While their customer sevice is ok but to show unavailable stocks on their website as available to purchase, is misleading and very unprofessional! Any solid company would understand the importance of a well organized inventory.
I have placed an order of a pair of Persol sunglasses only to found out later that not only is not available but they claimed that their supplier have no disclose date on when it will be restock, not only that, pushed me to select mens style sunglasses that clearly would not fit me well as I am a woman and then recommended me to buy higher priced
Sunglasses instead and only provide a measly 5% discount!
When I have clearly stated TWICE how disappointed on this and would like an immediate refund, they never complie on my request and now, sent me a payment invoice request via Paypal!
How dare you guys do business like this?!
As of now, I am still waiting for my full refund.
Never in my life experience something as absurd as this!
I will never buy from you again and will urge others to stay away from buying from you.

Even if they reply you and promise you issue an refund, they are all excuses and full of BS, all they do is stall the refund. Until the refund amount posted back on my card, any words or replies from them are pure BS nothing more.
Do not put your trust in their words.

I'm an ex-pat Brit living in SA. I separately ordered two pairs of designer sunglasses (no prescription lenses) - one Ray Ban Clubmans one D&G ladies. In both cases the prices were much cheaper than I could have ordered them anywhere else locally and even cheaper that on any of the sites I have used in the US and UK (even before the current rand weakness!) I was also sceptical when I discovered they were coming from HK and expected to find myself paying customs duties on them. However, as stated elsewhere I was surprised when the Ray Bans were delivered to my door by courier within three days - perfect in every way, not fakes - and no duty to pay. The D&G ones took slightly longer - about 10 days - but it was right before Christmas and they are more expensive and rarer, so may have been out of stock. Again though perfect, delivered by courier to the door. Both came with a free lense cleaning kit that another well known international sunglasses store previously charged me about R150 for! Excellent product, excellent service, highly recommended.

Horrible experience!

I have ordered my sun glasses two weeks ago, they said it was a risk transation and that I had to send a photo of my passport because I`m from Brasil.

I sent my photo 6 times, yes SIX TIMES, and two weeks later I don`t have my glasses. I already asked them to call me, and they don`t call me. THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND I DON`T HAVE MY SUNGLASSES and i`m going on a trip this week...

I`m awfully regretted for buying with them... every contact that I have with them with e-mail they take a HOLL DAY to answer, and NEVER explain to me what`s happening, and when will my glasses arrive...

Don`t waste your time, go to another website, or to a shop. It`s not worth it the stress, really...

Checked trustpilot quickly before buying. When package came from Hong Kong I got suspicious. Learned that smartbuyglasses isnt a authorized dealer of ray-ban at all. The glasses arrived and the general freeling fom the package, box, glasses felt fake. And OFCOURSE I disnt recieve the original lenses that was supposed to be along with the perscription lenses. Amazing since this was acctually confirmed by customor service before dispatch.

I would like to take legal actions since I get irritated by this big of a company stealing money from customers and legit companies like Ray-Ban.

I dont want to return my shipping because Im afraid from the other reviews that I will be without money and fake glasses...

Very disapoint WEB-Site. Made my order, has been canceled by the company, and reaprooved again. Already send more than 10 e-mails, and until now no one respond me. Since 5 of April 2012, i request that my order to be canceled and a refund of my money, and until now, no answers to my e-mails or my money. Booked eyeglasses from India, the courier they are dealing with Indian side (DTDC) is very bad. And frame I ordered miraaflex after receiving it I observed it's quality is poor

Terrible company

Terrible company. Awful customer service. Long wait plus no telephone number to call for help. I ordered glasses from SmartBuyGlasses.com thinking it would save me money. Don't do it! What a headache. It took a month PLUS to receive the glasses. Then upon wearing them the front screw that holds the glasses together popped out. I wrote to SmartBuyGlasses and no one responded to my email at customer service. I then took the glasses to three independent optical business and NONE of them had the right screw to replace it - they all said go back to the company. So I wrote AGAIN to SmartBuyGlasses and explained everything and asked them to send me the proper screws to fix this? It would cost them nothing to do and have made me very happy. Instead their customer service rep - Jerome- writes back -- "Take the glasses to a local optometrist," as though he NEVER read my compliant in the first place. What a waste. These were pricey glasses to begin with. Don't do business with this company, fair warning.

