My cousin and I visited Staples in Bloomfield, NJ to print our grandmother's obituary. While waiting to be helped, we notice Jeremiah was the only person that was able to assist the customers. Jeremiah's demeanor and Professionalism was EXCEPTIONAL. He acknowledged every customer who was waiting on him. Jeremiah displayed a tremendous amount of patience, and he was very knowledgeable. If it were not for him, we probably would have left the store because there was a long wait. While waiting, he also handled an irate customer who walked in and jumped the line demanding her money back. He was empathic and showed excellent customer service skills even though she was rude. Staples need more employees like Jeremiah.
Ordered laptop with arrival on a Friday took forever to process. Contacted about my orxder was flat $#*! lied to three different times. They most have to many customers and don't care for the individual. I will never do bussines again with this sorry company. I should have ordered from the manufacturer would have surly seen my order inside of a week on a instock item.
I bought a high end router from Staples brought it home and found it was extremely complex to setup and configure so I carefully repacked everything back as I had received it before returning it to the store.
I explained it to one of their electronic sales people and they agreed it was not an easy router and quite daunting for most are overwhelmed with it. No problem, checked inside, provided refund and I bought a different high end router which I have used for almost a year without a problem. Definitely would do business there again and recommend this store with its no hassle returns.
Have used them many times.
Receive items very quickly.
When a problem they are easy to reach and refund quickly.
For one inexpensive defective item they said just toss it, didn't need to return it.
Will continue to use them.
Staples is nearby. Used to have an Office Depot nearby but they moved. OD was better than Staples for prices, but each carry the same products. Staples is higher priced but usually well stocked. Look for sales prices. Don't look for help. Not much knowledge parked in the store help. We buy at our Staples, but only when necessary. Otherwise we make the drive to the locally owned stationery store. BTW, ouir Staples plays awful music really loud and that does taint our opinion of them.
Wow! Where do I begin? Today I visited the Hanford location. When arriving, I was greeted with such an amazing welcome! These two employees were Jesse Z and Joe C. Before walking into the building I was feeling very stressed and overwhelmed. The reason was, I was needing to create a business card. These two gentlemen helped me with no problem. This is the best customer service I have ever received! I will definitely be taking all of my business to these guys! Thank you Jesse and Joe!
Staples claims they will match any advertised price but watch them squirm when you call them on it! Saw an advertisement at best buy but when they checked they said it was a "special" type sale and they don't match special sales... just regular sales. Figure that one out!
I buy both major items and supplies from Staples from on line and at the nearby store. Their sales locally can be fantastic. They do seem to have everything I expect them to have. Their delivery policies and service are very good. Their store sales folks could be better informed about location of items in their own store. A minor frustration.
I have ordered K cups several times online from Staples. I haven't found a better deal on average. Then I get free shipping and my coffee typically arrives at my door within 3-4 days. I have ordered other items, it's just that I most often order their K cups when I can get a good deal between $8 - $9 a box.
I buy a lot of office supplies from staples but it wasn't until about 2 weeks ago that I realized they also have a full price match guarantee. I wound up buying an epson printer for $110 instead of $249 because of their price match and they beat the price by 10% as well once matched.
Good to shop around, check the prices and see if staples will match the price for you on the same item.
Great prices on some school supplies at the start of the school year. Other than that they carry average quality products for average to above average prices. Their electronics selection is ok, they carry the basics of low-end to mid range items. They have lots of printer inks/toners to get in a pinch, but the prices are a bit high. Good customer service. Don't waste your time with their computer services though, they are a ripoff (as almost every place is). If you have the internet it is easy enough to figure it out on your own.
Staples always has what I need. I rarely use the on-line service because my local store is 5 minutes from my home/office. I once used it when I bought a desk chair. I particularly like the office services department for presentation materials that I need quickly.
Two times in three weeks I ordered items with a specific estimated delivery date which were never met. The next day I needed to visit the local store to reorder the items thereby loosing my time and using important delivery time. In both instances Veteran Messenger Service was used. This provider is totally unreliable and should not be used. I will not purchase for home delivery if this provider is used. I will cancel the order and either purchase from another provider or pick up at the store. Very unhappy with the delivery service. Can provide order numbers if requested.
Placed the order and waiting for the shipping. Checked back the order status showing it was cancelled. No email, no reason given, just cancelled.
Terrible service. Better just go to home depot and buy it from the store instead. There are reasons some company will never make it during this hardship and some do very well.
I was going to buy copic markers and all of the prices were labeled incorrectly, so instead of telling me that or just processing my order as it should have been done, I had to come on, talk to a rep and have them tell me, whoops, we $#*!ed up, we're just gonna cancel that order. Now I don't get my markers and Staples is no longer a store or website I will shop at. I am royally pissed off. I will not recommend Staples in the future.
I bought a laptop and additional items totaling $700 I paid with a Visa credit card, the charge went through no problem. The clerk said oh excuse me I must void that transaction I forgot to write up the sale correctly but don't worry about it your credit card will not be charged twice the first charge will not go through. Well that's what he thought it did go through, my bank saw it as fraudulent activity and closed the card! No one at Staples is willing to take responsibility they say it's the banks fault and I am just upset over nothing. Well it's the only credit card I have and now I have to wait 5-7 business days for a new card. I have to call all the accounts that are on auto pay when I get the new card and inform them of the new number. All because the clerk forgot how to ring up the sale properly. Doesn't anyone know how to do their job? What makes matters worse is no one at Staples would even take responsibility! It was just a matter of placing the blame on someone else. I would never ever do business with them again!
Staples blows away the competition with their onsite printing. I've printed everything from banners to brochures to business-card items and they've always done a fantastic job. I've tried to use Office Depot and some of their competitors but none of them have the online design capabilities and same day turn-around.
I've even had stickers and magnets printed through them and always timely and look great. I used them for my wedding and my husband's business. And I they will always win my business for printing. I hope they keep up the great work!
I had a return and was told at one store they would not accept it because it was past 14 days but it was not electronics so therefore I should have gotten the 90 day return policy. I went to another store and was able to get my money back I was extremely happy thank you so much store in Woburn ma. Associates mike and Darrell!
Horrible customer service experience@ Staples on Fresh Pond in Cambridge, MA (11am Fri 9/18/15). I waited in line then asked the store manager about the rebate number that was not working on the rebate site. The mgr told me to go to support area for help which I complied. The support clerk asked me to wait again, so he can help another customer on the check-out area where I was original at. Now, I have waited approx. 10 minutes. I complained and the clerk apologized, because my time is valuable as well. What makes me more upset is that the store mgr said the support clerk was correct. If that's Staples customer service, then it deserves to lose more businesses and will close more stores. Congratulations of losing a life time customer! No more spending thousands of $ per year@ Staples. Costco is so much better.
Ordered 10 Apple iPads from Staples online. This was my first order ever, from Staples. Two days later I go online, only to find my order has been canceled, but no one knows why. No notification. This is also my last order from Staples. Pure bait and switch online. There's a reason why many of their stores are permanently closed. These people can't be trusted.
Answer: Good service at their brick and mortar store, now good service online
