I started this service at the beginning of August my phone hasn't worked since then their chips is not compatible to any other phones Spectrum mobile doesn't even work phone calls dropped can't get internet service outside of your home people can't hear you when you're talking or you can't hear them buyers beware don't get Spectrum mobile don't buy their phones don't get their service because it don't work

My family has been a customer of this company / time warner, etc, for over 20 years. During this time their deals are generally much worse than other competitors. Twice their phone agent's literally lied about the service we were to be getting when signing us up for new packages and deals. They do not pro-rate your bill like xfinity does, so when trying to save money by downgrading, they will immediately downgrade your service but still charge you a high rate. Avoid this place if you can.

We counted 16 to 19 commercials every time and it is infuriating. I know spectrum wants to make money but you know what maybe they should care more about their viewers I don't wanna sit here through 16 to 19 darn commercials.

Called because due date on bill was not as represented. Found out I would be receiving 2 separate bills per month, 1 for cable and 1 for mobile. Was $45 more than represented by sales rep.
Spoke to representative at 800 number who connected me with supervisor. Discussion with supervisor resulted in her stating she would transfer me to their Retention Dept. with instructions in computer to give me phone service for 12 months credit that would give me free phone service.
It was a program they had to retain customers that were going to cancel. Spoke to representative in Retention Dept. who said there was nothing in the computer about credit. She said the only thing they could do was offer 12 months free service by adding an extra line. I'm one person, no need for an extra line. She did apply a monthly credit the Gov't has in place for those who qualify through the A. C. P., Affordable Connecting Program, something I should have been advised of at the time I signed up. I'm clearly a retired senior citizen. Spoke to a supervisor who would not honor what I had been told. I've lost a great deal of whatever respect I may have had for Spectrum.
Verizon may have been more expensive, but I was never given the "runaround".

Their terrible ubiquitous ads suggest their overpriced bad service thriving on monopolies in apartment buildings. There is not enough volume on some Channels like 25. Reboots are often necessary.

The original guy who installed cable abs internet didn't sync anything. The cable box delivered caused constant no signal issues 2 hrs after he left and continued for 4 days. Then another tech came out with a newer box (I think) and reinstalled properly. The first box even rattled inside. Piece of refurbished junk. Constant call backs again. No signal. Remote freezing. Box issues again. On 3rd one now. I had Comcast in east and I don't like cable companies who keep adding surcharges. We switched to Direct and I brought it to my new place in Midwest. Then a satellite stopped picking up signal. I switched to midco cable not wanting to. Never had problems. Moved in Nov and they do not handle this state. Had to get spectrum. The reps are all nice but this cable needs to get with the times and improve their quality. On demand free movies are real old and you have commercials that you can't FF. Plus too many spectrum commercials on demand and TV. Horrible company.

I turned in a Spectrum Box about a year ago because we reduced to 1 tv.

Because their employee did not record the return properly (or not at all) they have no record of me returning the Box. They have harassed me for $60 month after month.

I filed a dispute case which they would not accept and continued to Badger me for the $60. Because this is their word against mine and they will report me to the credit bureau as unpaid debt I paid the $60. I am posting this to let people know my experience with their inadequate service. I will not use them again. And I pray that God blesses their company the same way they are blessing their customers.

I spoke to spectrum person and she wasn't caring. She was rude. My bill double in 2 years. That is not right. I told her it isn't right that new customers pay lower fee. She stated that they charge lower fee in hope that they continue service when their year is up. Whatever your fee is when you start with them plan on in 2 years it will double in cost. They don't care that they are working with a senior either. This company is not senior friendly.

When canceling your service due to moving, Spectrum does not prorate your bill. Doesn't matter when you cancel you will be charged for the entire billing service. Shows laziness and focus on making money and not customer service. Spectrum just lost a future customer.

