Flipkart and Myntra spoiled me with their fast delivery, awesome support and quick returns. I assumed that every e-commerce website is same. Well, reality struck me hard in my face when I ordered a product from snapdeal. I was becoming quite carefree with online stuff and needed a bitter reminder that there are frauds on internet.
I ordered a product on 2nd October and paid online. The initial estimated time was 13th October which I believed was a tad bit late. I still had high hopes from them and assumed that they will deliver it on time. 13th came and went and I didn't received my product. I waited till 18th October and then I noticed that the courier service has delayed the delivery for indefinite time. The product was stuck in a place 250 km away from my hometown since 12th October and no movement was made between this period. There was no information on when they will reattempt the delivery. I thought cancelling the order would be right decision because when I spoke to snapdeal customer support they said that the courier service has misplaced your shipment. I received an email that you can expect your refund in the next 6 days.
It's been 27th October now and the delivery has not been made yet and it's still showing the same message. Shipment exception, delay beyond our control. No specified date and time for delivery. The thing is that Snapdeal support are saying that they will only refund my money when the courier company will send back the product to seller. The courier company is not doing any activity since 12th October, so I don't know when they will attempt delivery or return it to seller.
Snapdeal Customer Support
What's the worst part of all this is the pathetic customer support they provide. When you call their customer care number, you have to wait atleast 15 minutes before the call connects to the customer care executive. So far I've made 6 calls on their support, costing me more than 100 and I'm yet to find closure.
The executive told me that my product was misplaced and that's why it was delayed. He assured me that they will send it abhi before 18th October.
He asked me to wait for further 6 days after 18th October as they are still reattempting delivery. I disconnected the phone right at the moment and submitted a cancel request.
I was expecting my refund on 24th so I called and their customer support executive sympathized with me. He assured me that I don't have to call him again and he will make sure that I will get my refund in the next 24 hours. He also said that the courier company has misplaced my shipment.
When the refund was not initiated in the next 24 hours I called again. This time their customer care executive told me that the previous person misinformed me and it was not their policy to refund money before the seller receives the cancelled item back. I explained him my situation and he said that he will provide me the courier company's number so that I can call them and ask why they are not delivering my product. I told him that it's not my responsibility to ask the courier company and that I've ordered the product from snapdeal and not from that courier company. He told me that he will escalate the issue to a senior level and I call again tomorrow to know the reason why delivery was not made in the first place.
I called again next day that is today to know the reason why my order is stuck in the same place for the past 14 days and why the courier company never attempted delivery. The guy quickly dodged all my questions and he kept cross questioning me about irrelevant details. I had to remind him that he is sounding arrogant and he should answer what I asked him in the first place. He replied that he doesn't have the required information and he is forwarding my call to a senior level. He disconnected the call right away.
I called again and this time a lady answered the phone. I was talking in Hindi and she said that she will answer me only if I can talk in English. The $#*! thought I'm an illiterate fool. So I again asked the same question that why my product is not delivered yet and she couldn't provide me an answer. I asked what happen if the courier company has misplaced the item, then it will never be going to return to seller. How will you refund my money then? She said that she doesn't know that information and she is quite sure that the courier company will reattempt delivery by 29th October and I have to return it right away to get my refund.
I thought giving a look at their Facebook page and I noticed that a lot of people have the exact same problem which I have. I posted my grievance there. Within a minute I got a reply that they will resolve my problem and I have to just message them my order id in the message inbox. The truth is they were just pretending to help there. I gave my order id and I'm yet to hear anything from them.
So this is my experience of snapdeal. It was the first and last time I've used it. Not going to order from snapdeal ever again and I hope whoever is reading this will do the same.
Seriously guys, My only advice for you is that you refrain from using this site as you can't imagine the mental torture you are getting into. I will suggest you to use reliable brands like Flipkart and Amazon even if a product is a tad costlier their.
I want to share my highly disappointing experience with snapdeal during the unbox Diwali sale ( Oct 2016 )
I ordered an iPhone 5s 16 GB Silver, order ID:15581890280 on October 3 2016 and it was supposed to be delivered on October 7, which they did on the previous day itself which was very good on their part. But the praises cease to exist from then:
During the use of my new phone on the following days I started to find that it lagged a lot and once when it was very unresponsive I did a hard reboot ( done by pressing the home button and the power button simultaneously for 10 seconds) during which it showed a blue screen with black lines running through it just like what a phone would look if it glitches. I knew something wasn't right there, so I immediately phoned the Apple Store and asked them if this phenomenon was normal to which they replied that it wasn't normal and you have received a defective product. They also suggested me to ask for a replacement from the retailer I had bought it from, if it was before the replacement/return time frame.
As it was only a couple of days since I started using the iPhone I filed for a replacement and this is when things started going deceiving.
Before the product was 'eligible' for replacement it has to go through a check by an authorised engineer from snapdeal who will visit my place and confirm the fault.
The engineer did the same and only after that the replacement was accepted on October 9.
The complete product was picked up by nuvoex courier which is snapdeal's authorised shipping brand. The courier person checked if the box contained the full product with all its contents and then he accepted the package and gave me an acknowledgment citing that he has received the complete product, the product was picked up on October 12.
October 15: the website said 'Quality check in progress'
I was confused to why they needed an extra examination apart from the one did by their engineer, but I was okay since I have received the faulty product nod from the engineer itself.
That night I just logged in to my Snapdeal account to check the proceedings and was furiated to know that my replacement has been denied and that the old product will be sent back.
I immediately called Snapdeal and was told to wait 24 hours for a call from the so called 'escalation team' which I failed to get, so I called them back again to hear the same thing again and again for the next five days.
Fast forward five days ( October 17 ) and I got a call from them,

