WE HAVE BEEN WITH SPECTRUM FOR MANY YEARS DIFFERENT HOUSES. IN AUGUST OUR BILL WAS UP TO $259 A MONTH SO WE DECIDED TO CUT THEM OFF AND JUST DO THE INTERNET FOR $74.99 YES THATS JUST INTERNET. WELL DECEMBER YES DECEMBER ITS NOW $79.99! THEY ARE ADVERTISING $49 FOR 12 MONTHS. TIME TO GO SOME WHERE ELSE.

SO a new neighbor is moving in and installing spectrum by the sign on the install truck. Well, after they left, I found this long scar in my lawn of where they apparently paved back and forth installing the cable. No notes of apology of course...

I have been working on getting a number ported with Spectrum from a competitor in the Tampa area for 45 days now. I am paying both bills and waiting to have my phone number ported. NO ONE seems to be able to help and will not forward my case with notes documented the account to a supervisor.

They sent the installer over and switched everything to their equipment without having the work order completed at the road. I was left with no working internet, phone nor cable for 36 hours. I still have no phone and the internet is spotty. I cannot get ahold of anyone that can fix or cancel the service. I will never use this company in the future and will let everyone in the community I have lived in for 21 years know how horrible Spectrum has been. Just pay the extra for the competitor its worth it!

I wonder how a company would react if I only paid a percentage of the agreed upon price I was billed instead of the full amount. Just like how they advertised "100Mbps" and I'm getting 1st test 0.28 Mbps download and 0.13 upload. 2nd 0.73 Mbps dowload & 0.08 Mbps upload. 3rd test 0.41 Mbps download & 3.32 Mbps upload.

Spectrum rips off their clients. Their excuse is they can only bill monthly, no prorations.
I saw my credit card bill and noticed that spectrum had increased my rate by More then $45 per month From $175 to $223. When I called and asked why they said my plan ran out. They did not call me or inform me that I would be receiving an increase or change to my plan.

I said OK well I'd like to make an adjustment to my plan and they said that would be fine but it would take another month they would not give me a credit. When I asked to cancel they said that was fine but they would not refund me any money. Caveat emptor buyer beware, this Company is a rip off.

I will not be using this company in the future.

Three different technicians, three opinions. First one said he couldn't help without a serial #. Second one said there was no way to use my LG tv remote with Spectrum channels, could only use Spectrum remote. Third one said to add my Spectrum username and password to LG tv set up.

1. I was unable to find the serial #. There was no 12 digit # on my box.
2. I was able to use my LG remote to get Spectrum guide and all channels for over a year before I unplugged all cables to move the tv and Spectrum channels disappeared. Technician said that was impossible, no way to use LG remote for Spectrum. That would mean I wouldn't be able to use my voice feature on LG remote, the channels would be blurry and I'd have to mess with two remotes to get Netflix or Prime.
3. There is no place on my LG tv set up to add my Spectrum username and password.

Bottom line: all the technicians were wrong. None know their product. I finally deleted all my tv settings, started over and set the whole thing up again. Guess what? It works now. I have Spectrum channels on my LG and can use its remote to access Spectrum guide and get to all the channels plus use voice and the picture is clear. I am no techie, but I am better than those who say they are. Spectrum: your technicians have a lot to learn.

NOT worth the money

Definetly not worth what I'm paying. $125 a month (just for TV!) for no 4K, lousy bitrate for HD and not everything is even in HD! I didn't know how good of a picture my TV had until I watched Netflix. I'd dump them in a second if my family didn't insist on watching certain shows. Plus, they keep advertising starting internet speed of 100 mbps while I'm still stuck at 60 mbps. I know it's available here as other people have it.

Feeling cheated

I was getting my internet service from Times Warner, and at some point they were taken over by Spectrum. At the time I was living with my ex and when he left I informed Spectrum that I was now in charge of the account. The invoices were sent to my attention but the account for some reason remained in the name of my ex. Which was source of confusion and problems. Then I realized lately that I was paying and extra $30 every month for the internet service. I asked Spectrum what it was and they said that it was actually what I was paying to Times Warner at the time to get a faster internet. Spectrum did not switch me to one of their own subscriptions, they continued to charge me what the old provider was charging while Spectrum subscriptions are cheaper. They also continued to charge me for years the extra $30 monthly WITHOUT GIVING ME THE HIGHER SPEED. I truly believe Spectrum has been stealing my money all these years and they totally refuse to help, arguing that now that I have switched to one of their in-house subscriptions they are not able anymore to check what internet speed they were giving me the last 4 or 5 years. Spectrum has lost a client, I am arranging now a new subscription with VERIZON instead. At the end it will be a finacial loss for Spectrum. I absolutely do not trust them.

