Beware when making changes to your services. Like requesting upgrades. I suggest calling back the following business day or even the same day to verify what you and the representative agreed upon is what is taking place. I called to get my balance only to find out I'm being charged for phone service that was never discussed with the representative. Then the representative I speaking to refused to remove the service because of a past due balance. The past due amount was never an issue when we requested to upgrade by adding tv only, but it's an issue when I said remove a service I never asked for. They lie about the prices of their services and charge you for services you never asked for.
Cable box goes out all the time. Poor customer service. Expensive for what you get. Spectrum makes it difficult to disconnect and opt out.
1. Spectrum doubled my bill for same service I was getting when the company was TimeWarner.
2. Spectrum added an unauthorized landline to my cable/internet bill (I haven't had a landline since 2001). I didn't notice because I am on paperless and autopay. When I demanded a refund they said "policy" is to only refund the current month's charge, not the 16 months they had been ripping me off.
3. One Spectrum customer service person says and promises one thing, then a supervisor reverses it and defends the company rather than do what is right and in the customer's interest.
4. Spectrum lets you use outdated equipment that they charge you for every month. You have to call them and ask if your router and set-top box are up-to-date, because they don't care as long as they're taking your money.
5. Spectrum's cable service regularly blanks your screen while it updates and it has various glitches, and the streaming version is worse and has clumsy navigation and the guide is not integrated with LiveTV. Spectrum doesn't care, as long as they're taking your money.
6. What do they want the money for? Stuffing their executives' pockets, I imagine. And of course, dumping tens of millions into hideously irritating ads for their mobile service. I don't see why they waste their money when they can just charge you for the service without providing it. (See #2, above.)

I went to your store on loop 288 in Denton, Texas this morning because I was going on a road trip and my gps was not working on the phone I purchased from you. He looked at it and said it was a google problem after looking at it for a few minutes. He could not help me. I went home and told my son and he corrected the problem for me. It was a simple fix but apparently my son knows more than your employee. He was absolutely a waste of my time. It makes me wonder if I made the right choice switching from T Mobile to Spectrum.
Worst customer service ever! Sat on the phone with three different agents who did nothing but waste my time. Second one kept me on hold for 20 minutes without saying a word. Then comes on and says I can't seem to get into your account! Yes that's what she said! Then transfer me to another specialist who says sorry I didn't even know that you were residential I can't deal with residential customers. Let's face it when you want to cancel a service they put you through the ringer till you give up. Problem is I have enough tenacity to work now they just lost me as a customer for good. I have the ability to switch to another provider which is exactly what I will be doing. Good luck with this company they are horrible
Recently reviewed my moms account why her internet was so slow and found she was getting 20 MBPS speeds. Called service and they said the line needed servicing. The rep come out and said it seems Spectrum never changed her speed when it was bought Time Warner but continued to charge her $90 for 300 MBPS of service. Completely unethical.
My Internet speeds were lousy. Technician technician Chris Garcia came out and changed my splitter and then change my my modem now my speeds have gone from 30 downstairs to 9 downstairs. He told me MY router was the culprit, to change that and possibly get a Google mesh system. Send me someone that knows what $#*! they're doing! F****** spectrum sucks.
They charge for equipment, then blame customer their device not working. Even when paying they charge for their device modem/router/a service fee when there new equipment doesn't work as promised, and charge customers a tech fee, many disruptions, its never their fault but the customers equipment a complete scam! Just greed! Never helps the community, nothing but lies, and blames customers, paid yrs extra for high speed internet that has many interruptions, can't down grade, no accountability for their bad service!

