The only reason i gave a 1 star is because it wont let me post a review, anyway i was in Maryland and purchased 2 pair of shoes, one pair was some tennis shoes, however they didnt have my size in the store so they called another store and they had it, i filled out the paperwork and supposedly the shoes was shipped Dec. 12th. However, i called to get the tracking number and FEDEX stated it was still at the store. I called the store where the shoe was being shipped and they kept giving me the run around, wouldnt let me speak to a manager or anything, I called the store everyday until I spoke with a manger, finally spoke to Chris he stated he would call around and find the shoe. Well apparently not, i called them back today and now they state they dont have the shoe. I said i need my money back. I had to call the other store and he stated he couldnt find my info, after 30mins on hold he states that he will process my refund. So let's see what happens come Friday.
Please do not order from this company that supposed to be a reputable brand. I ordered shoes in October 23,2020, and we are now in December 2020 NO SHOES! Contacted FEDEX who stated all order issues must be directed to company because they have some type of agreement. However, Steve Madden does not require proof of shipment from FEDEX because they supposed to have some type of coverage.
Well moral of the story is if you have any issues with your online order you will have to go to war to get your money back! DON'T DO IT!

I had ordered the Lawrence Pastel multi shoes about three months ago on a pre-sale. I finally received the box, and to my surprise when I opened it, the wrong shoes were inside. So, I emailed the company with my concerns, and they swiftly got back to me. They apologized and said they can send the right ones no problem, and I can send the wrong ones back with a pre-paid return slip. I happily agreed, seeing as though I still want the shoes I had ordered. The next morning I woke up to an email saying the shoes I had ordered are out of stock and they will send me a return slip for the (incorrect) ones I received. I was confused by this because not only did I receive an email the night prior saying they can send me the shoes I originally ordered with no problem, but when I had ordered them they were most definitely in stock because it was a pre-sale order and I waited three months for them. When I emailed back with this confusion, all I got was a note saying the shoes I ordered were out of stock and they will be sending me a return slip. I am highly disappointed at the lack of understanding and willingness to help paying customers. Will not be buying from Steve Madden again.

Had my package stolen by DPD and they made it exceptionally difficult to get any kind of customer service help. Ignored me for weeks, refused to accept my package was stolen, repeated things to me like I was a 5 year old and couldn't read, gave me difficult forms that I could ONLY PRINT OUT (great for disabled customers and who the F has a printer in their home these days), refusing to refund me and at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they ask for a piece of my kidney before going further.
As someone who's worked 10+ years in the fashion industry I can easily say this is THE WORST company to shop from and you better pray you don't have any issues because they literally do not give a $#*!.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I placed an order on Jun 8th, received tracking numbers on June 9th. They charged my CC almost immediately. However, FedEx never received the package. It is June 17th, and I have not gotten any updates as to where my order is, I am unable to reach them by phone and was pretty much on hold for 3 hours before I decided to give up. They don't respond to emails, their live chat is down, how do they expect us to get a hold of them. There is even no way to cancel orders on their website.
My recommendation: NEVER BUY DIRECTLY FROM STEVE MADDEN! IT'S AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR ORDER! If you do happen to order and see these reviews after, call your credit card company and dispute the claim since you will probably never receive your order. They don't deserve our money!

If I can give lower than 1 star I would. This is the worst customer service I've encountered in my entire life. There are two cases to share.
First case is I ordered one pair of sandal and one pair of ankle sandal which were shipped separately. The ankle sandal was shipped first but was stuck at FedEx for a week without update. I email the customer service and the efficiency is terrible. It for sure is fedex's problem to begin with because they lost the package, which is fine. However their customer service system and practice is just the worst. Firstly, they don't read the email thread so I had to explain the situation 3 times. Such a waste of time. Secondly, worst efficiency ever. They kept telling me it needs to take 7 business days for an update to even decide if they'll ship a new pair when I contacted them at different days more than a week apart. Meaning when I reach them one more time for update it's already been 7 business days which they should've already had a resolution for me. And I don't understand why it needs more than two weeks to even decide if you want to share a pair of shoes to customer when you already know carrier lost the package. It took total a month for me to receive my shoes.
Second case is about return. I was told the return portal is down and they'll have to manually create shipping label for me and it'll take 5 days. I gave them more days and it's been 7th business days. Nothing. If a business cannot stick to their promise, they will fail.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND TO SAVE YOU MONEY, TIME & ENERGY. Sam Edelman is WAY better.