I am a disabled veteran of low income. Spectrum advertises a fantastic internet and mobile plan, but it's all a nightmare. Had to make several calls trying to get two people to give me the same answer, big red flag. They sent my phone, a Motorola pure, and it is pathetic! Battery drains within an hour or two of use, calls are static filled, screen goes black right in the middle of activity, freezes numerous times. Don't let me get started on what it took to get the internet started. If you have the money, look elsewhere. You will regret dealing with these people.

I am so tired of spectrum, apologizing for all their high-speed Internet network outages when they're actually costing me money because I work from home. It's a flapping shame that there's nothing customers can do about it. We don't matter nor do we impact the people that matter within Spectrum that could fix the problems. It only impacts their paychecks if we leave them. That's the only way we impact the company is to walk away stop paying them. Not by asking them to fix their service or asking for a discount price for f flym flam Shim sham service.

Spectrum offers On-Demand channels but the series often are not complete. I have been viewing NOS4A2 on AMC Premier and half of the episodes are only available on Shudder. Therefore, I would have to upgrade to Shudder to see the complete series. Shady business practice. I will research new channel providers.

After having Spectrum for years, in different houses and even states... I feel I owe myself a punch in the gut for staying with them so long. Sure, their prices are (somewhat) okay... But there have been near weekly issues for as long as I can remember. So some of us stay up later than 10pm still (crazy, I know). Now not that I'm paying too much attention, but between the hours of 11pm and ~3am, Spectrum's router loses service about 3-4 days a week. It will usually reset itself and kick back online within 10 minutes (a bit excessive if you ask me). I understand they likely go through automatic updates, but I would assume this would be at a set time and not 11:52pm in the middle of All American. The most recent disconnection, I unplugged modem/router and waited 10 minutes. Nothing. Hit reset on both of them, wait another 10 minutes. Nothing. I finally hit reset on only the router 15 minutes later and it kicks itself back online.

If I'm paying the same amount for car insurance every month as I am for internet, why does the company continue to allow some of my service to be wasted and/or siphoned off multiple times a week? I've gotten new equipment twice at my current residence, so nothing is defective.

Just seems a little sus if you ask me.

Charter Spectrum internet service on speed has been on the decline for years and for their inability of their customer service/technical team service to resolve either speed or service issues such as billing. They are known for sending a tech team to fix issues temporarily by adjustment of switches and cables at the boxes outside residential houses and also at their data centers. Even that is short lived for a few days since they have someone restore to back to square one, creating more headaches for the consumer. The FCC needs to step up and revisit Charter as well as other providers. Charter needs to reduce their prices and step up their internet speeds. They offer gigayte service but actually provides 400 mps as an example. They also dont update or upgrade their modems and routers when they step up on internet speeds.

Speak Up please.

Where do I start...
1. Upload speed is not what they claim.
2. Spectrum cable is subpar to say the least, especially their movie selections and how bad they edit said movies. For the money they charge I should not have to deal with commercials interrupting my movies nor having to deal with the editing of the language content bc it's a movie.
3. The cable boxes they use are refurbished and don't work half the time. In four months I have had my cable box replaced 6 times bc they were freezing up and yet they kept on using refurbished boxes. Their techs even acknowledged the fact that the boxes are refurbished.
4. They charge so much and claim its bc of the 200+ channels but they don't actually tell anyone that it's the same channels duplicated.
5. If I had a choice I definitely would switch in a heart beat but I'm stuck with them till I move to a different apartment complex.
6. I would not recommend them if you have a choice.

I receive a text from Spectrum when my bill is "ready to be viewed." The same day, I start getting texts and phone calls from Spectrum telling me my bill is past due. I reply to the texts with, "Stop," and I block the phone calls. Neither helps. I called a rep today and was told they cannot stop these annoyances. When I move soon, I will be choosing another cable company.

I recently got spectrum internet fiber lines and it is the best I have ever had but decided to get their tv service as well. You have to download an app to get it and this app is only usable on certain tvs like Samsung but not Vizio and only works on Roku but not Fire stick. If I'm paying for the service it ought to be available on whatever I have! So now I have to either buy new tvs or new sticks. Pain in the a**!

