I placed an order on ******* which is a Saturday and i understood that it would be processed on a Monday, as of today my bank account is saying that my transaction is still pending, I know that I placed this order because I setup an account with them, I went back to check my order history and it said no transactions have been made, but my account is saying that payment is pending. I've tried contacting them through email, calling and no one is trying to help me. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER, and like I told the lady either yall gone send me my shoes or cancel my order or else I'm taking it to the next level with my lawyer. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I feel like this is fraud. I really need those shoe because my Anniversary is next friday.

Poor management at Steve madden gateway store

The only way to describe the service and management *******@stevemaddensa gateway store. Extremely disappointed with the type of people managing the store. Bought shoes on sat the next day I wore them and my feet were cut and blistered I even took of my shoes and showed my feet to the manager Valerie who isn't even capable of running the store. She with held my shoes saying she would get back to me on Sunday. Today is Monday I had no response from her I called the store 5 times for an update apparently its her day off. I spoke to an assistant manager Logan who couldn't assist me in any way saying its not his problem he doesn't know what to do. 4 hours later still waiting 4 his call back. Now he's on break. My shoes are being with held illegally firstly since I paid for those shoes I dont live in the area and I explained that to Valerie so how are they planning on giving me back my shoes so thats theft. I *******@stevemaddensa needs to find better managers for their stores to maintain their elite brand because these people aren't able to even manage a store and will instead lose customers this way. Extremely disappointed with the service and will never shop there again! The worse part was the service and it seems that these people's have no ability to manage the store or train staff

I ordered 2 pair of shoes on 5/11 "after 1p". I paid for expedited shipping thinking I will get the package by 5/13 the latest as I paid $30 for overnight shipping. The company stated the package is on time and I will receive it on 5/15/23. I'm confused how I pay for overnight shipping on 5/11 but not receive the package until 5/15. I reached out asking for the difference in the shipping but apparently they are saying its on time. DO NOT ORDER / DO NOT PAY FOR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING ITS A FRAUD!

I preordered the Patrina Black Multi sandal on May 3,2021. I received an email on from Steve Madden on June 4,2021 stating that my order had been shipped. It is now June 23,2021 and I still don't have my SHOES!

Today I contacted customer service and the first representative tried to tell me that Fedex lost my shoes. When I search the fedex tracking number provided on fedex website there is no evidence that fedex EVER received the package. Since the first representative could not provide me with a viable explanation I escalated to a supervisor.

Supervisor Robin got on the phone and told me the warehouse confirmed the package was turned over to fedex on June 4th. I explained that was highly unlikely as fedex drivers scan packages as soon as they are picked up. Fedex has no evidence of the package being released to them. The warehouse is simply giving misinformation. They never shipped my shoes.

Supervisor Robin said that she will check other facilities to see if they have the shoe. I am not too confident of this because I searched your website and there is no availability of the shoe in my size; size 8. At this very moment it appears that I am not going to get my shoes and I'M PISSED OFF! I really wanted those shoes. All supervisor Robin could offer me for my pain and suffering is a 30% and I WANT MY SHOES!

Very disappointing

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered the khloe shoe in November they came and was way to small I then took them back to the cross county location in Yonkers, NY they was supposed to send me a bigger size for me not to receive them I called the customer service # who advised that I have to go back to the store which I don't know why when I originally brought online any how I go back to the store who then tells me oh it says delivered I advised I never received them I now want my money back they said Oh we have to give your store credit because the rep who returned them didn't give an option to put back on your card. After I had to settle to get a store credit the employee said next time you need to come back sooner because this was from Dec 7th which I had to advise I work a great deal of hours what's why I order online I shouldn't have to go through the hassle to only end up with a store credit that I don't freaking want just a disappointment

I ordered a pair of shoes for a Christmas present for my step-daughter who lives 3 hours away from me, due to covid and family getting sick/dying from covid, I have not been able to give her the presents. Come to find out she already received the shoes for a gift from another family member. I work 2 jobs 7 days a week, I am a single mom(widowed) and what little time of the day I have left goes to supporting my daughter and sleeping. I finally have a morning off and I wanted to take care of returning these shoes(heck even store credit since they were $98) but I was told no multiple times. How can a large corporation who claims to give to charity helping women become economically independent punish a women for being economically independent. I work hard for my money I earn, I don't get any hand outs from anywhere and now here I am stuck with a pair of shoes because apparently my exchange/return will cause this $1.5 billion(generates revenue) dollar a year company to go bankrupt. SHAMEFUL PATHEIC COMPANY that does nothing but hurt people.