When asked for the reason for denial of replacement, I was told that they have received an incomplete package ( without earphones ) and that they would ship the old product within five days.
I called Snapdeal again and told them about their misconception and that I have sent the full product and told them I have the proof of copy, which I even mailed to them.
Since then I never received a satisfactory response. The call from 'escalation team' was scheduled again and I told them that there a miscommunication on their side for which they kept on telling that I have retained the earphones with myself.
Today (October 22) I received the old product with missing earphones in spite of me telling them that I have sent the complete product and that I demand for a replacement.
0. How can a faulty product, certified by their engineer become healthy when they test it?
0. How can the earphone which was inside the box (for which the proof I have) suddenly disappear upon reaching their office?
There are some loopholes within their authorities and services which they use to play games with their customers.
I sent a faulty iPhone and got back the faulty iPhone minus the earphones
My gain: Nothing.

After this horrible experience I am forced to write this
I am now qualified to say that I can sing the snapdeal's 'Unbox zindagi' song from hours of waiting on the customer support which is not even toll free.
I have cumulatively lost 4-5 hours from talking to Snapdeal and waiting on their non-toll free customer support number.
What they did:They had my faulty phone for the previous 10 days and returned the same back to me without the earphones.
I would suggest the people out there not to trust Snapdeal with your hard earned money.
There are far more credible online shopping site like Flipkart and amazon which have a more empathetic customer support wing.
I sincerely hope never to even open their website ever again

hi...i recently bought a guess watch and after assuring that iw ill gget a new replacement.You people have refunded the amount without intimating me.I wanted that watch badly and now you are saying refund initiated.This is really bull$#*! because i ahve been taking regular follow up from you guys from 6th oct till today and yesterday one supervisor assured me that the product is cominh under trusr pay policy and it will be replaced..Today my reverse pick up was initiated and after that i got a notification that refund completed for the order no(5536933).....This is really disgusting service.Please do something.I never asked for a refund.
I m Krishna Parmar. I have ordered one top from snapdeal, Order ID is 15819364814 on 09/10/2016. but material was not good that i expected. so i had make refund request for this item. I m failed to return in first attempton 16/10/2016 because it was sunday. Courier man using bad words that u will not get refund tomorrow. then i had spoken that i will going to complain about this to your customer care then he told me that you can do whatever i don't care. then he run away. "What a bad behavior of him." He must have to guide me what is next procedure. then i called in customer care and rescheduled on 17/10/2016 it with the help snapdeal customer support. but courier partner not came to my address again and close the request without any confirmation call or message.
Than again i rescheduled 18/10/2016 the pickup schedule. The courier partner was changed. then i thought i will be done. but once again they close my request without any confirmation. my order status shows me that "pickup scheduled". so i was waiting. i have called customer care 15 to 20 times every day i called them. they said ya mam we have surely done it today or 2 or 3 working days. but no one is coming. i fed up and mail to customer support. they only revert me "We are eager to resolve your concerns and will contact you within a maximum of 24 hours. We'll either call you from 0124 6255500* or email you regarding your request." but still i don't have any call or mail.

