Remembered why I got away from spectrum. Called in 3 days after getting a 199.99 bill for tv/internet. Asked to remove HBO/MAX/Silver. Yes, we can do that. Thinking I would get at least till the end of the bill period since I already paid for it. Nope. Got to love paying for something and not getting what you pay for.
I would like to give them a negative number...
My neighbors change from spectrum to another company... spectrum came out and shut my business off...
My phone (no calls in or out)
My internet (new we can't run credit cards... most of my business is done this way)
And no TVs (a minor inconvenience)
They credited my account $6.00 (and only after I complained... which took about 40 min) I lost business because of their total incompetence...
Their view 'ops sorry, not our fault or our problem'
Time to find a new company...
Long story short they have lied to me for over 3 months about paying me for destroying my great great grandmother's rose bush by a third party installer on a completely opposite side of my home then the actual cable. They have given me fake policy numbers, and even sent me to a third party company with prepaid cards claiming they have my money. When in fact that company has no record of my name or payment. Completely unprofessional and horrible customer service. It deserves a 0 out of 5 stars.
Took months to get my correct cable bundle They sent me some cables I did not need. Told me to disconnect new box and bring into service center with new remote when new stuff was fine. Finally a competent representative did in a couple minutes on the phone after months.
Every time there's a main event on, On-Demand thru Spectrum Cable they fake outages. They even send you a text message saying there's an outage, get you to call in and want to discuss you billing. Then when the event is OVER which is aired, Spectrum Cable sends another text that the outage has been restored. So when you pay for the On-Demand event, you're not able to watch it. This happened again on Saturday night 5/4/24 during the Alvarez vs Munguia boxing match.
I had a job working from home but found another job April of 2022 so I had a guy from Spectrum to come change out both the modem and the gateway and cancelled my home phone service. Last month I looked at my bill, I know, my bad for assuming Spectrum did what they said they would. I was STILL being charged for home phone! I called and they said all they could do was give us a credit for the last 60 days because 'we didn't notice their mistake in time'. Ya we out of money because of their mistake and they don't feel like fixing it so they'll give us a few bucks back and that will be that. Poor service and they don't really g af about their customers. Go w/ another provider!
Their service always down. When you call they have no explanation for the outage. 4 or 5 phone calls ago about an outage they said they would compensate me after 4 hours of no service. It came on for 20-30 minutes then went off again. I do t know what they were worried about the last time they had to compensate me it was $1.27
This service is a joke. I'm going back to ATT!
All around terrible! Cost keeps going up no reason, it is so disappointing, You cannot get a decent customer service. It is just awful! Bill has gone up over $60 since Time Warner. It really is horrible. I can not even describe.
It's just the worst to deal with these people all they want to do is try to raise your bill for the same thing and tell you that you've been on a promotion and that's going to run out and that they need to raise your price $40 when it's already been raised. I don't know how long they can survive doing this but a hundred and something one stars to five five stars tells you the future Spectrum sucks so bad. I waste an hour on the phone with them and then they try to raise your bill $30 for the same service. I've never wanted to blow my brains out so bad dealing with a company they are the absolute worst and everyone knows this we all just need to cancel
Spectrum sucks for many reasons. Intermittent internet levels, non functioning channel selections.
But the worst is the non stop advertising of themselves. Spectrum runs more commercials about themselves, I hate it.
Changing going to Roku streaming.
See ya Spectrum, stop bothering your customers with your commercials, especially when they are already a customer.
I'm sorry but I can't even watch Netflix peacefully without being disturbed. Honestly, a waste of money and time. This happens repeatedly, the workers don't care enough, and "customer service" is just a fancy term for sorry the problem is on you! I'm very disappointed, for people purchasing internet, I would say Verizon.
Do NOT believe Spectrum! Once you are a customer, they raise the prices over and over again. They keep all the deals for ONLY new customers. They don't give a flip about current customers. The tv service is shaky at best with signal coming and going. Sometimes no sound. Screen shakes and often not watchable. Internet is ok but at almost $90 not worth it. Specially on a fixed budget.
I have had the worst internet connection since day one of installation and when they came to " fix it" they replaced my router and then when I still had problems afterwards the manager said I would have to buy and install my own router or just live with it the way it is because they couldn't " promise me a good connection all the time". I cannot watch tv or even use my phone while on internet without it crashing and saying connection error or buffering. Do not get involved with this company unless you want no internet connection and people who do not care about you as a person just the money you give them each month.
The ONLY reason I use Spectrum for my home wifi is because it is the only choice in my area.
The customer service is terrible. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and was told they were too busy answering calls.
If you have no choice, like me, at least buy your own cable modem and router. DO NOT use the ones they provide and are able to configure at any time with out your permission.
So my tv says "stick around, we're setting things up for you".
So it's been an hour. I made dinner for my family and we ate and when we went back into the living room, it still says it. Spectrum is pricey, slow, unreliable. I will be switching away. I hope every single person does too. Spectrum, go under.
Spectrum "Bright House" has terrible customer service support system and no way of contacting them direct or by email. I took off work today to have a new box delivered and one installed. There tech said no work order for install and left. Didn't even try to call someone. I called Spectrum and they assured me I had the work order for an install and promised someone else would be out today. So naturally no showed up and I called and had no remorse and could only reschedule with me again. I will no doubt check into other options after this day.
I just had a tech out. He was good. But internet speeds while OK in the morning, are simply dismal in the evening. And their TV plans are garbage, as is the hardware. I will soon cut the cord on that deal. But no alternative for internet service. I'd give them zero stars if I could
Once again, I have foolishly signed up for spectrum services. I see that I've denied the spectrum TV package, and it appeared on my bill anyway. In trying to resolve the billing with customer service, I was told I need to come into a location. As always, spectrum chooses to inconvenience the customer, and helps the customer well give in or give up. Such dishonesty!
SO a new neighbor is moving in and installing spectrum by the sign on the install truck. Well, after they left, I found this long scar in my lawn of where they apparently paved back and forth installing the cable. No notes of apology of course...
We've been spectrum customers for a long time now, & we recently upgraded our cell phones. Number 1, the workers or helpers at the spectrum store is no help whatsoever. They messed up our account. We were paying for 6 lines & all we have is 4. Number 2, the people you call to talk to getting it fix does nothing. They give you the run around. So please tell me how are you supposed to help the customers? The answer is really easy: We're spectrum, let's lie, & take peoples money. Screw you spectrum. Screw you.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