I ordered my shoes on afterpay. I made my first payment didn't receive my shoes I thought maybe I need to pay them off before I receive them paid it off still no shoes I contacted Steve Madden they are telling me it was delivered I explained I never received an email or text and didn't receive my purchase have had emails going back and forth with no help I have asked for proof they were delivered nothing I'm very upset lost my money and no shoes. How do you sell a customer a pair of sneakers. And that same item sell it to another customer. That's what happened to me when I brought a pair of sneakers from Steve Madden Brooklyn location.
I had ordered two pairs of boots totaling over $140. Ordered my usual size and once they came in they were so small I couldn't put my foot in even without socks. Took forever to get a response that wasn't an automated email to try and get it figured out. Once I finally got ahold of someone it was a nightmare to get them to work with me on an exchange. They finally said they would exchange them for a size up so I packaged up the boots and sent them back. A week later I got an email saying that the boots they told me they would send were sold out and that they wouldn't send me anything and just refund my money. Since I used the afterpay for my payment method I had paid my first payment of almost $28 and only got refunded $11 because apparently they charge $7 per pair of shoes just to return them when my intention was not to return, but to exchange. Never going to order off of this website again.

Ordered 2 pairs in 7.5. One pair changed to a 6. Couldn't change the 6 to 7.5 or cancel the order. Cust Service said you can't change an order once it goes through so they tried to cancel the order but sent an email saying we don't know if it will cancel or not. I never got a confirmation whether it cancelled or not, yet they took my money for both pairs. Received the 7.5. Drove to the Steve Madden store to return the 7.5 because they were too big and the register would not accept the order # because the original order was changed by Cust Service who was able to cancel the 6. No communication was sent. Had to call Cust Service from the Steve Madden store twice because got disconnected twice. The store could not take the return. Cust Service sent a return label so now I have to bring the shoes to Fed Ex. What a cluster. Bottom Line: Steve Madden online and Steve Madden stores are two separate entities and don't play nice together. The girl in the store was very helpful and Cust Service from online was very helpful as well, however, Steve Madden needs Six Sigma implemented to improve their processes because they are terrible!

I would truly give this company negative stars if I could. I ordered the travel tan sandals on their website and I was informed they could only be "pre-ordered" aka they charged my credit card in February for shoes they shipped in April. Even though I had 2 day shipping the shows arrived 10 days later (customer service refused to help). The shoes are DEFECTIVE- the soles between the left and right foot are not even the same size by a long shot (pictures attached). What's worse was that customer service was basically useless and tried to buy me off with a 25% discount for DEFECTIVE shoes and said they couldn't exchange it for me because the shoes were out of stock again. Even worse, I've tried posting a review warning other customers to check if their shoes match up and aren't defective like mine on their website and they don't even publish my review... shadiest company in the world. Buyers please make sure your shoes aren't defective like mine- they told me they don't resell defective shoes, yet asked me to send mine back? I will not be a customer anymore. This company is the definition of buyer beware!

This was my first time ordering shoes on the internet. I was greatly disappointed when I opened my package and found one shoe only! I had ordered two pairs but only 3 shoes. I called immediately and they told me they would look for the missing shoe to send it to me only to tell me they could not find it. They would then send me a return label only until they received the shoe they would send the new shipment. That meant time spent on the phone, having to drop off at the post office and then wait again for the shoes. I decided then to return everything. They are now charging me the "handling fee" plus what I paid for shipping is done cost. I spoke with representative then manager and both were worthless and offered a 10% discount on my next online purchase for the inconvenience! Their email system is also reductant. They don't keep track of any of your previous emails and you need to repeat yourself countless times. Customer service is only available certain hours a day not like 24hrs for purchases. Once they got you instead of serving you better as a consumer they treat you like you're nothing. I will never shop on this site again! I hope you don't either! You will regret you ever did! I don't mind when things occasionally don't meet their design or quality expectations however when this happens I expect the vendor to stand up and take responsibility.
This happened to me twice recently - 1) Converse - I send them a picture, answered a few questions and they sent me a code to get any replacement pair from their website. 2) Steve Madden. Same deal however after TWO MONTHS AND OVER 20 EMAILS I've been given the run around from the store to the head office and no one wants to take responsibility aside from giving me a discount of 30% on new pair at full price!
The shoes were over $100 new and lasted around 4 months before the sole started separating from the heel and they started to allow water in as a result.
I've NEVER had such a poor experience with a vendor and regrettably will not purchase additional again.
