Cannot get in touch with anyone. I wrote an email and left a message the first night I ordered the trial. The site kept asking for more money and it charged me 14.95 and I just got billed. 17.95 this month.
So this is supposed to be a site that looks up ppl and their info. It's a bunch of BS. I even paid for the trial and not information I was looking for... Unless the ppl lying to me about their name and phone number, yet I call and text this guy so it should come up. How about add picture look up or license plate... come on Spokeo!

I used spokeo to find 1 number for $. 95; I had the option for $19.95, but only needed to use the service 1 time. I was accidentally charged $19.95 and they credited my $19.95 back to my bank account within 2 business days after speaking for professionally to them on the phone. A courteous and humble spirit works well when speaking with folks about a refund.
Spokeo uses methods to suck you in and steal moneys from you. They offer 1.00 then bill you at 24.95 and provide what looks like a receipt that comes from the 1950's with little detail.
Don't get sucked in and robbed.

I used their service for a reverse lookup (which gave me no information) and found out a week or so later that I had been charged $29.95 for a one month subscription. The only reason they're getting a positive review was that their customer service department (a lady named Suzanne -agent 1638) was extremely nice in cancelling my subscription and giving me a partial/prorated refund. I would not suggest using them or if you do, make sure you cancel before they hit you with the $30 monthly fee.

I paid for a 7 day trial and was automatically signed up for an ongoing subscription. This was not made clear. Also, I received an email receipt for the trial payment but not for the monthly fee. When I called they were only willing to refund $9.98 of the $25 I paid. I think they are intentionally doing this.

It's 2022, and I just wanted to know where my client lives. Client bought property in 2017, 5 years ago, and yet the owners information on Spokeo is the owners as of 5 years ago. I verified it on BlockShopper, which has 2020 information. Why would Spokeo not subscribe to simple property ownership updates?
I also find records without a Month and day of birthday. This is also in the public realm. No reason for missing information.

Are you kidding me? Free person look up free reverse number look up and ect. After you enter information which take your precious time... it does it 60 sec search and then blacks everything out. Looks like a redacted FBI report. Can't get any information unless you pay for the monthly or immediate memberships... don't waste time just face that you will probably not find anything out unless you want to pay to any of these sites. I bought the 3 month membership, because when I typed in the name of my husband, it showed his profile pic, and next to was a green checkmark for dating sites -- naturally I freaked out and bought the 3 months to do some more searching. And all that came up were the sites he visits that I already know about. He has a common name, is that the reason for freaking me out with the check mark? After I bought it, it said one identical match (his Facebook) and other possibles with addresses below, none of which were him -- so my question, spokeo, is why the green checkmark with dating sites next to it (his facebook profile pic)? When I paid, they didn't show up. Are you just using that as bait for possibilities? Or because it's a common name?

I saw the pop up from Spokeo, that promised me they HAVE the info I was looking for, and I can retrieve it with my free trial. I paid my $. 95 for the trial, expecting to see the information I was promised, and there was none... also charged 19.95 to get unlimited access. A partial name showed up. Then a second offer promising me that they would have the information I was seeking if I paid another $4.95 to get that single address verification. I then basically closed my connection. I went to my bank statement this month and realized that i was being charged monthly $19.95 and an additional charge of 17.85 had now been added which took the same date 1 month later as my original $. 95 charged

I first heard of Spokeo in 2020, and then I found myself using it almost daily. I loved it, but Now, i don't even recommend it. You have to pay for even just a basic name to a number search, which could very well not even be accurate. But then have to keep paying. Heck you even have to pay for a pdf file now! Which is after you have to pay for just the search to begin. It's Ridiculous! However I keep finding myself coming back to this site for searches, in hopes it will get better or back to how it used to be. Otherwise it is now become just the same as any other search site.

Whatever value it might have if you pay for it, Spokeo is not free, ever. It advertises itself as "free" but requires payment the first time you use it. That is fundamentally dishonest and completely undermines their credibility. There are other sites that effectively research information on people that do not use such dishonest advertising but that do excellent work.

Be aware that if you do NOT want to subscribe and you decide to only pay a few cents for one lookup, you will still be receiving random charges as if you were on a subscription and you'll have to dispute. This is the 3rd time they've done that. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt but now I'm sick of it and know it's 100% on purpose. Scam company. Stay away from their services, their customer service sucks as well.

I used Spokeo to look at phone calls made to my family. I found it somewhat accurate, but then Spokeo had an employee contact via me a fake "Survey", to find why I was looking at phone records, and why. They offered a "$20 Amazon gift card and I participated. The questions asked indicated it wasn't actually an interview about my opinion.

Our company has been a user of Spokeo for 3 years.
We primarily used them to weed out spam calls on our corporate mobile devices and help with spam emails.
It seemed too good to be true, all this data at your fingertips, and it is too good to be true.
During the month of August, we did 30 searches, with 20 of those coming back undefinable with less than 3 bits of info.
The rest were mostly not current and accurate, at which time we opted to use a competitor.
They use the baseline plans to upcharge you for real data that most are looking for.
Don't bother with Spokeo with many other better companies out there such as Been Verified / Intellius. ( We switched to Been Verified)

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