Ok so at first I thought HongKong+low price=scam.
I placed an order for Ray Ban aviators anyway because I like taking risks and... SURPRISE!

Ordered on friday 12th July, got the sunglasses on monday 15th July in the morning.
THEY ARE TOTALLY NOT FAKE AND IF THEY ARE... well in that case I must give credit to the manufacturer because they appear FLAWLESS and have all the original Ray Ban marks such as:
- the case is the original one
- no hanging tags (which is a sign of imitation RayBans)
- presence of ALL original silkscreen printings on lenses and on temples
- Luxottica barcode on the side of box

Also, their customer service always kept me updated on the order status.

I DEFINITELY WILL BUY ON THEIR SITE AGAIN AND WILL RECOMMEND THEM.

I bought a pair of sunglasses which says "in stock" on their website. The money was taken out of my bank account. I was under the impression that everything's ok. I waited. Then, I thought of following up after several days, just to find out from "Camille" that the item is out of stock, and that they have discontinued my order without even advising me of what happened. If I didn't follow up, who knows how long I'm gonna be waiting for nothing!?!

She apologised for the inconvenience and offered me a 5% discount on my next order. I said I prefer to proceed with the cancellation process. She said, she'll send a confirmation email right after our chat, but it didn't happen. I had to message her again before I got the said email in my Inbox. The reason why I messaged her again was because I thought of just changing my order, as what my partner has suggested. She replied saying she'll be happy to assist me. Then, I said I suppose she hasn't processed my cancellation yet since I haven't received any confirmation email yet. Then, I told her I happened to like a new item on the link that she sent me but wanted to make sure that the said item is really in stock. I asked if she could help me, then she didn't answer anymore. After about 5 minutes, I got the confirmation of the cancellation of my order. I sent her few more messages but she never replied anymore. Now, I just hope I'll get my money back in sonest possible time.

Value your customers 'coz without them, you wouldn't have a business!

Going to clarify my original review. I first have 100% proof of all docs, sent in my glasses with my RMA number and conversations and they ignore me fully.

This all started in April or so, I emailed and asked hey can you make me a new pair of glasses, the same as they made in 2018. The rep emailed me back an RMA#. I did not ask to return the 2018 glasses, I stated I want a new pair from you. She noticed her issue and we proceeded to place a new order.

Got the new glasses, there was an issue, no worries so I emailed for an RMA number. A new rep sent me an RMA#, turns out it was the same one they used in May during my first contact with them when they made the mistake of a return even though I wanted a new pair. Since then they will not refund me and kept telling me I sent in the return with an OLD RMA number. They sent me the same RMA number in AUG as they did by mistake in May. Not my fault, I did as the asked, tracked it, they have it and even sent me an email stating they did. They still will not refund. I did nothing wrong and followed all rules and used the AUG RMA#.

I was having a tough time buying authentic Ray-Ban sunglasses due to the fact duplicate or fake Ray-Ban sunglasses are being sold widely.

The 1st time, I purchased Ray-Ban sunglasses from Lenskart and they had sent used sunglasses. It was dirty and covered with dust particles. I had to return it for a refund.

The 2nd time, I purchased Ray-Ban sunglasses from GKB Opticals and that was the worst experience of my life. Apart from charging shipping fee, they sent me sunglasses that was not only used & old but the outer box was completely soiled probably due to lot of handling and aging. I had a tough time getting my money back as they said they have no refund policy. Even worst, they deducted return shipping fee from the refund amount.

As I was struggling with bad experiences from two different vendors, I came across SmartBuy Glasses and purchased Ray-Ban sunglasses from them. It was rather surprising that they had shipped the product from Hong Kong to India without any shipping fee. And even more surprising because the product was delivered in less than a week.

I received a 100% genuine & authentic Ray-Ban sunglasses and the packaging was just superb. They even sent me a free gift along.

I did like to say that people at SmartBuy Glasses are professionals. Don't take my word for it but rather experience it for yourself.

I would love to shop for sunglasses and optics from SmartBuy Glasses only.
