Like many others, I learned today that Skinstore.com sadly has changed hands and is owned by a UK company. Apparently they no longer accept returns and there is no written policy on this new policy whatsoever. I've shopped at Skinstore.com for over 10 years, and the Customer Service was top notch. Not anymore. Emails that I have sent go unanswered and I get failed return receipts. I will no longer be purchasing from Skinstore.com and have filed a complaint with my credit card company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. I'm not sure it's actually owned by honest people anymore.
Ordered a travel size T3 hairdryer from this company. I live in the UK. Price was on sale. Item arrived with an American plug on it. I bought an adapter and plugged it in. It did work but the adapter cost me 16.99. But am now concerned that the hairdryer may be fake, after reading reviews. Hopefully not.
Don't order from this company! Can't change shipping address on their site can't talk to anyone, except chat on their site. Ordered a product a month ago. No product? No return credit. They refuse to check and see where this product is. Poor customer service. If they were smart they would take care of their customers!
This company is scam! I ordered a full size shampoo and they sent me a sample! When I brought it to their attention, they wanted to offer me $10 for my inconvenience. I paid $24 for a shampoo that they failed to ship to me and they want to refund me $10 for the product I never even received? This incompetent lot somehow came to their senses and shipped me a replacement product. Guess what? It is still the same sample size shampoo. So I am still out $24 and stuck with two samples. This is the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. Stay away!
This is a rip-off, I was charged $270 for product, which I never received. I have sent numerous emails, filed formal complaint and nothing has been done by Skinstore. There is no way of speaking with anyone from the company. All contact is though email which is a JOKE. Do not order from this company.
I will never order from the Skinstore again! Their return policy (or lack there of) is horrible! I had an allergic reaction to one product in my order and the other product burned my skin. I provided all of the information requested and they were still unresponsive for days. I was finally able to get through to chat, which is always unavailable, when the agent kept telling me that I did not provide the expiration date, which I did. All she had to do was check my messages, but she was rude and insisting that I did not provide that information. To make a long story short, I will purchase my products from Sephora, ULTA, Amazon, or any other store that doesn't hassle you if you have an allergic reaction to a product that they sell.
I have no idea as to how this online store is still up and running, it's a total scam. I ordered products almost a month ago and still have not received my full order. I ordered 6 items, with next day delivery, I only received 2 of the items purchased. Then, weeks later after having to constantly speak to customer services on a daily basis about my missing items, the rest of the items were sent out. I have only just received another 3 of the items ordered, they STILL haven't sent out my complete order and the items I ordered are saying they are in stock on the website. Customer services STILL have not resolved my issue and it's impossible to even get in contact with them, takes me ages each time I try. I will never be ordering from them again, it's honestly laughable how useless they all are.
Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. When the order shipped, the tracking link worked. Then a few days after it was supposed to arrive the link didn't work. I have messaged Skinstore several times and they will not provide me the tracking number. Now they are asking me to print off a form and fill it out by hand and scan it back to them in order to do an "investigation". Absolutely, ridiculous. I keep asking for the tracking information and they cannot provide it even though it was originally available.
Order was promised to ship in 24 hours. 1 month later and still have received. Tried to call them. Phone number no longer in service. Went to Facebook messenger, never received a response. Messages them through their site, was promised a response in 24 hours. 3 days later, never came. Got an email my order was shipped with FEDex tracking. But package was never actually shipped. The label was just oddly made. Had to file a credit card dispute, which is not worth the pain when you can order from other reputable companies with the same product.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY LIE AND SELL EXPIRED PRODUCT. I BOUGHT GLYTONE LACTIC ACID WHEN I WENT TO CHECK BATCH CODE ON LABEL NO GOOD. REACHED OUT TO GLYTONE AND IT IS A INVALID CODE. THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME PROOF THAT IT WASN'T. THEY GAVE ME A RRTURN LINK THAT WAS NO GOOD AND FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE RUN AROUND. THEY KEEP SENDING WE HAVE OUR SPECIALIST WORKING ON IT AND THEY WILL GET BACK 3 TO 5 DAYS. WHEN I POSTED MY GOOGLE REVIEW THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND MY ACCOUNT. THEY ASKED ME TO START OVER AND I DID AND NOTHING. THIS COMPANY IS SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCTS. DANGEROUS.