I had the simple task of returning a failed cable box in the Spectrum store. I observed many customers interaction with the cocky minimum wage counter jockeys. Spectrum has the only cable service in town…. They can get away with the lack of professional service in cable tv. The only way to hurt spectrum is to not purchase their cell phone plans. Their plans are decent but don't fall for it. Money talks. Let's send the message.

I moved to a new address and called their Planning a Move? Number. The agent assured me everything would go off without a hitch and that it was OK to self install my equipment. They ordered a technician to come to my new house when I was not home and I had cancelled the appointment!
Well I have my internet but get an email saying I owe $120 and that my service was never activated. I am using the internet right no and everything is fine. Called customer service to fix it. Was on the phone an hour and was transferred 6 times and my issue is still not resolved.
I am worried they are going to call a collection agency because I guess I am "stealing" internet from them? Unbelievable!

As I have subscribe from different providers in my travels, this is the first that has charged a extra fee for "On TV" TV Guide. Even expensive satellite TV has A guide on TV!

Having made several attempts at SpeedChecks and Tech calls, I'm now one of Thousands of Pissed Consumers, paying for service which is unsatisfactory. Lies and more lies. Even though I was told a service tech would attend to my inconsistent broadband issues.

Unfair and Deceptive business practice.
Theft By Deception. We will file suit.

I received my bill for next month I noticed a $5 increase in my WiFi and so I called the billing department. I was told it was a $5 across the board increase and all Spectrum customers was being charged the same $5 monthly rate increase. I never did understand what the girl was saying it was for and finally gave up. I have spoken with other Spectrum customers who say their bill was the same. I have no videos or images for this complaint. I hardly think $5 is worth lying about. I am old and live on a fixed income. I already gave up my cable and home phone services thru Spectrum because of this. In January when my WiFi alone will begin a new charge of $90 a month they can then have the WiFi too. I am supposed to be getting 200mbps strength and I do good to get between 80 and 120. So here we are again poor service. You can call them and the techs want to walk you through a bunch of mess that usually does not help and when you pay for a service that is their job to fix it and not the customer who is not on their payroll as a internet tech. Spectrum has reached a size where customer service just does not matter anymore.

In order to reduce the cost of my excessive internet/cable bill Spectrum is forcing me to cancel service for 30 days, return all the equipment and then re sign up and re connect everything. Savings are major- but they will not help any other way. A second home we aren't at very often therefore it is quite inconvenient to do all this. I cannot believe that a company would penalize long term customers by making them go through this process. I need high speed reliable internet for work or i would go with someone else. This is a ridiculous way to serve customers.

There's always something wrong with their service. For no reason, the cable box shuts off, and the screen goes black. That happened 4-5 times while watching a show. At night, when I click on the guide, it says, 'please wait.' What in the hell are we waiting for? I called them, and he said it was probably the cable box. If there was another cable company near me, I'd change! Their bill keeps going up, and the service keeps going down.

Cable is constantly breaking up. Customer service is never helpful and there is no plan for seniors. Prices are always going up.

We are having another outage for our home phones, internet and TV again. This happened last week also. Starting to be come a habit for Spectrum. Not sure why but they really need to have better service. Call or try to call or chat with CS and it's always automated takes for ever to get a real person. Talked with some one 3 weeks ago was supposed to get new equipment haven't revived it yet. Cannot get past that automated chat to talk with a real person. It's so frustrating and then the bill is outrageous for you to have be in outages so often. People really need more reliable services like the company adversities on the TV.

My new dvr can only record 2 shows at a time and I can watch real time shows when it is recording. My previous box recorded over 3 shows at a time and real time viewing was not interrupted. Technology is increasing yet spectrum is moving in reverse as the price of cable is full speed ahead. I wish I did not have to use them but I have no other options in my area. I wish I could choose zero stars as a rating but I have to put one.
