The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to poor customer service and escalating costs. While some users acknowledge stable service performance at times, many express frustration with frequent outages, billing inconsistencies, and unresponsive support. Common complaints include difficulties in service cancellations, lack of transparency regarding equipment ownership, and inadequate resolution of issues. The sentiment is largely negative, with customers feeling undervalued and misled. This feedback indicates a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service practices and address billing transparency to enhance customer satisfaction.

Spectrum billing sucks they said I didn't pay last month bill and now they talking about I gotta pay 90 more dollars before the next billing cycle. How are you not getting the money I sent in did you lose it or something? This month they say I owe almost $500 I paid you for last month why is the bill so high and they added a few things I didn't ask for which was added to the bill. Long story short don't get it spectrum it's not worth it
Spectrum is a rip off, every month the bill goes up. If you're in a yearly plan, it still goes up. I took the boxes back & I'm paying more than when I had them. Rip off!
They charge a fortune for their services and I've lost count on how many times we've had an outage! I live in a big city so…. This is reduculous! They're services we're once good many many years ago but as the years have passed their services have become crappier and crappier! I already ditched cable and home phone services thru them but had to keep the internet cuz they're all that's really here which sucks! If y'all are gonna charge a fortune for your stuff, make sure it works! Some of us rely on you're internet services for our jobs! Sick of dealing with 1-3 outages every dang month! Have had 6 outages in the past 7 weeks! Wish someone else would come here who's reliable because spectrum isn't at all and expensive as hell! I'd drop spectrum so darn fast!
After canceling service and returning equipment, Spectrum refused to prorate my final bill.
First company I've ever encountered that won't make adjustments to statements.
Was told by a supervisor that the rep that handled my call to disconnect should have told me about bills not being prorated.
In the end I had to pay for 30 days even though I only had service for the first 6 days of the billing period.
Pathetic that they wouldn't adjust the bill even knowing that the rep who processed my discontinuation didn't do his job duty regarding warning me that I'd still be paying for service even after turning in the equipment.
If you can, avoid Spectrum, unless you don't mind paying for service not rendered.
I will never deal with Spectrum again. Canceling all our services. The customer service in the store is shocking. Beware that if you want to get a new phone they will give you a quote just to sell a phone. They are condescending. I will warn people on every day onball my platforms to be weary when dealing with them. Do not do any business with this store. Enrique from this store is rude, condescending and disrespectful. There is no manager at the store. He is never there. The rest of the sales men there are dishonest.
All I can say is stay clear! I have had an appointment set since Saturday July 15th for service to be installed between 3 and 4
Here we are July 18th 10 pm and still don't have my service. I have left work 3 days in a row because they were supposed to be here. I can not get a straight answer from anyone! This is absolutely unacceptable!
You should only consider paying Spectrum if you enjoy spotty internet connection randomly dropping 2-3 times a day and never with any reasonable excuse. The only thing you'll get from this company is negligence and headaches.
The company put an amount on my credit for Wifi and the service is month to month and they billed me for service I didn't have for those months and I paid my final balance.
The only service that isn't over-priced is the phone. Spectrum continually raises rates about every 2-3 months without warning. The cost silver and gold TV packages for additional channels are beyond ridiculous. Also, you will experience outages or the channel you are watching will freeze. They accuse you of not returning their equipment when their technicians take it with them after repairs. And don't expect quick repairs. Those are usually booked two weeks out from your request. My mother has Xfinity anf they offer more for less.
Sad but true. Spectrum is a MULTI-BILLION dollars company and it seems that they can't stop themselves to add more customers in one way or another.
I made the mistake to change cell provider since I was offered the so-call SPECIAL NEW CUSTOMER BUNDLE DEAL. I needed Wi-Fi at my new address and it was a fiasco to get it done and once I agreed to terms, the BUNDLE came to life. Now I am stuck with 50% upcharge per month. I felt for the lies and the way it was explained to me that the phone was included. I trusted the operator and now I am hooked!.
I am trying to change to other providers and dump Spectrum.
BUYER BEWARE!

I recently switched from Spectrum to Frontier fiber optics when it became available in my community. I didn't realized when my billing end date was, I mean come on, do you? I thought that they would be like other companies and only charge me for the portion of the month I used; however, I was VERY wrong. Frontier was set up the day after my billing end date, and then I called the next day to cancel my Spectrum service. Well, I found out that my billing end date was on the 24th of the month, and I canceled on the 26th. They charged me for the full month because they said it is in their written policy that you must cancel by the billing end date. I left them because their rates are astronomical. I was paying $179 per month for basic internet and the lowest level of TV after my "year" of promotional rates. I tried talking to several people, but just kept getting the same blanket statement. I hope I am NEVER in a situation to need their services again. I will find another way. If I could give Zero stars, I would, but it looks like I have give at least 1.
