This website is a joke. They have 8 different families living at my address.We are the only family that has ever lived here.The property was previously a hay field, we developed it. They also have have 5 people living here. There wouldn't be that many if you counted the pets.

What little information Spokeo does have is typically old and of no use. And yes, if you sign up for a three month period they do charge you for the full three months but they make it clear when signing up for those of you who are not illiterate.
The bottom line is that it isn't worth paying for.

I selected the. 95 cent one day service. Was then charged $19.95 and they will not return an email. I read there response on her that they say they make it clear that it's a trial and you will be charged for a year after 1 week. BS, I looked around when I purchased the. 95 cent service to make sure it was just that charge. They will not do anything to help you... beware!

However, if a trial is not disabled within the 7 days a 1-month recurring subscription fee is charged. This may mean that your account was still active. Not only did it not return any results, in the days following I received several fraudulent charges on my credit card. This is a card I never use, so I know it was from the Spokeo charge. Terrible company, untrustworthy.

It is possible you selected our Single Search with Premium Trial plan, which provided you with an initial $0.95 Single Record as well as additional free Premium access for 7 days. As long as the trial is cancelled within 7 days, the account does not continue. Because your trial was not disabled within 7 days, a recurring subscription fee began to charge. Accounts of this type automatically renew if left active to prevent any service interruption. We try to make this very clear by detailing this on our payment page, including it in the disclaimer which has to be agreed to before the purchase is processed. In addition, the information is included in the confirmation receipt sent immediately after payment, as well as in our Terms of Use. I do apologize again if this was unclear in any way.
I got important info from the 3 people searches I looked for. And 2 of the 3 searches, was enough knowledge to make contact. I am grateful for Spokeo's efficiency, in having this data in their system! And when I ended the $. 95 seven day trial period, the gentleman easily went through the cancellation process for me, without urging me to come on board with a subsription. Prior to committing to the 7 day trial membership, the Spokeo website gave every indication that the record I was interested in contained a phone number and an email address. After signing up, the record contained neither of those things.

I have had the same experience as most of the other reviewers. Signed up for a "free trial" then got billed. A customer service rep. Then told me "I must be mistaken for a trial of Bizshark" now a month later I get billed for Bizshark, I have no login, no receipt for a transaction, and no record of ever having signed up for this "service". This is a huge SCAM do not get into this mess. Their supposed offering is totally bogus. Look at these reviews!

Never, Ever use this company. If you sign up and cancel they will still charge you. Ever thing is wrong about this company. I read the agreement stating I could cancel anytime hassle-free online, which I did. I should have know something was wrong when I cancelled and didn't get a confirmation email. The information is of not much use either.

When searching on a phone number on Google, I was directed to Spokeo. I paid $0.95 for a report and received no meaningful information about the name or owner of the phone number. I suspect this is a commercial fraud.

Charge you monthly with no notification. Then they put up advertisements on the web advertising themselves as not a scam. They know they have a reputation for being deceitful and rather than changing their business practice, they choose to rip people off and then advertise how they don't rip people off. F'd up thinking!

There I was looking at an apt. Building. I add who lives at the residence and up popped Spokeo. This company's data bank is top notch. Trust me I spent. 95 don't need to go to trouble of attaching receipt. Due to the false advertising I've cut my card off and explained no charges from Spokeo allowed as within 10 mins of trial period, I cancelled. Since they falsely advertised I certainly don't trust them not to charge my card after I cancelled during first hr of trial period

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
