I was very disappointed with the heavy handed approach their customer service used to handle my concerns about security surrounding my purchase, and was even more displeased by their refusal to refund the purchase after it was revealed that the service was significantly less than what was described. Be careful when doing business with these folks.
For two months I have been having a one-way conversation with "Stacksocial". I bout a set of headphones and never received them. I was assured through automated messages that they would look into it and never heard from them again.
Using a different e-mail I inquired, and I was sent the same " Genuine" email from a "different" associate, thus pricing that nobody actually read my inquiry.
Any E-mail mentioning a refund has gotten a reply, and no email with an automated reply has followed up on any promises.
The top reviewer here just so happens to be named "Jimmy" who just so happens to be one of the employees at Stacksocial support.
I was having some issues with the purchase of a VPN program from Gizmag/Stack Social and the guys in CS (Jimmy and Brandon) both came to my rescue, saving me both grief and money. Not only do I trust these guys but I now consider them friends who I can depend on to help me. No kidding! Not everything that they sell is the lowest price but if you need follow-up help or information, that makes anything worth the extra money to me. Just be honest and forthcoming with your issues and they will respond in kind. Excellent!
When I made an inquiry as to return for a Christmas gift (which I did not purchase) I was told "All Sales Final". I responded (twice) that I did not make the purchase so what is your policy for Christmas returns. They did not even take the time to answer my e-mail. Anyone making an online order should stay away from this site.
I bought a training that wasn't available: The instructor removed the training because it was updated. Stacksocial was clear in their prompt communications and explained what happened. They offered both a refund and I could select another training as compensation.
So I'm happy and impressed with their service. After sales deserves 6 stars, but because I didn't got what I originally ordered, I can't give a perfect score to the delivery... So a mean average of 5 stars ;)
I didn't want this order. I was trying to get my code in before checkout. I reordered using the code. Now I need a refund for this order. Thank you! I was so worried about being charged for two orders. Less than 24 hrs(more like 2hrs) after sending the above email, Mr. Desmond Miles eased my worries! I would get a refund within 48 hrs! Not sure what I expected but this outcome was fast and worry free! Thanks again Mr. Miles! I appreciate you!
I have purchased numerous courses through stackskills and have not encountered any problems. The courses are delivered as promised and have been of good to exceptional quality.
I have not had occasion to use customer service but give my experience so far I expect it would be decent.
Bought the 3 TB "lifetime subscription" to Degoo cloud storage through the Cracked.com store (StackSocial). The product did not work as advertised. Actually, the product did not work at all. I was unable to successfully back up any folder from my computer. The upload speed was slower than dial-up and there was ridiculous latency using the desktop app so that it crashes when trying to navigate through any folders. Degoo product support was totally unresponsive for weeks and then kept telling me I was using an old version of the software, which I was not. In fact, they kept sending me the "latest" version, which was the one I was using since the get go. In researching after the fact, many users reporting the exact same issues. The product is garbage and not worth any money. I requested a full refund from StackSocial since they should stand by the products they are selling. They have ignored my multiple requests.
I thought I had lost my access to the lifetime courses I bought over a year ago, so I got in touch with their support group aka Support Heroes. Desmond was very helpful and answered my emails promptly. My problem was solved almost immediately. Thanks a lot, Desmond! You're truly a support hero.
A complete scam of a site. I fell for the $100 Amazon gift card deal. It seemed too good to be true, and it was. They promised if you spent $25, you would get a $100 amazon gift card. I had used the site in the past. I spent $39 on this site for this purpose.
Apparently that was only a chance at a $100 gift card, despite having a separate transaction for the gift card that sold out, giving you the impression that this item was the limitation. It's deceptive. They refused a refund and offered only a $5 credit on the site. I will NEVER use them again.
I bought two products with them. The hosting worked great. However I bought seopop when I used the verification code it did not work. They refunded me in store credits credits expire 3 months after they are issued so basically they hustled themselves some extra money. Glad I didn't lose much.
I ordered the Raspberry Pi starter Kit from them because it included 7 online courses and seemed like a great deal. After my order went through I saw the "Allow 42 days for shipping." Had I known that I would not have ordered from them. Maybe I missed it when looking at the item but I don't remember seeing it.