Every ISP is becoming a monopoly. Spectrum internet keeps dropping, and when it's not dropping, it's being throttled to a crawl. My internet was going really slow, and then I turned my VPN on and bam, quick load times (which is funny, because usually VPNs result in slower speeds due to the routing). I pay for 400 MBps, but only get 250 on average. They probably do this with everyone on a grand scale, it's how they cut costs even further that go directly into the pockets of corrupt, greedy officials. This screenshot is directly from a Spectrum rep. They also keep increasing their prices while their service declines in quality. Break up these monopolies, bring net neutrality back.
I am a business owner and recently signed for spectrum mobile because I already had the internet service. Ordered two brand new iPhone 13 pro max and only to be told that they must be delivered to my business address which was already dumb because who lives at their business store. Anyways, I said ok and was instructed to have my package signed for when it arrives. FedEx also a terrible company, sent me a message that my package was signed and delivered, however, nobody from FedEx came and I was there the entire time waiting. I immediately called FedEx and they said spectrum has to file the claim. At this point, I am tight that I am even going through this. I proceeded to make a police report and submitted it to spectrum, to this day it hasn't been resolved and Spectrum is trying to charge me $2400 for items I never received. Spectrum is the worse company to ever do business with. Highly don't recommend it.
Overpriced internet speeds, unreliable connection, horrible customer service. Thank god I moved. I am paying $30 a month now for 600 MBPs with a more reliable connection with Xfinity. Connection is so much better. Customer service is miles ahead. Spectrum acts like what they are, a greedy monopoly. I was paying over double for 1/3rd of the speed. During the pandemic they were even greedier with increasing prices and throttling your speed. Spectrum is like the bad area you want to avoid in LA, a crime riddled dump! GOOD RIDDANCE
Received a call from spectrum cable telling me about their internet service so I decided to get the service. The technician came to my house installed the internet. But the roku TV was not working. The technician left saying that the technical support at Spectrum would easily help me with this slight delay or issue. And left, trying on my own several times, still same problem.
I called technical support. And waiting for a eternity. Then I get this lady on the phone. She doesn't do anything, immediately she is saying "we did our part we are not responsible for 3rd party equipment. But here's the problem, this lady offers me no help. I told her that the technician would have to come by so at least I could watch actual TV. And the technician said if it's a big issue. Technical support could guide you to at least I could watch TV and I could figure out the problem.
Basically the story goes I could watch TV before the technician came in. But when he left I got nothing. AND I'M NOT PAYING FOR NOTHING. So I left spectrum. I was a customer since 2008or 2009 and this is the way you treat your long time clients. SHAMEFUL AND UNETHICAL!
If there internet gets slow good luck canceling anything. They will put you on hold till you eventually hang up. You can't cancel anything unless you go to the actual spectrum office. Major corporate issues modern day rip-off technique. I hope the CEO gets fired.
I was moving so called in to cancel my internet service on June 25th.
I get a bill for July, so I call again and they say that the service is still active. I have it canceled again and then go the billing department where they say that there isn't any note of cancelation on my June 25th call so the bill is valid and I would have to pay. It isn't my fault the representative did not add notes there.
And yeah, the are way overpriced, charging $65 for a 200Mbps line.
Not going back to this company ever again.
PLEASE save your time and money. Avoid moving to areas where Spectrum is the only provider AT ALL COSTS. A storm came through my area for a little over an hour and I was then told (on Saturday night) I have to go five days without internet because they can't send a technician out until Thursday. I work from home (Monday through Friday) and they literally give no other solutions to temporarily solve the problem, which is insane considering again they are the only provider in my area. They are quick to take money from you and try to get you to get bigger package deals but HORRIBLE when it comes to actually giving customers solutions to problems the company would have to fix even after speaking with three representatives and two supervisors.
Spectrum has horrible service. At least once a month the cable goes out for 24 plus hours every single day every hour on the hour it seems the internet is going out and that last any wheres from a few minutes to a few hours and they could care less all they want is their money regardless if you are receiving the services you pay for or not. There customer service team is rude they tell you some one will call you and they never do say they will fix the problem but i swear they make it worse if you can go with any other provided i would highly recommend it. Spectrum is over priced what you get isnt even worth a fourth of what you pay.
Before signing up, Read everything. I cancelled and was charged full rate (no prorate). Also, charged twice in 1 year. Never heard of that before. Don't trust the company.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.
Answer: They could give a shit - they create a monopoly in the area and do whatever they want - raise the rate, intimidate, and are very rude and no help to customers!
Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