It seems like this website average star is a one star and I'm not surprise. "Signature was not require" seem really fishy to me. I was suppose to receive my shoes April 26th, when I order it in the beginning of march. On April 27th, I message them asking where my shoes was. They told me it's delay until April 30th. I said ok no big deal, after April 30th my shoes Never came, I message them AGAIN and was told my NEW date that my shoes will come is June 30. The next few days I got a weird sense about this website and check the website of the official page again... I notice that if I was to buy the same shoes today, it will be shipped to me on May 30... Um... That's awfully weird. So I send them a email asking how come if I order my shoes in March, my shoe will come on June 30 but if I order my shoes today (May, 4,2021) I can receive it in may 30? The women or man dodged my question and said " we can ship you the shoes on May 30 instead of the June 30. Turns out, my shoes was "suppose" to be dleiever may 10 but today is may 11 and FEDEX said it's been delivered. This website is so fishy. Going to put this review up so my friends can see! This is fake, took my money!

The shoes was never deliver to my house.

This is the first negative review I have ever written and it truly saddens to do so. Especially on these shoes because I love these shoes.

I bought these shoes in December of 2019, so I have owned them for about 5 months now. And as you can imagine, I haven't really even worn them the last 2 months because we have been locked in at home and my shoes of choice are slippers! I put them on 2 weeks ago and the chain just snapped while I was standing in my kitchen. I was so bummed. I am not one to spend a ton of money on shoes because I would rather spend my money on other things - like travel and family, etc. I decided to treat myself with these shoes. I kindly reached out to customer service and explained the situation. The first response I received flatly said "it's been longer than 30 days, so my request to return does not meet their policy". OK. I never asked to return them, I asked if they would replace them. These expensive shoes should last longer than 3-4 months, don't you agree? I kindly responded again and explained that I love the shoes and I don't want to return them, but I was hoping they could replace the broken shoe. Because that is the right thing to do. And that is how you put the customer first. The next email I received verbatim "Unfortunately, too much time has passed since your order was delivered and we are no longer able to assist."

Steve Madden has always been a brand I admired and purchased from. I'm extremely saddened and disappointed with this latest interaction.

In closing, I would recommend you not buy these shoes (even though they are comfortable and cute) because they will last you a few months and then you will be stuck with a $100+ pair of shoes that you cant wear and they won't do the right thing.

Unfortunately, this will be my last purchase I ever make with you guys.

Don't buy online
June 2, 2022

I ordered some shoes on May 27,2022. I chose the standard shipping option, it said most orders ship out the next day and that shipping is still $8 something - yet now on June 2, those shoes have still not been shipped. No email saying they have been, and I called customer service twice: the First lady was nice but didn't seem to have a viable solution since I'm moving out of the state in a few more days and told me they could try to cancel my order but no guarantees and then make a new order with $30 shipping for next day - that's more than the whole shoe im buying! Not to mention I'm not entirely sure what size I'll even need in the shoe or if it'll fit when I get it due to the reviews, so I'm supposed to buy two times just to make sure I get the shoe which might not work - I'll never order from Steve Madden again, when I called back to see if they could update my address to where I'm moving to, the guy was rude and he said no he can't update the address even though the other lady said they could at least try. I doubt the people moving into my house are going to want to be doing me favors with my shoes and forwarding my package to me when they're busy moving in the new house. He also said that the shoes look like they were in a warehouse processing and they will probably ship later that day and I called early in the day. Still no email. So I guess I just paid money for shoes that I'll never get to wear so I won't even be able to return them. Don't shop here online they're extremely inefficient in the processing department and I don't know why since it appears there's a lot of shoes of this kind in stock so it's not like they have to track down the last pair. It shouldn't be stressful to buy shoes but somehow Steve Madden made it possible

Shipping policy is incorrect
August 17, 2021

I wish I'd read the reviews first, but I thought this would be reputable company since I've bought Madden shoes from other retailers with no issues and loved my purchases. I placed an order on August 8th. I got a shipping confirmation on August 10th with a FedEx tracking number. Looking good so far, right? From previous experience, I know tracking numbers are usually useless for the first day or two as the only thing confirmed is the creation of the shipping label so FedEx knows to expect that shipment.

"Label Created" has been the status of my order for 8 days now. That would mean FedEx still doesn't have it. If they do, I find it very strange that there have been no scans or updates in the last 8 days. My first email to Steve Madden customer service was met with what may have been an auto-response that included my tracking number, which did not help me or answer my question. After I said as much, the second response blamed the pandemic on slower shipping times for couriers.

Steve Madden shipping literature says "3-7 days." So, change it if it's been that difficult to meet those expectations, even if those expectations are the fault of the courier. Because this is not the transaction I elected to make. I don't mind waiting extra time for a package, IF that is the agreement from the start. As clearly evidenced by the many reviews on this site from people who have had the exact same problem I'm having, this company is lying and stealing by not updating their shipping information and ending contact with customers looking for help or refunds. They sure were able to take my money right away. There are people stuck on "Label Created" for up to weeks and months. I'll be giving it one more week and then contesting with Paypal to get my money back. And don't ask me for my order number and tell me you'd like to "look into this" for me. Change the language in your shipping policy to reflect the truth. I have included a photo of where my order should be right now.