Bought "Puma 917 Lo 2 Dp Blue Sneaker Casual Shoes" on the snapdeal. unfortunately , I was not comfortable with the size and hence placed a replacement order. now its been around a month and yet they have not picked the item for replacement. the courier services associated with snapdeal are worst. they not even called me once and marked that they tried to pick the product but I was not reachable.
Worst services. wont recommend snapdeal to my friends.

I have ordered 'Oomph! Peach Chiffon Saree' from snapdeal on 03 Oct, 2016 and got delivery on 07 Oct, 2016.
I did not like the item as its not what I ordered, the material and design is not as expected, hence I placed Return request on 08 Oct, 2016, and as per timeline details of my order my item pickup should be done on or before 10th Oct 2016.
But the pickup is being done on 20th Oct 2016 after having long followup with your team.
Now I have received below email saying We have closed your return request and the reason is its not passed through quality check.

So, if snapdeal doesnt want to return the money and its return policy is only for show purpose then I think I have use my consumer rights and ask for my refund via consumer court.
This is not a question of amount which Snapdeal has to return, but the question of SNAPDeal's reputation in Online Ecommerce business. If this is the service snapdeal gives then I will do the needful for my rights ASAP.

I want to share my recent experience with snapdeal. I have ordered chopper from snapdeal my order id is 15697483042. They have send me chopper of another local company then i have replaced it again they have send chopper of local company. I have complained it before raising replacement request there is no quality check in snapdeal again i have checked the review i find that they send duplicate product of another company i suggest please do not go with snapdeal they are completely fake they do everything to sell the product at cheap cost.Thanks

I really regret to say that I had worst experience with Snapdeal. I have ordered "
Fastrack Blue Non Leather Sling Bag ". I had a very bad experience in receiving the product. Item delivery was delayed a lot. And also I went to collect the item. I called the courier person and asked him to deliver the item to the address mentioned for delivery address and also said that will direct him to reach the address. Delivery person said that he will not come to deliver the item and asked me to collect it. After collecting it, I found the item is not the correct one which I ordered. I ordered for blue color bag but received pink color bag. So I have placed return request to pick up the item. Even for picking up the item also it is getting delayed. I am not going to office and staying in home that the person will come to pick up the item. But no one came or contacted me. I never faced such problems with Flipkart or Amazon. Really this is terrible and worst experience to me with Snapdeal.

My order was returned two times saying undeliverable. Bloody i did not received single call from these guys or courier guys saying ur order is here.
Without intimating they are saying non delivarable.
& even more strange on their app u will not found any customer care number or email. U just can not contact them. Finally i got one number but that is also of no use, it only gives ubsystem generated replies there is no one availabe to answer ur quriea.

