I received a damaged product the first time I ordered and they were quick to respond and get a replacement sent right away, which I appreciate. I feel very much in the dark though when I place my order about when the product should come. No eta at all. Even with the arrive app they suggest. Also, the quality isn't as good as I was hoping, but still looks good once on the wall. I just ordered 3 more custom items from them, hoping to be pleasantly surprised. All in all decent, but hope they start giving me an eta when my order is placed.
I'm pretty shocked to see all these negative reviews. We've ordered lots from them and have always been so happy with how it has turned out. We ordered the XL "I choose you" framed print for our bedroom, a Twas the Night Before Christmas framed sign and 4 different scrolls for my son's nursery and we have loved them all so much. I love the farmhouse feel they give our more modern apartment and I love changing out a few signs around the holidays too. I really wanted to see reviews about the peel and stick wallpaper to see how others liked it so I thought I'd chime in about our past purchases. Would definitely order again in the future!

I had been looking at smallwoods for a long time. I kept seeing the ads on Facebook and reading the "happy customers" in the comments. I decided I wanted our family pictures that we had just taken in November blown up as my Christmas gift. Before I ordered I googled reviews and the online reviews were not as good as the Facebook ones. Lots of "damaged items" refused refund" poor customer service" "blurry photos with no alert that they would print blurry" etc. I was nervous and decided to check some other places but nothing else could beat the size and price and they are framed! Then I found a couple of friends who had ordered and loved what they got so I decided to just go for it. I figured if I payed with paypal I could always file a claim and get my money back so no harm no foul in the end. Well, I just got my pictures and they are amazing! I did do everything they recommend which was use google chrome, order through their actual website, not Facebook, use a computer and use high resolution photos (apparently phones dilute the resolution so uploading your session to your computer and then to small words is best) The shipping was sort of slow but it was around the holidays so no big deal. They were here in less than two weeks. But they look amazing. The only thing I think they could improve on is packing. There isn't anything around the pictures to protect them in the event of careless parcel people.
I ordered three of the square and two were in the same box with no protection (so banging against each other) Mine were fine but I can definitely see how some damage could occur to the frames or images. Shipping was expensive so there is really no reason not to protect them. All in all I am extremely happy with them and will definitely order again.
Do not buy from this company. They will send you duplicates of your purchase and then when they realize their mistake they will either force you to pay for it or drive to a location to ship it back. SCAM!
I came to give my awesome review, and I was honestly surprised to see so many negative reviews. I have ordered many of their custom framed pictures and a couple hanging canvas pictures with the twine, and I have always been very impressed. I was especially impressed by the diligence that was taken to pack the hanging canvas to ensure its good condition with delivery. There are many people complaining about the big pictures being blurry, but that is bound to happen when you make large prints; I never expect perfect quality with large prints. Plus, there is even a pop-up message on the site after you upload a picture that warns you if you will have a blurry picture, and it tells you that you need to upload a picture with better resolution. If you ignore that, that is on you... not the business. I will say that I have never had to deal with customer service, though. Can't speak there. I will keep using this company. I have attached pictures of all my orders for reference.
I have ordered a total of seven "create your own" photographs and all of them have been perfect except one, which was ruined during the shipping process. They have responded to my emails promptly and are sending me a replacement without asking me to send the damaged photograph back. They are even trying to rush it to me for Christmas.
I NEVER write reviews so if I am that says a lot. I just purchased from them for the first time after seeing all the hype on social media. Very first order- they sent me someone else's photo! Already off to a bad start... then I kindly email them saying hey no problem, just send me a return label and send me MY order. No response. Sent another email. No response. Just sent a 3rd email with some anger. We'll see. They claim to answer in 24 hours but this is hitting almost day 4 with no response. Terrible. And it makes me very uncomfortable that my family photo is in a strangers possession. ****They also make note of this happening on their website which means they send wrong products out A LOT. This is unacceptable and very unprofessional considering people have pictures of their kids and families made. Stay away from this company, please!
