Their website wasn't working properly for me - images would not load so I could not pick a product. Contacted support and was "assured" that their website was working fine, and the problem was at my end. Yet I found tons of people on Twitter reporting the same problem. Nice one blaming your customers for trying to give you business and being unable to do so.
I felt compelled to leave a review because my heart sank as soon as a read negative reviews after I had placed my first order. I think this company is a small operation and they're trying their best. My experience: I placed an order for 4 throw pillows, I only had one delivered. I was really worried that I wouldn't get the other 3 because the order said it was fulfilled. I contacted customer service and they sent me my other 3 as well as refunded me $15 from a coupon I forgot to use. Did they get it right the first time? No. Did it take a few days to get a response? Yes. But in the end they corrected their error and I'm a happy customer. Also, the pillows I ordered are beautiful. I'm not affiliated with this company, just wanted to share my experience because they've gotten a lot of hate.
Ordered a large framed print. Order was delivered fast and seemed fine at the time but gradually started to develop small crinkles after the photograph was hung and now it looks awful. I did everything I could to flatten the picture but I cannot take it fully out of the frame without ripping the photograph itself. Since it was after their 60 policy when this started happening they won't refund or replace it. BEWARE the picture is riddled with crinkles. Low quality frame job and based on how it is mounted I can't reframe without ruining the print. I essentially just threw away $150. I don't recommend.
Doesnt offer assistance via phone; only email. Society6 doesn't seem to care about customers w disabilities. My aunt has physical disabilities and needs assistance when dealing with online transactions/using electronic devices. Thus she has to wait on me to conduct business for her, which some things are back and forth and takes days/weeks to resolve depending on schedule
Or may be topic she prefers to handle/private. Takes an emotional toll on her when she's not able to be independent. All she asked for was a phone call to be able to handle the matter on her own; they said no even when I advised of her limitation. A easy/reasonable accommodation that could have been done using a supervisor's phone; while blocking the #. Other company go above and beyond this to provide assistance to people with disabilities on a 1 off/case by case basis such as carrying items for customers or reading an entire document for a customer or filling out a form. Yet they refuse a phone call saying they don't offer phone customer service vs finding a way to honor a 1 time request. She wasn't asking them to change their entire business model.
However, they had no problem accepting her money and order.
Pixelated blurry prints, money back guarantee is a lie, no hassle free returns, no contact info on website to address any issues.
I am extremely disappointed in Society6. I paid for customs, shipping and for a new case that I was so excited for, the first time around. However, Society6 did not deliver the correct case. I emailed them to inform them of their mistake and they immediately responded by telling me they would send me a replacement case, free of charge (I'd hope so since I paid for the first case and received the incorrect one).
Yesterday, I received notice that my package was being held at the Post Office for me to pick-up. When I got there, I was asked to pay $16 in shipping fees, as requested by Society6. In other words, Society6 put on the packaging details that the cost of shipping would fall on the receivers lap, rather than on their own, for a replacement case, that they offered me, in order to fix their original mistake.
When contacting customer service to inform them of the events that took place, they offered me a "one time only $16 voucher to Society6 for my next phone case". Rather than refunding me the money that they got me to pay, they are asking me to invest further in their company.
I'm appalled.
I would have sent my case back and ordered from another company, had Society6 been transparent with me that they would be charging me MORE money for them to fix THEIR mistake - not mine. In telling customer service that I was extremely disappointed and would rather have returned my case, they told me I could send both of the cases back (the incorrect one and the new one), once again, at my own expense.
In sum, I have now paid for shipping fees, customs charges, and the cost of an incorrect phone case, as well as the shipping of a correct phone case.
I'm quite disgusted.
Pains me to write this as I was a huge fan of this company. Have referred many to them. Recently bought outdoor cushions ($200+) and the discount code they offered didn't work. After MANY texts and emails over a couple WEEKS trying to make my purchase, somehow it ultimately got placed twice. I only needed three, not six! Customer service (Kevin) said too bad, made no apology and said I have to ship them back at my own cost. I can't even fit them in my car and it will cost almost as much to ship them back than it was to buy them since the boxes are oversized. Asked them to reconsider and was told too bad. So disappointing.
Ordered a shower curtain that had a price advertised in Canadian dollars. When the order went through it was charged in American, then when the item finally arrives a month later, there's a 17 dollar C. O. D. Charge on top! None of this was disclosed anywhere in the process. Do not use this company if you're outside the USA unless you're comfortable paying $100 for a shower curtain
I recently ordered a credenza from Society6 and tried to cancel the order but they said that you could only cancel 1 hour after ordering but that I had 60 days to return the item. So when UPS tried to deliver it I declined the order and sent it back. Now So now that it was returned they are saying no returns on furniture. So now they have the furniture and my $567.22. I have reached out to my bank for help and they have filed a claim. Do not order from this company! I don't know how they can just keep my money!