Customer service is not on the agenda at Spectrum. The attitude, the lack of helping folks at all, actually sitting at their stations doing nothing but wasting time without calling people to assist them. Not one smile, not a bit of assistance to all of us waiting. I was told that I could take a seat while I waited, you can do an errand I was told. We'll let you know when to come back. I got the OK to come back because I was next or close to being next. I waited and was told to take a seat, I said, "there are no seats", "well, you can go sit against the wall on the ledge!" Another woman was already in her designated area along with... now me. I was there over an hour and a half to return equipment that took 10 minutes. There is no drop area, you have to go to a UPS drop off instead. I am happy to say I have Comcast and relieved I don't have to deal with Spectrum, I was doing a return for someone.
They said for over a year they would connect our lines & internet to one account so we would get a bundle deal. Never worked. Went to store 3 times and called in just as many, but no help. We were told twice, it was fixed. So they've been stealing from us for over a year now and I was fed up with it. Did they try to make it up, NO.
When we tried to switch services, spectrum screwed up the PIN number process and gave me the incorrect number multiple times. It was a nightmare due to their terrible system!
Lastly, I went to turn in the box to their store and the rude lady at the desk told me they don't keep the cords. I asked if she wouldn't mind tossing in the trash can literally at her feet in her desk to which she gave a condescending chuckle and pointed to a trash can at the exit and said "you can through it away", again, very condescendingly.
I will never go back to this company ever again and I have several friends joining me.
Spectrum internet and cable services are the worst I have ever seen. I have had them going on 2 years and have never had to call in the technician so many times. I feel like the little boy who cried wolf but in this case, I am certainly not lying. I have called so many times about the DVR box. They changed it out so many times. 3 to be exact and the 4th one I have still doesn't work properly. I am just appalled at any services they have to offer. Each tech that comes out says they have fixed the problem and it will work as long as they are at residence. Soon as they leave the same problem they came for exists. AWFUL! Don't start me on the internet service. The intermittent internet service is so awful and constant that I give up on this completely. Every time I get on the internet, the connection is gone. I reset, and reboot over and over and over again. This service is the worst I have seen. At this point, I am just giving them my hard earned money. Money I could be paying on something worthwhile. The area I live in is a prominent area and cable/internet should have no problem connecting to the cell towers. But SPECTRUM is absolutely the worst. They make me want to pull out my hair with their terrible service. Not to mention I work from home and need the internet and Spectrum's service almost made me lose my job. I'm up late at nite trying to catch up when the service does work because it hardly does. I feel Spectrum owes me money for all the stress its terrible service has caused me. People if you want cable and internet, do not go with SPECTRUM. They are the worst. Save your money, because it isn't worth spending it on Spectrum. Called because due date on bill was not as represented. Found out I would be receiving 2 separate bills per month, 1 for cable and 1 for mobile. Was $45 more than represented by sales rep.
Spoke to representative at 800 number who connected me with supervisor. Discussion with supervisor resulted in her stating she would transfer me to their Retention Dept. with instructions in computer to give me phone service for 12 months credit that would give me free phone service.
It was a program they had to retain customers that were going to cancel. Spoke to representative in Retention Dept. who said there was nothing in the computer about credit. She said the only thing they could do was offer 12 months free service by adding an extra line. I'm one person, no need for an extra line. She did apply a monthly credit the Gov't has in place for those who qualify through the A. C. P., Affordable Connecting Program, something I should have been advised of at the time I signed up. I'm clearly a retired senior citizen. Spoke to a supervisor who would not honor what I had been told. I've lost a great deal of whatever respect I may have had for Spectrum.
Verizon may have been more expensive, but I was never given the "runaround".

Hands down the $#*!ing worst cable company I've ever had: $300 amonth for nothing but constant everyday errors, glitches, takes 60 secs to change channels, takes an hr to reboot, I've spent an hr tonight just trying to get into on demand movies and repeatedly blocked by errors it's $#*!. To anyone thinking about signing with spectrum I would totally go with anyone else, I don't think any other company could be worse, this company just rapes a person to death with the high priced same old garbage that's on everyday, glitches and errors. It would be so great if I could actually watch the non variety of crap that's on everyday but can't even have that just error this error that error hl1000 error dm1134 blah blah blah I wish this sorry $#*! company would just go out of business fn useless. I have a spectrum box located in my yard. I would like to put a driveway and and storage shed in the better my property and way of living. I'm not able to because of the place the spectrum box is located. I have asked repeatedly for someone to move the box. One day they came to put a new box in, it was years ago and no one came back to move the wires or the old box. The wires are above ground and it should be unacceptable for this to be happening.
Would give them a zero but doesn't go that low high speed is even worse though them if that is possible, save your money if you can and find another provider horrible foe what that charge
It should never be okay for a business that touts itself as the best in the business to leave its customers hanging. If I see the Spectrum truck in my neighborhood it's a sure sign that internet is down yet again, or its going to be. People working from home rely on the service they are paying for. Having to wait 2 days for a technician to come out when I could see clear as day there was a technician at my neighbors home is bull. Clearly, there was a problem that wasn't resolved because the tech left and service was still down. Being told not enough techs due to rainy weather is bull. It wasn't raining when he came out. The whole street is down. Also, trying to figure why and wasting my time checking my router when all along I could do nothing because the problem is with the provider, after going onto my accountand it ot having a notification that internet is down on my street is another problem. Unacceptable!
Save your money and time! Spectrum TV sucks! Slimy sales people sold us - but didn't let us know our TV wouldn't work for it and would need additional add-ons. And did NOT credit back amount paid. Robbers! And the "manager" basically told me yeah too bad...". Remember if it's too good, it's because it is.
June 2021 I was paying $134 September 16 2022 I'm paying $191 with no change or upgrades in my service. Terrible absolutely criminal sending copies of my bill to the attorney general's office. I guess their cable lines got Covid
