StubHub has a guarantee that if something like this happens, they will provide you with comparable or better tickets to the ones you ordered. So I called in and asked them to honor the guarantee. StubHub offered me nosebleed seats in the corner of the stadium and claimed it was the best they could do. I asked if they would at least give me a discount since I paid for front row seats and didn't receive them. They said no - best they could do was offer a coupon for a later purchase or I could request a refund. StubHub is a joke. It does not honor its guarantee. Will never shop at StubHub again.
I just now looked at their site, and they had box-seat tickets for the Pirates' game for sale. By the time I logged into my account, of course, these tickets were no longer available, but they did have many others, tho standing room only. The ole bait-and-switch. What scumbags they are,
I'm disappointed in myself for not reading the reviews on this site first before I purchased the tickets. I got to tickets to the world juniors that I printed off but did they work? Hahaha. I suspect the original seller probably printed the tickets off too and beat me to the line up. The venue said they've had to turn a few people away because of bogus tickets. I called customer service which said they would refund me on 5 business days. I'm still waiting. I'll be shocked if I get a refund. Either way it was a waste of time showing up to the game like an idiot. Will never use them again regardless of a refund that I'm still currently waiting for.
I went on Stub Hub and bought tickets for a St. Louis Blue's hockey game. They were not delivered to my email. I called them and spoke with a representative who confirmed the order and said they would be emailed right over. They lost our order after receiving confirmation. I called back and they said they're automated system made a mistake. The tickets were sold to someone else in this process. We ended up in standing room only having to buy tickets at the stadium. Worst experience ever. DON'T USE STUB HUB!
This is the only business that I know of that will refuse to give you your money back. I accidentally purchased ticket (and Im kinda thinking it was due to a computer malfunction on their end) tickets to a show in San Antonio when I meant to get Midland. So I called back immediately and was told I couldn't even get a credit towards the right show. If I want my money back I have to list and sell the ticket that I dont want. I was told this is the case with every ticket you purchase online. Not sure. Dont care. I'm Extremely upset and want to warn anyone who even considers buying a ticket what kind of business that Stub Hub runs. I personally dont know how they sleep at night doing this to people and taking a hundred dollars from someone for nothing. But hey Karma what comes around goes around. Good luck with your shady business practices. You wont see another cent from me.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
Answer: Some of these sellers do not own the actual tickets so they are buying time to get the tickets from someone else who can't attend the event and wants to sell their tickets.