Due to the cloth material of the pillowcases, they look years old after a few months. They pick up dirt and lint very easily. There's no way to get it off but to pick off the little black lint balls. It doesn't come off in the laundry.
Although I like the print my polyester comforter was 110. But by the time it was sent to Canada, I paid another 90. The qualitiy should've been only 40. But that's what you get ordering from a so called artist through Amazon.com. Feeling so ripped off as a very low income senior
I ordered the stained glass window curtains and they are wonderful! I'm making a midievel theme bedroom and ordered tapestries from another site and they all go together perfectly!. I just need some midievel wall art and an outside scene midievel tapestry. And to move my vacuum
I like the idea of this site. Helping artist. I had a pretty good expereince with them. I ordered a cell phone case. I didn't get a email confirmation so I sent a message to them. Monica found it and forwarded it to me. I was told I will get another email when it shipped. I never got a email but 5 days later I received the case. Generally very happy with the sturdy construction but was surprised that the description was not exactly what I received. I orderd what I thought was a leather case but what arrived was a skin that looked like leather. I went back to the description thinking I miss read it. After contacting them about it, once again Monica replied with an apology and an offer of a refund. Not sure if the website was incorrect or the artist made a mistake, but the pooint is they fixed it and I'm happy. I definatley recommend this company.
I ordered a floor pillow 30x30 and was sent the wrong size (was sent the 26x26). The quality of the pillow was awful, it was misshaped and considering I paid $76 for it (including $15 for shipping). I will never order from them again. Not quality products. Save your money.
The quality of the products at Society 6 is very poor at best. Not impressed at all! I recently bought a rug that is the cheapest thing I have ever seen. I asked to return it and they just gave me my money back without asking for the product back. That tells me that they over charged by a HUGE amount of money!
I ordered a poster, and while it was printed on very nice paper, the image was very low quality, the artifacts visible indicate they used a low res picture, and the bottom of the image is cut off. For the price I'm very disappointed.
Purchased a bookbag for my son. It was over $60 and the print on it is very poor. They are big bugs but they are fuzzy like the photo was stretched to much to stay in focus. The spiders legs aren't even connected. I'm super disappointed. The rest of the bag is fine but the whole point in ordering it was the bugs. I was excited to order more stuff but not now.
Purchased an item from a young entrepreneur and artist to support her start. Society6 sent a badly made item that was unusable and with a finish that did not match the photo. The zipper was not even placed properly and I ended up hiring a local seamstress to fix it. I sent them a note and they did nothing: no answers, no offer for a replacement. They are taking advantage of young entrepreneurs. I sent the artist quiet feedback directly with a video of my purchase so I would not compromise her public reviews – her art is still beautiful and she is not the one manually making her products. This way she can find another vendor (I hope!).
I ordered a "art deco" shower curtain. The image is a cheap. Blurry scan. Poor quality. Completely different than image on the site. Buyer beware, stay away, dont get fooled. Just dont buy.
I make lampshades, and Society 6 had some wonderful midcentury modern wrapping paper. I ordered two different designs (5 sheets in each design) and waited... and waited... and waited. It took forever for the paper to come. When it finally arrived and I began to prepare the paper for the lampshade wire (I affix it to adhesive styrene), I noticed that the reverse side had grid all over it, as well as the company's name. When holding it up to a light, it was apparent that the grid and name showed through. Therefore, in order to make the shade, I had to back it with black lampshade paper, which unfortunately also blocked out most of the light. There's no reason for the grid... it's wrapping paper, not kitchen drawer paper! I will never order from them again. Never had this problem with any other company.
Answer: The pricing on our site is listed USD. I hope this helps!
Answer: All of our products are produced on files supplied by independent artists. If the file is too small, it may look bad on orders. Please reach out to our customer service team and they can advise if it may be a production issue. https://society6.com/help/contact
Answer: Please reach out to our customer support team and they will be happy to assist you with any returns.
Answer: I'm sorry for the delay responding to you on this. Unfortunately, we're unable to charge import taxes before hand. So you would have to cover duties since the shipment would be coming from the United States. I would definitely recommend checking with Canadian Customs to see what the requirements are for charging duties and break your order up into smaller orders. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support in the link at the top of our SiteJabber Page.
Answer: Hi Christine, Thank you so much for reaching out. I'm going to investigate and follow up with you via email in just a few minutes.