So, I've waited over 42 days, no Raspberry Pi starter kit, when I check on my order it says Singapore Post but gives no tracking number. I've contacted StackSocial 3 times and always get a generic canned response telling me about the shipping process and I should check their website for updates. I'm done, my next step is contacting the credit card company and disputing the charge. I'm sure a chargeback will get their attention.
I had an issue with a duplicate order and after reaching out to support heard back from them within a half hour letting me know they will cancel the duplicate order and issue a refund. Such prompt customer service!
After I clicked purchase in PayPal, I was not directed back to stack social so I was unable to download my purchase. Their customers support find my purchase even without me giving them the email of the purchase as I didn't know because they never asked when I did the purchase. So their web site and purchase process need work, but I am very happy with the outcome from customer support.
I screwed up my order and ordered the wrong item. I immediately emailed support and within 24 hours they were able to cancel my order and refund my PayPal account. Dealt with Sean please keep in mind it was my mistake and all sales were final. They went over and beyond to help me thanks
After numerous ignored e-mails to Customer Service about an undelivered product, PayPal intervened and got my money back. I had ordered one of their "deals" which, as I later discovered, was not a deal at all, but the usual "discounted" price available elsewhere. The only (very late) reply I got indicated that the "usual" shipping time for the item I ordered was 3-4 weeks. This was not indicated in the ordering process. After waiting for 5 weeks for a shipping notice, and after several more inquiries, I asked PayPal for help--and got my money back. StackSocial should be called StackScammers.
If you want to get a fake tracking number and the run around from customer service, then this is the company for you! Bought product 8/6 with the expectation of waiting for the item as delivery time said early september. September 1 I received an email with a tracking number and said expected delivery Sept 3. Sept 3 came and sent with no product delivered. Tracked the tracking number and all it says is "pre-shipment". So it was never shipped. Customer service said just keep waiting (thats helpful) and basically reprimanded me for checking saying that the delivery time is extended. I told them I knew that but THEY sent me an email telling me my product shipped and gave a tracking number so crazy me, I thought they actually mailed it. Nope. Still waiting, and now customer service doesn't even respond. I'm out over $100. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!
I bought some courses from their site, I liked most, except one, which I wanted to return. Although it wasn't super clear how from the site, I did sent a request (not expecting much to be honest) but the customer support was very helpful, replied immediately (it was Sunday!) and I got my money back.
Not bad at all!
Due to a problem with logging into IE shop account, I accidentally purchased the same item twice. I brought this issue up with the support team and they work out the issue patiently until all is resolved to my satisfaction. Now I am able to access my account and retrieve all the items I had purchased.
Thank you very much for patiently resolving my issues.
They wrongfully advertise their product. I bought Unlimited VPN based on their commercial. I can't even get on their server and the speed is extremely low compared to their commercial. I email the support team 6 times and haven't even receive a response. They totally ignored their customers. Once you bought something from them, don't expect a refund even though it's a scam.
Answer: It took a long time and the intervention of PayPal, but I got a refund--finally--for an item that was never delivered (because it was never sent.) The range of scores for this business makes me wonder why some people get good service and others are ignored--even defrauded.
Answer: They don't want to interact with anyone. You'll get these ridiculous emails from their "Support Heroes" team. They are all cut and paste nonsense, and they deny any responsibility for their vendors. I was only able to get action by working with my credit card company to reverse the charges because of the scam they pulled (item they advertised was not what they actually sold). As a precaution, I also advised my credit card company to automatically deny charges from them. My advice is to NEVER risk buying from them. It's like your mama always told you: "If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't."
Answer: Hi Humberto, We would love to help you on this. Please contact us at https://support.stackcommerce.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Answer: I responded to an ad. Very stupid of me, and i will never do that again!
Answer: They have no customer service, just form letters. No matter how often you email them, you will get no response that makes sense. They have no way of contacting them except emails.
Answer: Clearly playing numbers game. Probably making their own positive reviews. No one stopping them. Internet scammers.
