They have you pay a fee for everything. The service is not good and the customer service is nasty. I do not recommend to take service with spectrum.
Twice today I was given a two hour window for service. Spectrum was a no show both times. I would not recommend this cable service!
They lie to you more than once and then they have you in a situation that you cannot get out of unless you are rich.

1. Last fall I had to renegotiate my contract from Time Warner to Spectrum. To keep just what I had with TW my bill would have gone up $35/mo. After 45 minutes in the local (now Spectrum) office, I agreed to a $10/mo increase. They told me that I would have all of the channels I had before but I had would lose the 3 premium movie channels. I agreed to that. When the new contract went into effect, I lost several channels I had before and was told I had to pay for additional tiers to get what I had lost. I was lied to by Spectrum!
2. I will be watching a show (not recorded) and the box will suddenly reboot. Usually in the middle of the day (2-3 pm). Then I have to wait ~10 minutes to get my TV back. By then I have missed that viewing time. This is really bad when you are watching a movie that is not recorded. I called them to fine out why they rebooted at that time. Of course they had no record of the reboot.
3. Now I am having a problem that I will be watching a channel and it suddenly goes blank and a screen comes up and says, for example, "The Tennis channel is not available. Try again later". Sometimes it is several minutes, sometimes hours before it comes back. I called Spectrum and complained. They check the connection and a bunch of other stuff and said they found no problem (of course). When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the no-customer-service person put me on hold for 3-4 minutes. She came back and started by saying, "My supervisor said...". I interrupted her and said I want to speak directly to the supervisor. She said the only thing she could do was schedule a call-back, which I had to agree to. I was called back several minutes later and she scheduled a service appointment.
4. This has been typical service since Spectrum took over. I did not have nearly the issues with TW and when I did they helped me most of the time over the phone. So now I pay almost $200/mo for TV, Internet and cable. I would dump them in a second but they have a monopoly here.

Spectrum wants you to do their job for them and leave you without service until you do. Fixing to get another provider they suck.
No channels what so ever half of the channels are just repeats HD HDHD tv always goes out. Don't buy.
Internet goes out regularly. As of 9/27 Internet has been out for over 24hrs. If I worked at home. I would for sure have been fired!
I had problems with the sound on on demand. So they change my cable box. Now when you go on on demand you cannot see all the programs.

My service was working improperly for over a month cable constantly pixeling and internet going out made numerous phone calls for a tech to come out in which had three appointments that were not met while seeing service trucks drive past my home after over a month they actually came out and fixed service saying that the tech who installed the cable service had used direct tv splitters that were not compatible with spectrum after three hours of changing parts and troubleshooting my service was working properly. Credit to my account was said would be giving in which I had to complain again and they said they would credit me 35.00 for one month which is nothing compared to what I pay for a month if service team leaders have hung up on me promised me phone calls back in which they have not spectrum is built in Hope's and dreams they tell you whatever and do whatever in hope you will keep paying your bill I feel as though if I am paying for a service I should receive it in a reasonable amount of time and it should work if not what am I paying for? VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER SOON TO BE NOT A CUSTOMER

Absolute HELL and I dont even have the service. I called to get JUST wifi (cuz you cant do it online) and he tried to sell me yada yada... doesnt matter, and I said no I'm sorry I know youre doing your job but I would just like wifi please (which I repeatedly said 10 times over intermittent of his promotions). FINALLY he proceeded to say that its $49 the first year and $75 the second year. (Btw ATT is $40 flat every month every year.) So I said let me talk to my husband and I'll call back. Then he started fighting me and yelling at me asking what was the reason, is it too expensive? I said yes, let me talk to my husband please. He said well you wont be able to talk to me (he already had my number to call back so BS) blah blah and continued to yell at me asking why i didnt want the service but thats just the way it is and its not true ATT has $40/month, its more blah blah (also not true) I continued to (cordially) tell him I was about to hang up but wouldnt let me, kept yelling. He clearly wanted a sale I was not about to give him. I finally said this convo lasted 30 minutes longer than it should of, I just want Wifi... if I agree to this service im sure i would have had plenty more conversations like this one... Seriously the worse customer service I have ever experienced. After 20 minutes of yelling at me I finally hung up on him. Anyone else would have hung up earlier. This service is an absolute joke. ATT all the way.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