I am absolutely shocked by the horrible customer service from Steve Madden. They advertise all over the site the free returns and so on yet no one ever emails you back and answers their phone line.
I ordered two pairs of shoes, 1 pair of sandals, and 1 pair of heels. When I went to checkout I typed my new address then when I got the order confirmation and saw the charge on my account it defaulted back to my old address. I went in to edit it and it said this wasn't possible. SEVERAL days later I finally got an email back saying the only way to change the address it for them to cancel it and me to reorder and I will receive my money back into my account within a few days, annoying but whatever. When I went to go reorder, I clicked the reorder button and changed the address to my new one and placed the order, again being charged without the previous refund even hitting my account yet. I later notice that when I hit reorder they no longer had my size in the heels and it just defaulted to a size up without notifying me. I was so sick on trying to get a hold of them that I just didn't care and was going to accept the size up for the heels. Several days later half the order arrives the sandals and they sent me the wrong size in that as well, A SIZE DOWN! So, of course, they do not fit. I have emailed them literally 5-6 times over the last 2 weeks with ZERO emails back. When I try to generate a return label on their site it just says there is a system error and redirected me to their home page. So now I am waiting around for anyone to email me back about that. On top of that! Now I receive an email saying the heels they randomly chose a size for me are no longer in stock and that I will be issued a partial refund... It is almost comical if I hadn't been waiting on part of this order to give a friend for her birthday that has now passed... What an absolute joke of a company. Clearly zero training in any customer service... do yourself a favor and order from anywhere else, it is not worth the headache here.

Every SteveMadden.com online shoe posting has a size chart that supposedly will guide the buyer what size to order. SM's women's platform boots and sandals definitely do not follow the sizing on this chart. Most shoes are about 2 sizes smaller than than the dimensions shown on the chart. Occasionally you will find a pair of platform sandals that are actually comfortably slightly bigger than the chart dimensions. The point is the buyer cannot rely on their posted shoe sizes! Now this maybe ok when they occasionally allow returns (for new high-priced models only), but look closely, most of their merchandise is always "on-sale" or is universally 30 % off, "final-sale" WITH NO RETURNS ALLOWED! This is the problem. Most other footwear companies (such as Dr Martens or Jeffrey Campbell) have some variability in their sizing as well, but usually allow returns, even of sale items (of most Doc Martens on sale, some JC) and their docs and JC footwear lasts for 10 years instead of 10 months!.

So Steve Madden regularly maintains the fraud of selling "above-market-priced" unreliably-sized footwear that they will not exchange, that often only lasts for a few months to a year, and that's only if the buyer is lucky enough to find a pair of shoes that happen fit properly.

Steve Madden shoes and boots fit well maybe 35% of the time because they are smaller than size most of the time and the buyer usually cannot return them or exchange them!...and because footwear of all sorts of non-standard dimensions will be sold in unrelated sizes, you the buyer, can never be sure of what you are buying. Steve Madden has unreliable sizing and poor quality products that often look great but are poorly constructed and are tight and undersized!

I purchased 2 pairs of sandals. 1.on may 2,2021 with order#******* and 2. Pair on may 4,2021 with order #*******. The shoes were back ordered and I was okay with that even though with back order I should've had the shoes already. Problem the shoes sent shipped email on may29,2021. And after a week of sitting only pair1 has been in transit, still have yet to receive. Pair 2 has been sitting since may 28,2021 with only a shipping label created, no movement what so ever. STEVE MADDEN CHAT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND YOU CANNOT GET ANYONE ON THE LINE AS I HAVE TRIED MANY TIMES. By the time I get the shoes summer will be gone. I paid for 2 pairs of shoes, and I don't have no shoes. I will soon have to contact my bank as there seem to be no resolution for receiving my items from Steve Madden. Horrible experience, horrible service and customer service.
Update: 6/15/21 after leaving review, customer service reached out to me and was more than helpful. I have since received 1 pair of the sandals and the other pair is now in transit. Very helpful after getting in contact with them. I'm pleased.

Worst Experience Ever
October 27, 2021

I rally regret that I did not look into the customers reviews before placing my order.
I have placed an order on September 22 2021, order # *******, order was split in to two packages, after I received confirmation of delivery on 8th October and on 18th October 2021, AND THAT WAS A BIG LIE, I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING UNTILL TODAY.
I contact the customers service, and they explained that orders shipped outside the 50 continentals US are first sent in to shipping station in Shelton. CT, then a new tracking number will be provided via United States Global Priority mail.
Today, 27th October, no news yet bout my order nor any new tracking number have been provide.
I only get UNREALISTIC EXECUSES from the customer service about my package with zero updates.
My advice, don't buy from Steve Madden online, YOULL GET SCAMMED.