During festival discount sale that started on october 2, I was eligible for a instant cashback of Rs.2000, if I used a citi card. I used the card and applied the discount and till payment the discounted price was displayed. But when the payment was made the entire amount was debited. I tried contacting snapdeal on the customer care number, and the response was horrible. The customer service representatives had no idea how to handle the situation. I tried to escalate the call, and I was put on hold for about 20 min and then call was disconnected(This happened three times).
I ordered One item 16GB Micro SD Card Class 10, on dated 6-10-2016 that the Courier was delivered to me on dated 09-10-2016. That the Card was delivered by the ECOM Express Courier agency. That the micro SD card was already taken at the time of Dispatch of the Snap Deal Warehouse address at Khasra Np. 26/13, 14, 15/1, 16/1, 17/1. 18/1, 27/11 VIII, Sadhrana Village, City:- Gurgaon, State:- Haryana, Pin 123505. That the Courier tape was full wrapped and I checked before taking that it would not be tampered from any side. That as I open the packet on my table I found the the Micro SC Card 16GB was missing and only the adapter was in it. I at same time reported to the Snapdeal and share the same images which I upload here. They say that don't worry your product is covered from Snapdeal guarantee and insurance. That after that they say that your case was escalated and a internal enquiry was made for this to checking where the problem was generated. That after 2-3 days that kindly shipped the same incomplete item back to their warehouse through same packaging. I shipped to the same ware house address on dated 14-10-2016 with shipping cost of DTDC Rs 200/-. That on 15-10-2016 a Snapdeal customer care call me that they make their check thru company side and your refund not be made to you and you keep the item with you and they closing my complaint and no refund was made to you for this item missing from the Box. I get so much angry from inside that I decide not to buy any item from onwards today from Snapdeal and buy from only Amazon.in or Ebay.in or Flipkart.in . That only Rs 345/- item they say that I am telling lie to him while I wasted so many hours and my phone calls to contacting customer care on this issue and get bothered so much and they have adamant on their cheating behavior.
If I buy any costly item Rs 1000 to Rs 25000/- and then item will similarly get missing then I get so much financial loss that my mind and heart break for this type of cheating Online Business. That today Snapdeal case heard of getting bathing Soap when they ordered mobile I heard in Print media but not believe too much but when the same thing happened to me I believe that Snapdeal is a hooligan, cheater and fraud and thief company in India. So I barred from my side Snapdeal since today. May be in two to 10 times you get correct item but one item in any day may bring the same problem to you as I faced today. The Company has bad ass employees and its Sellers and channel partners are also fraud and cheater as they are. This was shared so that some know that the Snapdeal becomes no a days.

I must inform to every one that Buying furniture from snapdeal could be very risky as because i have purchased a Crystal Furnitech Wego King Size Hydraulic Storage Bed and the whole bed delivered by snapdeal is defective.
Snapdeal team is regularly postponing the replacement of bed from 2 months of my purchase and after 2 months they are directly denying to help me.
Moreover they are saying once you have purchased a furniture , you can not replace it.
They are providing worst service, such a cheap seller snapdeal is.

They r not at all trust worthy.. cash back not credited by them . I had to fight fr it fr almost 3 Months. Finally I dealt with indusind bank direct n got the cash back. Today I ordered three shampoos. One came with perfect packing. Other 02 were leaking with no replacement. Snapdeal refused to replace. So be careful. Last I tried to order mobile phone at 2357 hrs with instant bank discount which was applied but at the end of transaction was declined by them very disappointed
I had posted one of my issues with regards to my grievance with snapdeal. To top it off there custommer care has become a total harassment. There is no option on automated system to speak to customer care executive. The help Centre has laid down set of queries which puts them in a non committal position. If u have any other issue u are not given an option to write it. Guys please think before u shop from this fraudulent site.

Reshmi, I believe you already got your answer. Just to reiterate all, just click pictures of damage products and sent is across to their complaint cell. I am sure you have to take so many follow ups. In the meanwhile you can contact consumer court if SCRAPDEAL team didn’t reply in the said time. Make sure, if you want to approach court to sue them then you need to carry proper proofs like picture of damage product, calls/sms or email copies which shows that you contact snapdeal in stipulated time as per their return/damage policy etc. Also you can post few negative comments on other social networking sites with pictures.

Well, it is waste of time because I have purchased Nike shoes on June 2, 2019, as they have sent the wrong shoes and I return back, they want me to refund my money, till date hasn't refunded my money, as they keep asking the bank details though I have provided everything. They keep asking for my bank statement, though I have purchased the item or product on COD ..cash on delivery, as I have provided the bank account number, IFCS code, branch code. They are just playing sending emails saying send them bank statements in PDF file only. There is no customer care to speak as they have an automated message on the phone when you try to call customer care. Hopeless service and these people are spam, I think I need to complain about consumer court. Snapdeal is a big spam..A big Zero rating.

When i have purchased the product through cash on delivery, why I should send my bank statement. Though I have send all my bank details still I'm getting a stupid reply asking the same..what a bull$#*! service and refund policy
