Raise rates any time they want.

They will give you a good deal then take it away. Try to talk to customer service is no help at all. Going to take their box and internet modem back to them. Internet was 40 now its 85. I had HBO and showtime with internet at 150 a month. Now Basic cable and 400 ghz internet is 180 with no movie channels. The pic is how the cable guy destroyed my closet to run the wire with his supervisor. Spectrum said they would charge me just to see.

Con artists
September 11, 2019

Loyal customer for two years, never missed a payment. After two years bill went up extra $50.00 cancelled service three weeks into that billing cycle as soon as I realized what the bill was.
Spectrum are still charging me for the full month even though I had a week without service. I do not believe they can do that, I will be checking.
Company sucks big time

I wish I could give it 0 stars! The absolute worst business and service I've ever had! The bill gets higher every month and then u try to get a representative and your wait time is at least 26 minutes... what? This company is absurd and very very bad!

The following is my reply letter to Spectrum's Cell service marketing email:

You continue to raise my rates with cable and internet. 2 years ago I was paying $165.00. Now it's $223.00. I don't trust your company, and your rates are not good after you lure in customers. I was unable to go with Direct TV due to line of site issues with the receiver in my new apt. I am apt hunting and will switch services if I am able upon moving into a new residence.

Every other month my bill increases. The broadcast and sports programming fee is ridiculous. They have the ability to tack on fees that are never ending and that they can raise as often as they choose and you have no choice but to pay it. There is no such thing as negotiating a lower bill. They flatly refuse. There's a difference between making a profit and gouging the customers. More and more people will begin cutting the cord. Too bad I can't give negative stars!

I ordered 5 DVR cable boxes that took 2 weeks to receive. Once received, Spectrum sent be 4 regular boxes instead. I was transferred to numerous customer service reps that was rude, one in particular; told be there was nothing he could do and transferred me to another rep. After I was bounced around to several reps, I decided to go back to direct tv. I WILL NEVER attempt to purchase cable and internet from this company again. Extremely waste a time... they lost a new customer!

There is an issue at least once a week with Cable and Internet service from Spectrum Charter Jacksonville NC. I just don't understand what the problem is. You don't get what you pay for. I'm currently looking for other services. I would never recommend this cable company to anyone.

Terrible customer service. Bill went up and called to get it fixed. They offered to take channels off for $13... really? I pay over $190 a month for TV and Internet. Although they have an intro deal for 29.99 plus another $40 for extra channels and that it for TV/Internet/Phone, I do not expect to get intro pricing. But I do not expect to get raped after being with them a year either. What kind of business model is this? The would rather their customers leave after 12 months due to jacked prices rather than raising their prices to a reasonable amount to try and retain customers instead of churning them - especially if there are other options... well goodbye Spectrum!

I got a free trial for Super Bowl and then tried to cancel. Not only does there recording say they have high volume of call and wait time is 2 hours then then they hang up. I've tried several times to cancel but they only let you cancel on phone but you will never get anyone so they keep charging you month after month. Crooks. We need to start a class action suit against this company!

Liars!

I received my April bill (which increased by $50 since my promotion ended). I was on hold for 1.5 hours (which I can't be too upset about right now), but I was LIED to when I originally called and was told they no longer have a resolution department, and there was nothing they could do to improve the cost of service. I called back to terminate my service and was immediately transferred to (you guessed it), a resolution specialist. This is how I also found out they DO NOT pro-rate bills any longer. If I terminate service today, I still owe for the two weeks left in my billing cycle! Ultimately, I was on the phone either waiting or talking for about an hour and 45 minutes and have to pay a bill for service that I won't be receiving. This after being a customer for about 20 years. No wonder they are averaging one star. How can they charge someone for service they don't receive!?

Keeps going out.

I dropped cable and kept wifi because of the high price. Now the wifi keeps going out, maybe only for a few minutes but that is annoying when it happens everyday 4 or 5 times a day (maybe more). It is hard to do anything important online. I have to switch over to my phone network a lot. Spectrum is terrible.

If I could leave this review without putting a star I would not have even given it one their automated system to pay bills never works and they charged over $5 to pay it with the representative. Since their system doesn't work they should waive that fee. Their customer service is very poor and they do not tell you about special offers that you can get very unhappy with this company it was good one charter owned it but spectrum is awful and so are their employees had a question about my cell phone and they kept transferring me to the same Department who kept saying they could not help me I decided not to go with them for cell phone and am currently looking for another internet and TV company

Canceled my service in August and they continued to bill me despite the cancellation request. Never received a bill (i moved) and first I hear about outstanding balance is a collection agency. I confirmed when I called and cancelled my previous payment covered all outstanding balances. Called to discuss collection letter, they can't help me because it was sent to collections, and I should have called sooner. No wonder people are cutting these companies off for streaming services.

This company is 75% of my spam calls. They will not stop calling me. They use ghost numbers so that I cannot block them. I will never be a spectrum cable customer because of the way the treat people. They have no respect for individuals who do not wish to be contacted.

We were without spectrum Internet for two full days. They told me they would expedite a service order, but then called back to say there was an area outage. There was no area outage, as I checked with my neighbors, who also have spectrum and none of them had issues. Trying to cancel their service is a whole other set of frustration. I was finally able to cancel after an hour on the phone, and we have switched to a new Internet provider who was $45 cheaper and 25% faster

I've been trying to get my Internet and cable fixed for the last two months without success. I continue to have intermittent Internet and many issues with the cable. Even after three service calls to my home, which is a big inconvenience. Now I can't watch college football on ESPN or the U.S. Open. Pathetic I'm changing service

Spectrum is a SCAM
July 3, 2023

Ever since signing up with Spectrum I have never had the speed that I pay for. I have called several times and all they do is send people who test the lines. Always get the same response that everything is fine and must be on my end. I just found out per one of Spectrum customer service representatives that I have been using the wrong modem and router which both were provided by Spectrum. Now I cannot get any response from Spectrum when I try to contact them about this. All they do is pressure and bully the customers and never provide services that are paid for. If they would have made sure that I had the correct equipment I would not have to keep calling them from the start of my service. I also have 4 mobile phones with them, been loyal, and never missed a payment. This is how they treat me

Stay away from Spectrum
November 24, 2020

Stay away from Spectrum. They tell you one price over the phone, then even tell you exactly how much you will pay after taxes and fees, but then charge you more. Upon calling and trying to get things resolved they claim they cannot find that package deal.

Horrible customer service. I was on the phone with them for literally one hour and fifteen minutes, before finally a manager can review the actual phone conversation I had with them upon initiating service. When account specialist transferred call to supervisor the call "disconnected". I never received a call back so I called back myself, and I had to go through the entire process all over again, because they had no way of reaching the same representative or manager. Instead I got another manager who did not review the call and said that there was no package pricing at that price. Upon asking him to review the call, he said he could not, so now I have to wait even longer to speak to a next level supervisor.

It's disgusting how Spectrum goes out five to six times a month. Takes six or so hours to fix. When they can't they have to schedule to come out to your house. Half the time they never show up. I've already lost one job due to their internet unreliability. I'm about to lose another. You just can't take off work and claim it's internet. Even when it is. You get FIRED.

The spectrum TV app was charged so that you can't use the guide on Android phone. This is a problem for people with low vision. No one seems to care that a long time customer is having problems with their "improvement"!