No Longer Competitive

Spectrum simply can no longer compete with other companies beating them both on pricing and services whether on cable or TV. They do not price match, and you are stuck for a month's billing even if you cancel their service one day into the next billing period; Spectrum will not prorate, but they happily drop services and charge you a full month. Bye-bye Spectrum.

We signed up with Spectrum and were told we would receive internet and phone for $34.98 for two years. After I placed my order with them, I was asked by the representative if I would like to have cable for free for three months. I said no and the rep said I could try it for three months and if I didn't want to continue with cable service I could cancel with no contract and my bill would be 34.98 for internet and phone service. Three months (January 18,2021) I call to cancel cable because I did not want the expense. I was told that the price I was given was not a "package" they offer and if I want to cancel cable my bill will be $99 for internet and phone... Just a side note: my bill currently, with cable, is $99. I gave the manager the date and name of the rep (in Retention department) I spoke to when I set up service and when she looked through the notes on my account she said the notes were there, showing the special offer of $34.98 for cable and phone package given to me on November 13,2020, but there was nothing she could do because "Sales" had given me the price. She transferred me to sales and sales said they could not give me the special package offer I had gotten three months ago because I was a current customer. The sales rep said on the retention department could make a price change. So 8 reps later and going around and around with the Retention and Sales department I got no where. NO ONE I spoke to seemed to care and had NO compassion for the lie I was fed. This is a Racket! Spectrum is very dishonest! I am currently looking for a different internet service provider and will NEVER use Spectrum services again.

Billing Practice

I paid for the internet service for the full month from Dec 22-Jan 21. I cancelled the service on Jan 9. Spectrum refused to refund the prorated premium, AND Spectrum cut off my service on Jan 9. They cannot have it both ways. This is unfair business. They should either refund the prorated premium OR allow the service to continue until the end of the billing cycle.

I have had problems with my internet for over a year. I have made dozens of calls to these clowns. I have swapped out equipment, had technicians come to my house multiple times, they changed wires, cable ends, tested this and that, I bought a new counsel, controller, wires for my game, i have to reset my modem and game constantly because of how bad and laggy the game is running. The modem cuts off internet by itself. Now the lan cable on a brand new modem disconnects by itself and so does the wifi. If i had another option for internet i would be there. These people don't know what they are doing, they can't fix anything, and they don't offer any kind of inconvenience refund or discount. They just blow smoke and pretend like their garbage internet isn't crazy expensive. Way to expensive to be having this many problems for this long! This company deserves a zero rating! Unfortunately 1 is the lowest i can go

Creepy Installer

An installer was in my home to upgrade my service from residential to business. He showed up with no identification, and had called ahead with his personal cell to ask me to tell Spectrum he was on site if they checked despite him being late for the appointment and not yet at my house. While here for the second of his 2 visits that day, he stated he had "never met a woman who did not like being tied up", and if consensual, most women "don't mind being slapped around." The corporate response was insensitive.

Very dissatisfied

After finally getting my TV and internet service installed and working I learned the sales rep was not forthcoming and in fact, lied to me about several things. They had to come out to my house 3 times and dig up my yard, and I had to make two trips to their store to exchange equipment before the service was finally working. Also they do not "buy you out" of your old contract like their commercials say. The customer service is terrible and I am still waiting for a call-back from corporate that was supposed to have been within 2 - 3 hours. Two weeks later... Nothing! Goodbye Spectrum and good ridance!

DON'T DO IT!

I only got Spectrum because it was the only internet service available in my area. The internet was spotty on some occasions but the real reason why I dislike Spectrum is because they try to squeeze every last dime possible out of you before you go. I was charged for a full month of service even though I moved mid-month. Then I found out they automatically charge you $120 after you cancel your service, under the assumption that you won't return the equipment. Not to mention they don't tell you any of these things up front nor send out any type of confirmation that your services are cancelled or that they received the equipment. If zero stars was a rating, that's what I would give them. The absolute WORST! Get service elsewhere if possible.

I have been a Charter Spectrum customer for six years - internet only as I do not have cable tv. The price seems to go up $3 - $5 every few years, yet there is no difference in the service that I receive. The most recent $5 increase in labeled "WiFi Service". Well, gee I have had WiFi from the beginning, so why now? I called Spectrum and was told that the primary reason for this is increase is the pandemic and the increase in the number of service calls due to that. Really? Seems very much like price gouging to me and I said that, to no avail of course. I'm currently looking for a new provider. Any thoughts would be welcomed.

On-demand doesn't work

I pay big bucks for HBO and SHO. When I try to access on-demand shows, 98% of the time I get an error message, Please try again later, and no program.