My first purchase from Skinstore was an item I already use so I wasn't worried about returns. Until I received the product and the color was slightly off which was weird. I requested a return: I was emailed a return slip and was instructed to clarify on the package that it was a return so it doesn't get "lost" in their warehouse. I did just that, attached the return label they sent (which was not prepaid) had to pay $6 at the post office and off it went. It's been over a month, they claim they never received my package nor will they refund me so now I'm out my original money and the shipping cost. Horrible customer service for not resolving this. I should not have to take a loss because they have operational issues. Don't shop here.
Worst experience ever! Basically they are taking 0 responsibility after they sent out your package. My package showed as delivered at 2/1/19 but I never received it. So I contacted customer service and fill a form stating I lost a package for them to investigate. After waited another 10 days they told me I need to contact USPS directly. They are not able to refund or replace because the tracking information saying it has already been delivered. Kidding me? I know tracking said delivered, but I never received it that the whole reason I'm contacting you for help! I told customer service it's not my responsibility for doing this and they told me it's not their responsibility either.
So the end of story is I spend over $50 and waited 2 weeks for nothing? What else can I say... SKINSTORE IS THE WORST. Help yourself and stay away!
I received an email with tracking number when my order allegedly shipped. Tracking number was "not found" per shipper. Called skin store, they said no tracking on my order? They've no idea where my order is, but I have to allow 14 days from time it shipped! If it's known it was going to take so long, I never would have ordered. I suggest you consider another vendor.
I bought Aesop products from SkinStore for ~$400. These were very expensive products to begin with. The package arrived with 3 of the items damaged - lids were broken in some & the ingredients had leaked into the box for some. When I reached out to their customer service with an image, they said the best they can do is to pay me back 30% of the total bill.
I purchased some skin care for birthday gifts on the 19th and checked delivery time frame says "3-5 business days if not Hawaii" which is more than sufficient for me so ordered but after a whole week nothing has shipped yet. There's no phone number to call so has to leave message and got response it takes more than 14 days which she said was normal! WTF?! The pandemic restrictions already ended. Do they ship their products from China or somewhere?!
Order get lost (200usd) and never received. When informed them they keep asking questions and asking me to sent form etc which was ok but at the end then said they can do nothing since its has been over 40 days policy.
For 15 years, I ordered from this website, which was formerly owned by doctors. Indeed, some of the skincare lines sold on it require seminars and medical training. Sadly the site has been sold. The website is horrible. The customer service is nonexistent. You are much better off heading to your local aesthetician at a "real" medical facility or going to Sephora or Ulta to buy makeup products. It was convenient and always reliable, but not anymore.
Yes, I am the eternal optimist. I decided to give Skinstore.com one more try. Mistake! They are once again offering a deceptive "22% discount on your order." I guess they assume people cannot do simple math. What they fail to tell you is that the discount does NOT apply to your entire order, only select products. That is deceptive advertising. For goodness sake Skinstore, just tell the truth! Is it really that hard. I didn't get far enough to see if there's a problem with shipping. I just canceled out when I realized they were being deceptive AGAIN. Unbelievable. How did this company go so bad, so fast. They used to be good. Not anymore. :(
I had to argue my $200+ nuface wasnt holding a charge, they argued with me about how its tagline saying "all it takes is 5 minutes!" and if it dies after 10 min, thats on you. What? They never even used this machine, have no idea what it's about and still vehemently stood by this tagline as if it was a fact. The rep was insanely rude, not customer service rude but plainly rude. I had to sit there and explain how that was just a tagline to both her and her supervisor. They wanted me to spend my own money to send back a faulty machine. Wild. It was a 45 min convo, still in disbelief. Heres a real excerpt from our chat.
"Please be advised the item is not broken and please refer to the product description provide above. The label is sent because you insisted on returning the item rather than taking the option to make your life a lot easier and follow the process."
Would give it 0 stars if I could. I understand slow shipping and processing due to COVID-19 But the management and lack of information is unacceptable and can not be blamed on the pandemic. I ordered a product 2 months ago. At first I began to receive to notifications apologizing that it was slow to ship. And then nothing! After 2 months it never came. They closed their customer service Center and was forced to sent them messages online. No one answered any of my messages. Now I'm communicating with them through facebook messenger where they replied every 2 days.

However this needs to be sent back in the same condition received, unopened and unused and within 14 days of your order arriving.