Had an awful experience with delayed shipping a year ago but got my two large custom items in LESS than a week and they're wow! Totally and completely gorgeous! I'm a huge fan now and I'll use them again and again and again.
I received this Gather pictures and was disappointed because it looks dirty on the wood frame and the corners were not closed together, it looks like someone just shipped something that was sent back to them! I would not order from this company again that is just my experience!
I had order 2 Different prints from Smallwood the first one was acceptable in the quality.
The other was very very blurry I did contact them, they told me that there was nothing that could be done. Because, it was taken from a print (which if you read is an option they offer)she said the larger the print the less the quality of the print. I would have had to pay for return shipping and then their shipping.
However, it was nonrefundable.
If they would've contacted me to let me know the quality of the print As it increased in size
I could have had the option to get a smaller print that hopefully would've been up a nicer quality. Now I am stuck with an expensive print that well end up in the trash.
Not to honor their error is wrong.
I hope these are not the values they are teaching their young children.
I ordered 6 pieces from them with pictures I uploaded. The first 2 were delivered and the frame looked good, black as it says in the description. The next 4 I ordered were terrible, the stain barely covered the wood so instead of looking black it looks gray, very poor quality.
I placed my order with Smallwoods but never received a confirmation email of my order. I then searched reviews on the company and was saddened to see all the negative reviews. I thought for sure I had been taken. Had I done my research before I ordered I never would have ordered from the company. I reached out to customer service about my confirmation email and did not hear anything for a day or so. When I did hear back, they confirmed my order and that my email had gone to my husband's email address. I was supplied with a tracking order and date of delivery. My ordered arrived just as they promised. It was packaged neatly and very securely, and was exactly what I ordered. They did a great job.
Very hesitant to order due to all the bad reviews but I was very happy with my two large pictures and my 3 smaller ones. High resolution photos and I had no issues. Will likely order again. But I hope their customer service is better than the reviews of others if you happen to have an issue.
I have had multiple large ordered with this company and just recently ordered a 10$ item that the printing on was cut off from the bottom and the basically said they would do NOTHING about it! Their printing error and they do NOTHING! I will Never order from them again! I would give them a zero star review if it was possible! The quality was so poor (as shown in photo) the plywood was missing in sections of the edge that was left unfinished or smoothed
I am so happy I found small woods. We move info our new home a year ago and small woods helped me decorate it. Small woods has became a slight obsession... I'm on sign #4 already!
Hesitant to order due to all the bad reviews. Decided to give it a chance and so glad that I did. My custom order turned out better than I expected and came extremely fast. Not only did it turn out great but the price was extremely reasonable. Would absolutely recommend and would definitely order from Smallwood again.

I ordered from smallwoods last week and just received my picture (professional picture I may add) and am not please at all. It is super blurry and looks dark and grainy. I asked if I could send it back and order another but they said they didn't see anything wrong with it. I will definitely be sticking to canvasdiscount.com they always do a phenomenal job and if the picture you send ends up blurry then they will tell you right then instead of sending you the canvas and making you pay for it like smallwoods does! Do not use this company because I paid a lot of money for my professional pictures and had them done by an amazing photographer and it looks like they messed up my pic in the canvas they sent!
Warning: I ordered 3 custom canvas prints and the twine to hang them on is uneven. When you hang them on the wall, there is no way to make them line up which looks terrible. As the twine is manufactured into the wood, it is not an easy at-home fix. I reached out to customer service and they will not refund or replace. I am so disappointed and will not be ordering from them in the future.

Don't even try to help you re order or fix anything could careless they will make more money just telling you no and hoping others order at their high prices and I would have cont. To order as I was very happy but now paying$190 for something that don't even care is wrong ya right. Just don't order from them in beginning and you will be fine! Heck Walmart has better customer service! Good luck!
