I easily found an old friend using Spokeo. I didn't notice that the initial $. 95 charge would expire, but they understood my explanation and refunded the following $24.95 charge which was appreciated, and I will definitely use Spokeo again and recommend it.
A lot of the information is outdated or incomplete. And, my own personal information is so messed up (it looks like mine and an unknown person's records are combined into the same record) that it gives me very little confidence in the accuracy of other records).

The information they give out for the introductory price is where the area code is. Wow, couldn't have found that with a google search.
It claims to give the carrier (who cares) and says the phone type is a land line (no, actually, it isn't) and gives the area code location.
But for a recurring monthly charge of $25, maybe there will be more information.

I think so far that everything is going really well. A Friend has this service, and we logged in so he could show me how it works. CRAP I think. We did a search on me, everything they had was over 5 years old, and the email address they listed was an OLD AOL... AOL I havent had AOL in over 10 yrs... Really Spokeo. I read some of your reviews and wanted to let you all know that I too was duped. This site sucks and they are frauds, it even had my own email address info completely wrong and I am not a secretive on line person. I called and DID GET A REFUND. I demanded to speak to someone who could make this happen and it was taken care of. Don't let spokeo get away with this, keep harassing them until they refund your money. I plan to research ways I can report them and let the public know to stay away.
They hyped up their own service only to have it fall incredibly short as they provide absolutely nothing of value. I need to know the name of the random number calling me not if they're on a landlines or who is their provider. Trash service not worth 95 cents or 30 dollars.

This is the worst scam I have ever encountered they repeatedly charge you 14.95 for a premium membership you cant seem to cancel! Yet they want to charge you for a number look up no one should EVER use this service if you want to call it that... Give 14.95 to charity it would be a lot better than giving your money away and it's tax deductible!

I cancelled my subscription in June and they continued to charge me for July, August and September. At first the rep. Offered a 1 month refund. When I pressed the issue he then gave me another month refund, but refused to give me the 3rd. Month. I followed their policy and yet they did not. I think they do this on purpose from what I have gathered from reading different reviews. Shame on you Spokeo for taking advantage of people.

Cancelled my sub 2' after the transaction took place and they denied to refund me despite my statement that the sub was made because I forgot to cancel the sub during my trial time, and that within that 2', I dont even use their site to search for anything. Spokeo sucks

When i did a latitude longitude search with metada embedded in an iPhone movie one member sent i realized that they were only an hour away from each other in the same state.

Paid $0.95 to lookup a person. A week later, CCwas charged $29.85 for an auto monthly subscription I do not want. Cancelled through PayPal and through Spokeo website. After multiple emails, they have not refunded. Misleading, will never use them again and do not recommend to others. Beware!

This site is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. While it doesn't necessarily break your wallet (95 cents to get a report and an additional 50 cents to download a PDF copy), this site provides information so generic, you can easily find it with a simple google search. Pretty much the only information you'll get out of this website, is the location of the area code when you use it to look up numbers that called you, you literally get nothing else out of this website.

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
